Sophie is one of the best individuals I know, period. She combines a super positive personality with the professionalism you want by your side on that very important moment in your life.
She will deliver a world class event while being budget conscious. Having Sophie organizing our wedding was a true blessing. She is friends with virtually all the people at the venues in the Santa Barbara area which meant we always got the VIP treatment (and the best deals) from every vendor. Sophie made the entire planning process a completely joyful experience. Her efforts culminated in a ceremony that was, to put simply, exquisite.
Sophie gave us peace of mind; but much more importantly, she took our ideas and elevated them to artistic concepts; and then she ensured that these concepts were executed to perfection. We quite simply wouldn’t have been able to create such a memorable day without her. In terms of the planning and organizational skills: Sophie will guide you in regards to where to emphasize and where to cut; and she therefore will maximize the amount you plan to invest. We were very lucky to have her. Beyond event-​planning, perhaps her best assets are her sense of humor and her infinite patience (we would call her at any time and she never minded. As a matter of fact, she enjoyed and encouraged it). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Sophie was the perfect planner for our daughter’s wedding at The Biltmore. From our first telephone conversation, I felt comfortable and reassured that we were in good hands – and she didn’t disappoint. Sophie has a fun, relaxed, energetic style that fit our approach – she got the details covered and took care of business without adding any element of stress or anxiety. My husband and I spoke to several wedding planners on the phone when looking for someone to help us with our special day at San Ysidro Ranch. After talking with Sophie, we instantly knew she was right for us; she was professional, clear, direct and to the point which is exactly what we needed – someone to help us navigate logistics and timelines, find vendors and advise on budgets. Each meeting was productive and efficient, just what we needed to plan from NYC where we live.
She even had great suggestions for us for our rehearsal drinks and day after brunch and we valued her input on everything tremendously. Sophie was also very responsive on email and we felt like we could bounce any question off her which helped us relax knowing that everything was under control leading up to the day.
On the day of the wedding she was a star, she kept everything running so smoothly, we didn’t have to do a thing! From start to finish we really felt like Sophie went above and beyond. Of all the money we spent during the process of getting married I genuinely think Amazing Days Events was one of one of the best deals, she is worth every penny and I’d recommend her to anyone. Thank you Sophie, we are still basking in the glow of all the special moments on our wedding day.

Sophie is unique in the world of wedding planning. She has an unpretentious, uplifting, energetic spirit that is refreshing for the wedding talent and vendors that work with her. She will give her couples guidance in choosing their vendors/​wedding talent. And then give us space to be creative. Couples love her, and appreciate her keeping them on track to creating a memorable wedding and a reception that is a blast. I’m always delighted to work with Sophie.

For brides and grooms that work in events, finding the right coordinator can be a huge challenge. At first you think, «I can totally do this on my own» and then after two months of drowning in Pinterest boards you realize that you might need some help. In my mind I pictured a wedding coordinator as a) someone who only told you what you wanted to hear. «Yes, purple and red crushed velvet would be perfect!» or b) someone who didn’t offer any flexibility. «That’s a nice idea, but here’s what we are going to do.» … Sophie was the perfect mix of both. Someone who would both bring you back to reality and make your ideas come to life. Just what we needed.
Since my (now) husband and I were planning our wedding from Boston, we did much of our planning over the phone and via email. As soon as we jumped on our first call we were immediately at ease. It was clear that Sophie was a pro and that we were in good hands. Throughout the rest of the planning process Sophie was extremely organized and kept all of our vendors on the same page (and admittedly kept us from getting too distracted by work and life — a little kick in the butt every now and again was much needed — ha).
I had a small amount of fear that I would be distracted on the big day, thinking about flowers, catering, and linens. But it was just the opposite. On our wedding day, Sophie handled all of the logistics wonderfully. We were able to enjoy every moment of our day knowing that Sophie was overseeing it all. By the end of the night, we felt like we had made a great friend. We just can’t thank her enough.
If you brides and grooms-​to-​be are looking for the best of the best, you have found it! Get that contract in stat!

Brides, you need Sophie. I initially did not think I needed to hire a wedding coordinator but was forced to by my wedding venue. I am so incredibly grateful my wedding venue did because it lead me to Sophie. She was fantastic and because of her my entire wedding day, from start to finish (literally), was perfect! She was fun, professional, blunt and honest (loved her for this!), experienced, and simply just took care of things when needed. I highly, highly recommend Sophie!

This is one review I am more than happy to write. I am type A, organized, and manage projects for a living so you can imagine I would not trust just anyone to coordinate my wedding. Sophie was a perfect fit for me, my mom and fiancé. I completely trusted that my wedding was in good hands on the day of our wedding. I didn’t spend 2 minutes thinking about logistics or details and that was the whole point. Also she is an incredible price point for her responsiveness and knowledge base. I never waited more than 24 hours to receive a comprehensive response to any questions or new developments. Sophie is an experienced coordinator who has a lot of experience. If you ask her opinion she will give you an honest answer based on her experience. She knows what she is doing and can provide suggestions for how to achieve what you want while run smoothly. I found this incredibly valuable and trustworthy. She didn’t steer me wrong once. Sophie immediately struck me as slightly different that many of the other coordinators and planners I spoke with in the wedding industry who are just super peppy and focused on making everything pretty. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted it pretty but I also wanted to avoid disasters. That’s why I loved Sophie, she got everything done! She was highly responsive, organized, and totally on top of everything from the minute we hired her several months prior to our wedding. Not to mention she is awesome, fun, very friendly and great to work with. All of our family and guests said she was a true pleasure. She handled our slightly crazy bridal party wonderfully during the rehearsal and when Sophie spoke, people listened so the ceremony went off without a hitch! Our day was not flawless (no weddings are) but it appeared that way to both us and all of our guests. The event was incredible and perfect thanks to Sophie. Mission accomplished! Sophie is truly amazing! My fiancé and I hired Sophie since we live in NYC and were getting married in Santa Barbara… and we only visited a couple of times before! We knew that we needed some help :)
In came Sophie! She is a woman who has her stuff together! She helped us build a timeline and focus on things that we needed to get done in preparation for our big day, and made us feel super comfortable and secure that we weren’t missing anything and made all of our deadlines. We also ended up working with almost all of the vendors that Sophie recommended and they were awesome. She also made a few design suggestions that turned out really beautifully!
We had our ceremony at Elings Park and the reception at The Granada Theatre (both Sophie recommendations!)… definitely look into both of those venues if you haven’t already, brides — these venues both exceeded our expectations in every way! Everyone told us that we shouldn’t worry about the «little things that go wrong,» but our wedding day went by without a single hitch! Literally, everything was totally smooth, and Sophie helped organize all of our vendors (we had A LOT) and managed the timeline of the day incredibly well. I had absolutely nothing to worry about, other than having a good time and spending time with guests!
Sophie has a great energy, is really fun to work with, and genuinely cares about making your wedding day exactly what you hope it would be. I enjoyed working with her so much, and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a planner or coordinator.

I hired Sophie to be the month of coordinator for my August wedding, and it was the best decision I made. She is seriously amazing. I got married at Elings Park in Santa Barbara, and if you haven’t looked into that venue — DO IT! It is gorgeous! — but more importantly, it is a challenging venue to plan a wedding at in that you need to bring in everything and hire a different vendor for each part of the wedding. For our wedding, we had 10 different vendors showing up that day who all needed to be coordinated with and kept on schedule throughout the event. Sophie handled it all flawlessly and made sure that my only job on the wedding day was to have a blast! I honestly did not worry about a single thing the day of the wedding because I knew she was there and was handling everything in the background.
Prior to the wedding she was very communicative and provided great suggestions for vendors and ideas. I was looking specifically for a bluegrass band to play during the ceremony, and when we were having trouble locking one down, she reached out to some of her contacts and found us an amazing group to play that day. She also met us up at the venue a month or so before the wedding and helped us nail down all the remaining timing and set up details for the day, and when we got stuck on a decision, she offered great suggestions. I feel like she was a crucial part of how everything came together in the end.
Her personality is also very refreshing! She is very down to earth and fun, but when she needs to take control of a situation, she has no problem doing so. We had a lot of different personalities and cooks in the kitchen with our wedding, and she related very well with everyone and juggled everything we threw at her. She has also worked with most of the vendors in the area, and every vendor we hired said they loved working with her and how seamless everything feels when she’s involved.
I feel like everyone who is getting married needs someone like Sophie in their corner! She is truly amazing at what she does and she’s so easy to work with as well. I can’t recommend her enough.

It is with pleasure that I write this review on behalf of Sophie! Took me 57 years to finally go down this road and «tie the knot»! My fiancé Analiza and I found Sophie through the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel (where we got married). Since we were in need of a wedding planner and we live in LA, we wanted someone that knew Santa Barbara well, and that could also find us all the best vendors.
We started planning for a July 21 wedding back in early February, and Sophie was quite a pleasure to work with… from way back then, up until the final 4 – 6 weeks, she kept in regular communication with us, to be certain we were getting everything handled to our complete satisfaction. She did all the legwork and made it very simple for us. One thing that really stood out was when we approached the 1-​week mark, Anna seemed to get a bit «anxious» and nervous about something possibly going wrong. I communicated this to Sophie and she was so concerned, that she made it a point for us all to have a conference call and remove any anxiety whatsoever that she may have had!
She even met us for a rehearsal the day before at the Four Seasons and reviewed details with my brother (a judge) who officiated the ceremony. My brother and Sophie really jived well, because ours was a far less conventional style wedding, it was more intimate and unique in many ways, which is what we wanted.
Sophie did keep us both involved to be sure we were getting EXACTLY what we desired, from the ceremony itself (the seating arrangement, the music, everything)…to the cocktail hour and finally, the reception, the seating, the food, the flowers, the mantle settings, the toasts, just every detail.
Also, Sophie referred us to the most INCREDIBLE photographers Maddie and Felicia (I Heart My Groom), who also made the entire experience just amazing! The Engagement photos taken on the train tracks, and on the beach were extraordinary! And of course the ceremony and reception itself.
Lastly, Sophie arranged for a 1938 Rolls Royce (and driver of course) to pick Anna and I up in front of the Four Seasons for some really great shots!
Sophie is an EXTRAORDINARY wedding planner/​coordinater and I simply cannot say enough great things about her, other than to please hire her. She truly cares that all goes smoothly and perfectly. You will be thrilled with her and will enjoy the most amazing experience and day of your life! Cheers to Sophie!

Sophie was everything I hoped a wedding coordinator would be. She was extremely available, had great tips and connections and made our wedding day run smoothly so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Her energy and efficiency gave us the confidence that everything would look beautiful (despite all of our flowers wilting enroute to our venue). She’s the best!

Sophie was the most amazing event coordinator-​hence the name of her business. ;) We had fun throughout the entire planning process, she was responsive to all our questions, and she took care of every detail the day of the wedding. I have an insane type A personality and even I was relaxed the entire day. Everything was on time and went smoothly. She connected us with all of our vendors and we loved them all! She is a lovely person to work with and I highly recommend her for your amazing day!

Sophie handled our wedding day perfectly. We hired her as a day of coordinator. She was detailed oriented but gave us the space to do our own thing. We had an Indian ceremony and my family can be quite needy. As a bride, I didn’t have to answer a single question at the ceremony and reception. If there was a problem, I didn’t hear about it. Everything went smoothly and perfectly for our day! Professional and very comforting!

I hired Sophie for day of coordination of my wedding this past month. She was better than I ever imagined and made my day AMAZING, pun intended. Even though I hired her for just the day of, I had 2 meetings with her beforehand and could email her with any question/​concern as much as I wanted. She was open to all of my ideas without judgement, including a unicorn carriage on State Street!
Her personality is very easy going and relaxed, yet she is super assertive and gets things done. I freaked out a little because the guests were walking to the ceremony right by where we were taking pictures, so I ran and told her and her response was «ok, well let’s move you» and I realized there’s now reason to freak out, there’s a simple solution. She even thinks of the little things that you’d never think of. For example, she requested the guests not take a bunch of videos and pictures during the ceremony because the bride and groom wanted to see their faces, and not the back of their cameras. I would have never thought of asking for that, but I’m SO glad she said that because there were times during the ceremony I looked out into the crowd and loved being able to see the faces of some of the guests.
I highly recommend Sophie as a wedding coordinator for your big day.

Sophie was just spectacular! She handled every detail and was always available by phone or email weeks prior to the wedding. Our son’s wedding went flawless thanks to Sophie.

Sophie is the best! We truly feel that our wedding day was one of the best days in our lives largely due to Sophie! She was there every step of the way. She offered great advice and guidance through the whole process. She has an amazing work ethic and always has such a positive attitude. The actual wedding day couldn’t have happened without her. Sophie made sure everything went smoothly and our large wedding party kept saying amazing things about her! We couldn’t thank Sophie enough!

We hired Sophie as our week-​of-​coordinator. My husband and I were very casual in our approach to getting married and didn’t want a lot of wedding drama or the typical wedding traditions. I chose Sophie because she seemed really laid back on the phone during our consult but I could also tell she was very organized and professional. I only met Sophie once in person before our wedding, so I was nervous that she would really know how we wanted the wedding to look and feel. Sophie and I had had differing opinions on some things during the planning, and she always respected my opinions which I appreciated. On our wedding day, if there were any glitches, we had no idea. The wedding went smoothly and beautifully and it was absolutely perfect. All in all, we simply could not have pulled it off without her.

USE AMAZING DAY EVENTS!!! Sophie is amazing.
She works incredibly hard before the event and during the event. We got married in September at the Mission and Rockwood, the Women’s Club, and she was a lifesaver. She provided lots of great venue and vendor recommendations and was just fabulous. During the wedding she was everywhere when we needed her yet she seemed to always be behind the scenes. Even our guests commented on how great she was. I swear by how on top of things she was throughout the whole process and what she knows needed to get done. The pre-​meetings were so helpful and put us at ease after each time we met with her. She gave us so much to think about and always was honest and straight to the point. She also helped us save money when we could. She understood family dynamics and was just so PERFECT.
I don’t know how anyone gets married without Sophie, her recommendations and expertise are invaluable. Everyone needs a Sophie!
