I’ve been calling for two weeks now with no answer, left a vm with no call back, sent a message through Unilocal and no response. I’m not the only one, check the reviews removed by a Unilocal.I really really wanted to try this place since it’s local, but I guess they don’t need any business.

Tweena is very sweet and she works great with my four soon to be five year old. The location is awesome if you like the artsie city life of dtsa. I’m so happy I found her on Unilocal

Wow, I’m so glad we found Tweena!
We wanted our 5 year-​old to begin piano lessons. We checked with our neighbors and friends and explored a couple of options. Most were ladies offering lessons in their homes. They had excellent reviews. But my wife talked to Teeena, and she offered a complimentary lesson.
Heck yeah. My wife had a ‘feeling’ about Tweena.
Tweena’s studio is on the second floor of the historic Santora Building in DTSA. The building is beautiful, and Tweena’s space in the southwest corner fronts Broadway and the arts plaza with Lola Gaspar, the Gypsy Den and the CSUF art space. The ceilings are maybe 20 feet high. Beautiful oak flooring. Nicely decorated.
There is an ample reception room with a couch for waiting. One studio is smaller, while the large practice space is probably 400 square feet, with a grand piano and electric, as well. That’s where our daughter takes her lessons. I love going in there. It is like going back in time.
We knew this was the place for our daughter following that first lesson. My wife’s ‘feeling’ totally validated. Tweena is young, and she knows how to interact with kids, while commanding their attention and respect. Our daughter loves her lessons, and she is learning quickly, so quickly that we are struggling to keep up with her!
Tweena also gave us some excellent advice about whether to buy a baby grand or an electronic piano.
I can’t recommend Tweena highly enough. She is all we could have wished for as a piano teacher for our daughter. Plus, you are in DTSA with all the food opportunities to experience!

So excited about Tweena’s Tunes. I have a little one that I am excited to teach drums to (I am drummer myself) but know a fantastic base that will translate to many other instruments is piano.

When I first walked into Tweena’s Tunes, I couldn’t help thinking to myself «What a perfect place for a music school». The location is absolutely captivating with it’s antique décor… going perfectly well with the grand piano against the back drops of the large windows in a corner view of the studio. Not only is the studio beautiful but Tweena herself is wonderful! She’s very patient and positive with her technique of teaching her students. With her warm smile she makes you feel welcomed at every lesson. I’m not the average young student but have always wanted to learn how to play the piano and she made me feel comfortable and confident knowing that its never to late to learn. Thank you Tweena!!!

Everyone told me a 4 year old couldn’t learn to play the piano… then I met Tweena. She took the challenge and exceeded it. With her background in education and years of teaching piano she is the perfect piano teacher. It has been an enjoyable experience for us.

Inside the Santora Arts Building. We got to meet Tweena the Owner on the 1^st Sat of March. She along with family and friends were setting up to rock. She was extremely nice.
They had a bunch of goodies all laid out. Including delicious handmade chocolate in the shape of musical notes. For the grand opening she was giving free 30 min piano lessons to children for the following week.
Right away she called to set up a time. Hopefully my 2 year old neice will be able to take advantage of this offer.
Unfortuantley we didn’t get to hear her play since they were still in the process of getting ready. But on ambiance for a youngster to feel comfy and on the personality of Tweena it looks like a good place to bring your kids.
