Tandoori India Cuisine

Went for lunch buffet but was disaapointed with the lack of choices in items. No briyani which was a big negative in my books. Food tasted alright otherwise. Garlic Naan was especially good. But for the price it fall short compared to the other lunch buffets I have been too.

We’ve been here ½ a dozen times and are never disappointed. The restaurant is somewhat small but the service is always excellent. We always order Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, and Bengan Bharta and don’t seem to deviate since it’s so good. Their prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. This restaurant is our go to for local Indian food!

A solid Indian restaurant. It’s rare that I eat Indian food but being a fan of curry and buffets, I was looking forward to eating here. The interior was clean and bare. Nothing fancy. The buffet station wasn’t big but the food was delicious! I loved their curries (mushroom and 2 chicken). It complimented the rice and the ridiculously good garlic naan. The tandoori chicken was a little dry. The vegetable fritter was slightly salty but good. The salad section was limited but fresh.
Service was top notch. For $ 10.89, the lunch buffet is a great deal. I will be back soon!

I was definitely into the chicken tikka masala. Such good flavor to the sauce, perfect amount of heat. Solid naan. Not a biryani fan in general so i can’t comment.

I was a little disappointed with this place. I came with a large party for a Sunday lunch and we really wanted to try the buffet. The place does not accommodate for larger parties. We asked to see if we could push our tables together, so we awkwardly sat at separate tables while we gorged ourselves.
Also, I would say the food was not that great. I only liked 2 dishes that they served. Most of the curries could have been spicier. If you are considering coming here, I would recommend some other places.

Great flavors and nice menu! Love their masalas! Nice balance of sauce and cream. Their garlic naan is so fresh and good too! We had chicken, shrimp, and lamb!

Pros: Lunch Buffet extends to 4PM. $ 10.95 & affordable. Decent sized selection of entrees. The staff and servers were very quick and attentive. We had a late lunch on Sunday around 3:30p.

High expectations based on Unilocal reviews… sorry to say the food was not what I was expecting. Food was very tasteless and bland. Indian food has this wonderful and distinct taste that keeps people coming back… not today. Buffet was less than desirable. When we eat Indian food the distinct taste of brown meat is usually hidden by the many flavorful seasonings but today it was not. A simple desert such as the gulab jamun was tough in texture. Sorry very disappointed.
Service was good, facility clean.

Excellent Indian food. Thumbs up on the vegetarian platter and paneer (cheese) dishes. Nuff said.
A nice place to eat before going to Segerstrom for a show.

One of my favorite Indian places in Orange County. The one I always forget about too.
Located downstairs in the corner of the 2 level food court area at The Bristol and Sunflower stripmall across from The South Coast Plaza. Offering plenty of parking.
The tiny resturant housed about 8 tables. All of which were empty when we arrived. When we left most of the tables were full. They have a handful of outdoor tables too. Which means dog friendly. Sadly, mine was left at home. Service was awesome. Water was refilled consistently without being asked.
The garlic tandoori chicken is the bomb. I wanted to lick the the plate. Chunks of chicken breast cooked in the Tandori oven served on a sizzling skillet with garlic, onions, bell peppers, and a very light sauce/​coating. Option of spice level but let me tell you. Medium is spicccccccy! Thank goodness for water!
Mahli Kofka, 6 – 7 round vegetable fritters, bathed in a thick tomatoe based sauce. Probally one of the better Mahli Kofkas I’ve had. The extra sauce was perfect for dipping the garlic naan in.
Garlic naan was not as good as others. A little thin and it lacked butter and garlic. Maybe it was just an off night.
Rice was a small portion. Enough for one. Thank goodness I dont eat rice.
Kind of pricy compared to other places with similiar items. About $ 12-​$ 15 per dish. It is served family style. During lunch time they offer an AYCE option for $ 10.99.
Was not completely full when we left. Next time I will order an additional dish.

This place really needs to step it up, seriously! I’ve been avoiding this place whenever I am in the mood for Indian, but location-​wise, it’s fairly convenient to where I work (across the street from SCP on Anton) so I sometimes end up here for lunch with lazy folks that don’t want to drive too far — heck we were going to go to Masalacraft but changed our mind last minute). Far too many better places for Indian lunch/​buffet. Annapoorna is one. Rasoi is another that is pretty amazing.
For those that have eaten at Annapoorna, you know the quality and attention they put to the food. Everything there tastes amazing. Not so much at Tandoori India. I beg the owners of Tandoori India Cuisine to quit turning out mediocre food and please improve on your quality. Not only did you guys increase the lunch buffet from $ 9.95 to $ 10.95, a buffet meal with a drink is $ 14.95 — waaaay too expensive for mediocre food.
Food wise, the chicken tikka masala I had today was probably the most watered down I’d eaten, and the chicken probably the tiniest (and diced) up I had chewed on. The tandoori chicken was equally bad with many burned pieces.
On the plus side, owner and staff are both very nice… So yeah, I would avoid until they work on the quality.

This place is located behind the Euro Café area, towards the far back. We came for lunch buffet, and it was a decent choice.
The chicken tiki masala was decent, and they gave you a choice of naan, and we had the garlic naan which was also pretty good. A lot of the flavors were enjoyable and the taste rather interesting, but you also have to take into account that you are having buffet style food, so the food probably won’t taste the best it could possibly taste.
Great choice for a buffet, but there are better options if you want Indian food (and are willing to eat at a sit down non-​buffet restaurant for it).

Tried the mushroom madras. I really enjoyed it because it had decent spiciness which was close to original indian spiciness. Had a good experience.

Did carry out during lunch buffet hours. I got to pick two dishes and it came with rice and curry. The owner was so nice, she personally packed everything for me and made sure I left with the freshest piping hot garlic naan that was prepared.
I came with a group that wanted to eat elsewhere so I took the food to go and ate outdoors, where there is plenty of tables.
Portion sizes are good, price is decent.
My only regret is I wish I stayed for the all you can eat buffet.

we came into this plaza on a sunday afternoon for another restaurant but ended up here instead because we saw they had $ 10.99 all you can eat lunch buffet. Now if you have ever been to an indian AYCE buffet, you know that it’s really not a hell of a lot of variety but we would have spent the same amount else where for just one plate of food anyway, so i figured we might as well give this a try.
The restaurant is downstairs, tucked away in the corner of the food court, inside is small, probably about 7 – 8 tables. though small, there were plenty of diners here on this sunday afternoon. the buffet/​hot table looked good and consisted of your normal indian dishes such as white basmati rice, yellow basmati rice, chicken tiki masala, chicken curry, mushroom masala, palak paneer (spinach), tandoori chicken, there were a couple of other vegetable curry dishes which i do not remember the names of. there were two dessert type dishes and a pretty basic (very basic) salad section which i did not try. Regular naan or garlic naan also comes with your buffet. We had the garlic naan, it was freshly toasted, thin and perfect for dipping into all the sauces.
i, of course, always load up on protein so i went for all the chicken dishes first and added the vegetables dishes on the side. i enjoyed EVERYTHING i had from this buffet. The ONLY thing i would avoid is the white meat from the tandoori chicken because it was really dry. i went back and got a dark piece and it was MUCH better.
the staff was super attentive and got our water and took our dirty plates away quickly. my beau also had a bottle of the Indian beer (pilsner) which he said was too light for him but perfect pairing with the this type of cuisine. if i come back again, i would do the lunch buffet because the price is just right and i can eat as little or as much as my stomach will allow.

The sign for their lunch special buffet caught my attention, so my lady and I decided to have some Indian food for lunch. It’s limited seating inside, so it can be a little bit of a wait.
They had a pretty good selection for their buffet and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Everything was really good, especially the chicken tikka masala was really good and our meal also came w/​either regular or garlic naan. We really enjoyed our experience here and can’t wait to come back!

I recommended this place for a small group dinner based on it’s Unilocal reviews. The place is quite small, so I would not recommend this place for groups larger than 4 people. Service was quick and the food was delivered fairly quickly once we ordered. My only complaint with the service was that we had ordered a tea, however, that took significant time to reach our table. We didn’t get the tea until we had already finished our appetizers.
The quality of the food was good! We ordered Garlic Naan, Mushroom Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Khadai and a Lamb Biryani. The Garlic Naan was a little crunchy/​flaky, but other than that the food was good! While I would not go out of my way to dine here again, I would very much be interested in a take out option if available.
