Town & Country Manor

My mother had a lengthy stay in this beautiful facility. The staff was fabulous and always willing to go above and beyond for our family. Lori Bond the Administrator is highly professional and truely cares about her clients and staff. Mike and Teodora in social services went to great lengths to make sure we had the proper education and training we needed prior to discharge. The entire team including nursing and therapy were fantastic. Thank you for all you did.

Let me start by saying that my mom’s nurse Helen and Joey seemed to be the only two staff members that cared about the patients and their families. With that said, on the surface it all looks good, clean and neat, smells fresh. But!, then if you spend time there with your loved one you see that the CNAs act like they are overworked. Could be I don’t know what the standard is. But waiting for 20 mins. For a bed pan then being told they need to get help then taking another 10 mins. Is unacceptable. They have the attitude that because the patient is wearing a diaper its OK. Well these patients also want and need their dignity using a diaper is not part of that program the diaper is for accidents. That’s just one of the issues with the CNAs. Now for the Dr. He diagnosed pneumonia prescribed antibiotics for it. 3 days later when I asked how it was because there seemed to be little improvement he said I don’t know I haven’t checked that. We don’t know that she really had pneumonia but we prescribed antibiotics for it. Well the next day she was taken to the ER because she was having trouble breathing and some pain. Well now she has pneumonia in both lungs. What a surprise. Next we are told if the patient is going to be gone more than 24 hrs we need to pick up their belongings. The next morning when her caregiver went to pick up her belongings, her toiletries that had been in the night stand where gone some of them new and still in the bag. All of her clothes were there but not the toiletries. We also found that her hand knitted blanket, a gift from a friend was also missing. When this was brought to the supervisions attention they looked in all the areas where the items might be stored for the patient, but could not find them. This place is terrible except for a few that seem to care. Someone in this place stole my mother’s toiletries and a treasured blanket. Maybe the people responsible think the patients are just old and won’t realize what is missing and maybe in some cases that is true, but it is reprehensible that anyone would steal from these patients. My mother will not return there we have found another facility for her.
The administration told us they have written a theft report and are going to write us a check for $ 30. Big deal. It’s not the money. It’s the fact that we trusted our family member would be safe and cared for here not a victim. I wonder how many patients have been stolen from and don’t even know it. Town and Country Manor you have a theft problem among other issues. I hope you get it fixed.

My mom had a Total knee replace my and they did a great a job and took care of her. She was at the facility for over a month and the staff was great. Place is clean!!! I would totally recommend this place.

Great independent living facility. The apartments are clean and spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful. Moving my dad into independent living was a tough decision but this facility has all the amenities to make him happy and also to gives me piece of mind. He has the freedom to live like he is used to but everything is taken care of like his meals, food he needs, laundry, cleaning service and any maintenance needs he has in his apartment. They have a nursing staff and any assisantece he made need in case of an emergency. Added bonus… just around the corner from St. Joseph Hospital.
I highly recommend this facility.

Town & Country Manor has, by far, the cleanest skilled nursing facility I have ever been to.
The staff here are extremely kind, compassionate, and helpful.

It is sad when a person is lead to believe that the place that you want to send your loved one too is far from wonderful! This skilled nursing center is the most unprofessional facility and should be shut down! Its beautiful inside and out, but you are refused care from the start base on if it is convenient for them. With approval in hand and insurance paying for the entire stay, this facility denies patient care because they don’t want to deal with long term patients without even giving them an opportunity. Consider this place as snobs and they turn their noses to families cries for help! It was an awful experience dealing with this staff and GOD forbid if the Direct of Nurses ever calls you back, because she is in an eternal meeting!!! We were also told from certain doctors after the fact, that this place does not care about the families concerns. Would not recommend this place to our worse enemy!
