MASKA – Architectural Studio for Kids & Adults

My son (who is 11) takes a class with Natalia, and he loves it. When I was looking for art classes, I only found places that had children do very realistic work (often mostly tracing at first), but I wanted to find a class where his creative side would be stimulated. Since he also loves building things, this class is great for him as it combines the best of both worlds, art and architecture. Whether or not your child is interested in architecture, he or she will enjoy the kinds of assignments Natalia makes them do, which appeal to girls and boys alike and have them produce colorful, beautiful, and original work. What my son likes most is that he is encouraged to use his imagination in a way he never gets to during art classes at school. We’re always amazed at what he brings home. Natalia is great with children of all ages and really encourages my son to do his best. I highly recommend this studio! We gladly drive half an hour to get to this studio every week. So glad we found this hidden gem. The owner & architect, Natalia Mikhailik, teaches kids from 3 years to high school as well as adults all different approaches to art, architecture, and creativity in general. She gives everybody individualized attention, and therefore keeps her classes small. The art her students create is amazing and original. Natalia doesn’t advertise, we found the studio by accident. I am so glad we did.
