I love the food… the only problem I had on 7−31−14 is that either Maria the server or the guy at the cash register forgot bring me my tostada mixta, which really broke my heart because I love to eat this on friday. I waited over an hour til I realized they weren’t going to bring it. Then i showed maria the receipt and asked for a refund because it got late. She seemed to be doubtful… so I asked to call her staff to ask if they made it. Ashamed, she immediately refunded me and did not even say sorry. Did this happen to me only… because I do not wish this upon anyone else. We all work hard just to enjoy our time out. Hopefully guadalajara management works hard so this doesn’t ever happen to anybody else.

I loved coming here for the tortas ahogadas that are traditional of Guadalajara. This location has been shut down though. Now the nearest one is located on 4th St in Santa Ana.

i dont know how im the duchess of this place. people must not ever check in. To be honest, i dont really like it all that much… the tortas are good. but the cabeza tacos(which are usually my favorite) leave much to be desired. when i go i order an asada torta and im satisfied. im sure the asada tacos would be good too, but all ive had are the cabeza and they werent good… and i was drunk.

This is the best Mexican breakfasts you’ll be able to find, Great service as well. My new spot. My wife loved it as well, awesome salsa bar.

The food was very mediocre. I went there, at noon, on a weekday, for lunch. There was only 1 other customer there when I arrived, and I as the only customer when I left. After I ate, I understood why. I got a wet burrito. It wasn’t inedible, but I wouldn’t go there again. From now on, when the place is empty, there’s a reason, and I will look elsewhere for my meal.

This place is one of the best places to get real mexican food. They are open 24 hours 7 days a week. So far I’ve had the shrimp taco plate and that is the best shrimp taco I’ve honestly ever had. They even have the mexican fruit drinks with the chili stick in it. If your looking for something real, fairly priced, and made with quality. Then this is the place to go!

I personally think this is the most authentic taco place in OC. I only tried 2 tacos here so I cannot give the full detailed review this time. But two tacos that I tried, asada and pastor, were superb. El pastor was the best I had. I really liked how they toast their tortilla. I’m definitely coming back.

I have been coming here since I was a child and I love it. I recently went there with my friend and I encouraged her to get a buche taco. She loved it!!! This place is very authentic and all their tacos are really good. I usually like to cruise to proof on a night out and then come here. It does not get any better. Hands down best tacos in Santa Ana. Forget El Gallo Giro.

I thought this place was named Go-A-Dalajara from the glance of the phone photo, I took? Maybe I was seeing things, but this place kept myself and the rest of our company full after a short break from drinking at Proof Bar, some odd months ago. As already stated with everyone else who tried this place, it’s open 24 hours a day, and their deals on cheap but decent Mexican Food can’t be beat. I think one of their deals was tacos, fries, and a drink all costing $ 11.99. Which isn’t too bad considering, that combo alone got you and probably 3 other people full(unless you’re accompanied with real foodies/eaters) then you gotta buy the meal 3x, to sustain everyone. Overall, it was an ok spot, pretty sanitary and customer service was fine. They provided free refills, and everyone else who I went to this place with enjoyed it. Perhaps, I’m not accustomed with these kind of tacos so I need to try more places to get a better feel for what my palette yearns for.

we were starved after checking out the terra cotta warrior exhibit at the bowers. so we took a trip into downtown santa ana for some eats. initially, we were set on going to memphis for some gumbo and corn bread. but we changed our minds when we stumbled upon a very packed taquerias guadalajara. packed with locals. worth a shot? for sure. i’m a fan of eating where the locals eat. so we walked in checked out the overwhelming menu and then looked around at the other tables. tacos, tacos, albondigas and tortas, a burrito, one very large fried fish, a few more tacos, and did i mention, tacos?. so we ordered a few tacos: 2x carne asade, 4x carnitas, pollo, cocteles camarones, a bohemia and a chivachamango(i had noticed several people outside with these and the window cling on the front window made this look really interesting.) total bill $ 30. the tacos were fantastic. i think our fave were the smokiness of the carnitas. trisha also really enjoyed the sweetness of the camarones as well. and the chivachamango? unreal. so good. this icy concoction consists of: a scoop of shaved ice, a few scoops of chilli/chimayo powder and sugar, a scoop each of pulpo de mango, a healthy scoop of freshly cut mango cubes, and topped with a tamarind/chilli encrusted straw wide enough to suck thru the mango chunks. as bizarre as this may sound, it was refreshingly tasty. a nice icy, sweet, savory and spicy treat that kept us cool as we walked around town. i’m glad we found this place, we’d go back the next time we find ourselves in downtown santa ana.

I don’t even know how to begin this review. It all happened AFTER we left Proof, my friend and I. He was hungry for tacos… me, not so much. My stomach was still a bit queasy from the alcohol even though the Whopper Junior helped. I just wasn’t sure I wanted to eat some greasy tacos. However, I complied because my friend was hungry. Although he was pretty much«alcoholified», he was still able to direct me to this place, this 24 hr joint. Along the way, I pointed out several 24 hr joints but he was insistent that he wanted to come here — why? I have no clue. The place was a hole-in-the-wall for sure. Kinda dumpy, but it was cool. The selling point is that it NEVER closes. My friend asked me how many tacos I wanted. I said NONE. He told me he was ordering the combo and that I had to have one. I said fine. This was … until I saw what the combo consisted of: 10 tacos(asada or pastor) Frijoles Arroz Chips Drink WHOA!!! That’s more than what my whole family can eat. I reminded my friend that I was eating 1 taco. ONE!!! He said it was fine, he can take the rest home. As we settled into a booth, the two of us were feeling the effects of Proof. We were silent for a while and then our order was ready. God damn! It was a lot of food(look at pic). I was not in the mood to eat but I picked up an al pastor taco, put some cilantro and onions on it, some salsa and dug in. Bleh. It was just bleh. The meat was chewy and not like those I like from Tacolandia 2. I ate one like I said and just sat back as I watched my friend eat 5 tacos. He paused for a few minutes and I asked him if I should get him a box to take the rest home. He shook his head. At that time of night, he was very quiet, a man of few words, but his actions spoke louder as he picked up his 6th taco and started chomping down on it. I was speechless as I watch him devour all 9 tacos. I exclaimed«WOW I’M IMPRESSEDDUDE!» He kept apologizing for the fact that I had to watch the grossness that is eating all 9 tacos. Hey, it was fine. I wasn’t the one who had to eat it, I was just a mere bystander. I’m glad he didn’t throw up in my car! I got him home safely and couldn’t wait to get home myself and crawl into bed. 2 stars for the food 1 star for never closing! I don’t think I’m coming here again after a night at Proof. There HAS to be something better.

Taquerias Guadalajara has been satisfying my late night taco craving for the past couple of nights. For a non-Los Angeles taco place, its pretty tasty. I came here last night after drinking and bowling and had the carne asada tacos. The meat was a little on the dry side, but had lots of flavor to it. The horchata here is also pretty good… rich and creamy as if they added milk to it. While not the best tacos in the OC area, the fact that they’re open 24 hours and that they’re cheap(1.39/taco) is awesome.

I came back here a second time and probably would’ve given it 3 stars. I don’t expect the cashiers to speak english, but I made it about as clear as possible what I wanted. «Veggie burrito?»(thats what it said on the receipt last time) «ah, carne asada?» «No, no carne. Vegetariano» «si, carne asada» «No, no carne. Burrito vegetariano. Veggie burrito. Sin carne?» «ahhh…no entiendo. ahh pollo?» Finally a cook comes over, presses one button, it flashes«Veggie burrito» on the screen/receipt and off we go. Got the large coke this time, which was $ 0.10 more for 4 times the size. The carrots SUCKED this time! No spice to them at all. Just some plain jane soggy onion-soaked carrots. The burrito was flat and not all that great, either. I mean better than any other chain restaurant’s burrito, but not nearly as good as the first time. No rice, loaded up with guacamole(vs the avocado slices last time), not much cheese, I don’t remember there being lettuce/tomato. Knockin a star off for inconsistency.
