History
Established in 2014.
David is a visual effects artist who has been working in the movie and gaming industry since 2005. He is currently a senior cinematic artist at Blizzard Entertainment and has worked on the cinematics for World of Warcraft, Diablo III, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm.
In August of 2014, David and his husband, Steve, opened up the art gallery featuring digital art work manifested in the physical form by David Luong as well as featuring other amazing local guest artists on the first Saturday of every month from 7pm-10pm during the Santa Ana Art Walk. Select autographed art works will be available for purchase along with artist meet and greets.
Photonic Playground is located at 200 N Bush St, in the beautiful historic artist district of downtown Santa Ana, California, USA.

David Luong is a visual effects artist working in the video games and film industry, a co-author of d’Artiste: Matte Painting 3 book and digital matte painting instructor of CGSociety.org. He is currently a senior cinematic artist at Blizzard Entertainment and has worked on AAA game titles such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.
