Our experienced and dedicated team will work with you step by step to coordinate whatever it takes to achieve the vision of your dream day!

We offer fabulous food using only locally grown produce, arrange full staffing, event rentals and full coordination to include venue selection and vendor assistance.

History

Established in 1995.

Catering Connection is Chef Owned and Operated by founder Ursula O’Neill. Ursula’s culinary career began in Ireland and London, where she worked the gamut from Pastry Chef to Chef de Cuisine. Her experience ranges from events for 3000 at exclusive London Park Lane hotels to preparing an intimate dinner for Ronald and Nancy Reagan and their guest Margaret Thatcher at the Reagan Ranch right here in Santa Barbara.

The goal of Catering Connection is to combine honesty and integrity with a level of personalized service that exceeds all expectations.

Philippe is phenomenal! I requested quotes and communicated with various catering companies but when I talked with Philippe I just knew that he would be the man for the job. He did not disappoint. He is very professional and he knows what he’s doing, I trusted him very much throughout the planning process.
As a caterer he went above and beyond, he went with us to pick out rentals and decide on colors and place settings, decide on our table layout, and he gave his professional opinion when asked. He met with us countless times and was super fast at responding to emails and questions.
The day before the wedding Philippe and his team helped set up the venue and the day of they helped our coordinator set up the last minute details.
Philippe and his entire staff made the planning process a breeze and all of our guests RAVED about how good the food was.
You will be severely missing out if you do not choose catering connection for your wedding or next event!

We rent out our auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and there was a company having their Holiday Party last Saturday. Due to an electric pole being knocked down in the middle of the night the evening before, all electricity was out. Catering Connection along with SMI Concepts were on top of it from the beginning, bringing in power and working in the dark for hours setting up and making sure the customer had a great evening (of course the electricity came on ½ hour after the party started.) Without Catering Connection’s support and heroic efforts to make it happen, the party could not have gone on. Plus the food was a hit, the set up and breakdown smooth. I’ve never seen the auditorium as clean after and event. I highly recommend Catering Connection for all your events.

Ok food. Ok bartendeing. Horrible management. I have never been treated like a such a 2nd class citizen. The servers were great. Unfortunately the management did there best to embarrass me because THEY made a mistake with my order. Sorry guys, I’m not ok with food allergies you want to force me too eat.

The staff and bartenders were phenominal… but…the management was downright RUDE! I tried to politely ask the head waitress, manager, and catering coardinater that my order was incorrect and they proceeded to purposely try to. humilate me in front of the wedding party. «I’m sorry sir, would you like a few more drinks to help make up your mind»?
I’m personally not a drinker but apparently the normal clientele they deal with is?
After working in the industry for over 4 years I would never recommend this company (except their waiters/​waitresses and bartenders) to anyone.

Wow! Catering Connection was marvelous! Philippe was so easy to work with. He was very responsive to me and really helped to make my daughters wedding affordable. I really appreciated his flexibility to work with the budget to get it down to an affordable number.
The staff was very professional and friendly. They all seemed very happy, like they were having a good time too! They worked quietly and efficiently and really took care of everything. The bar tenders were very friendly and easy going even when they were very busy pouring. Philippe was so easy to work with on the day of the event. He was aware of everything and in control, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the night. Thank you!
The food was so delicious and plentiful! We had so much feed back from our guests that the food was spectacular! They set up our dessert table beautifully!

We highly recommend Catering Connection and Philippe Berger for catering your wedding or any other catered event. For our tasting Philippe created a delicious interpretation of what we wanted our menu to be. and the night of our wedding delivered the best catered meal and best service we’ve ever had at a private event or restaurant. He and his staff were flawless.
We looked at several caterers and sampled food at two. From the first minute we sat down in Catering Connection for our tasting we knew we were in for something special. And while some caterers give you good food for the tasting and cheap-​out at the event, every bite of food at our wedding was as good as or better than the food at our tasting.
Day-​of the wedding Catering Connection could not have been more on top of our needs. During the (seemingly) never ending post-​wedding photos they kept bringing us appetizers and cooling beverages, which were just what we needed.
During the reception we felt like Philippe’s Catering Connection crew were almost psychic. Whenever we were thinking, «I would like this», or «so-​and-​so looks like they need that» there was a polite server at our arm saying, «can I get you something?»
We have hired caterers for work events at our Santa Barbara-​based companies, but Catering Connection is better than anybody else we’ve seen in town. Thanks Philippe & Catering Connection!

Philippe Berger is amazing.
The second I walked into Catering Connections, I knew I had found my caterer! Philippe is the most helpful person on earth if you are planning a Santa Barbara wedding. He knows the business and is almost more of a coordinator than simply a caterer. I was from out of town and planning our wedding remotely and Philippe was there to answer every question about anything.
The food is AMAZING! After our tasting (which is a very enjoyable experience in itself), I didn’t have one complaint or change to be made to the wedding menu. Philippe then drove with me down to Ventura to look at rentals. He made suggestions for what I would need and added nothing to the list that I wouldn’t.
The day of the wedding, he was on top of things! I was so calm and stress-​free the day of the wedding because I knew Philippe had everything under control. Our guests raved a bout the food! He makes you feel like he has known you forever and it is clear he really wants the best for you.
You need to just hire this guy!

Ursula and crew have been providing our Masonic Lodge meals monthly for over two years. Their wide variety and care to detail have made many nights a special occasion. If you want a special recommendation I suggest the braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. Love it! Definitely 5 star.

I hired Catering Connection for my wedding at the Lavender Inn this past November. I truly cannot say enough good things about the food and Philippe Berger.
I contacted several other caterers while I was planning my wedding, and none we are as nice and accommodating as Philippe was. We scheduled our tasting and were blown away at how delicious the food was. Once we left, my fiancé and I knew that Catering Connection was the right fit for us.
Philippe was the nicest wedding vendor we encountered (we encountered some truly awful people as we were planning our wedding). He was so patient and so helpful every step of the way. He always responded quickly to my emails with impeccable detail. He tailed our menu precisely to our taste and budget. We really couldn’t believe how flexible Philippe was with us. We immediately felt comfortable with him and knew that we were in good hands. The day of our wedding, the services he and his staff performed were phenomenal. They set up our tables, our centerpieces, and the table looked absolutely gorgeous — Thank you, Philippe!!!
As for the food, our guests could not stop raving about the food. The food was DIVINE. My husband and I were upset we didn’t get to eat more.
All in all, I promise you will not be disappointed with Catering Connection. We will definitely hire them again for our next big event.

We love Catering Connection! My husband and I used them for our wedding and were absolutely blown away by the level of service we received. Philippe did an amazing job putting together a proposal that fit our needs and budget (we got so much more for our money with them than with any other caterer in the area). He not only served as a caterer, but as a manager of the whole event, helping by making recommendations on other vendors and coming with us to help choose our rentals. When it came around to the big day, Philippe and the staff took care of EVERYTHING. We sat back and enjoyed the night while they took care of our guests with their great food and phenomenal service. I would highly recommend them for any event!

I love the Catering Connection! I have used them for several different events at our corporate location in Goleta & simply cannot recommend them more highly. They have an extensive menu to choose from for all occasions, and if they don’t have it on the menu and you want it, Philippe & Ursula will probably make it for you. They have worked with me on a very short notice as well as a longer lead time and simply NOTHING suffered in the challenge of a quickly planned event. They are stars.
I have had them cater several lunch time staff meetings. Sandwich selection is great, quality is yummy, and portions are abundant. We have some picky eaters and lots of different dietary challenges (vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, vegetarian) and Philippe always works with me to make sure there is something to please everyone. Delivery is always prompt (usually very early!) and setup/​utensils/​serving pieces/​etc. are all great. Pickup equally prompt and unobtrusive in our busy office.
Philippe worked with me one year to do a special holiday themed buffet for a staff lunch and everything was just great. We have used Catering Connection for an employee 35-​year recognition event, and an employee farewell party and both were wonderful successes. They can do it all, from appetizers to desserts, and everything is just terrific.
We recently used someone else to cater an event (organized by someone other than me…) and I can honestly say that while the food was good, the portions were really skimpy for the same price. I will definitely go back to Catering Connection and kicjk myself for not insisting that we use them for that event.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Catering Connection from start to finish.
I was the Event Planner and Maid of Honor for my sister’s 150-​person wedding and the double-​duty responsibilities would have been significantly more stressful were it not for the folks from Catering Connection. Philippe was professional and thorough from the first time we were in touch, through the tasting, working with the rental company and taking into consideration my sister’s specific requests. Ursula was our on-​site and could not have been more fantastic to work with. The staff was awesome, mature and detail oriented. It felt like a high-​end restaurant had descended upon our outdoor garden wedding. We have gotten endless compliments on how delicious the food was. Absolutely perfect.
Philippe and Ursula’s wonderful support and responsiveness allowed me to to enjoy this very special day for my family. Thank you so much for everything!

I am in love with their food. They just started a delivery service for lunchtime and deliver meals to your office.
There is no minimum purchase, delivery and tax are included in their price. And the food is UNBELEIVABLE. It is so good. Make sure to ask for extra dressing with the salads since they don’t always give enough dressing for their generous-​sized salads.
I just send them an email and they deliver it to the front of my office or even bring it to my desk if the receptionist is at lunch (they know where my desk is now since I order almost every day). You can pay with cash, check or paypal (I love the paypal option).
For example, today I got caught on the phone at 12:15 and couldn’t get off the phone call until almost 4pm. I emailed my lunch order around 1pm and had my sandwich ready to eat on my desk by 1:20pm. Too bad the call lasted so long. The sandwich was still delicious. The entrée’s can be pricey sometimes, but remember that delivery is included and they don’t try to rip you off by marking up all the sides and extras ($ 1 sodas, bread roll & butter $ 0.75, chips $ 0.75 etc). Their napkins also are kind of crappy but who cares when the food is so good! The quiche is ok, better than some places but nothing like Fresco’s quiche.
Favorites: Southwestern Tri-​tip sandwich and BBQ chicken salad — never miss their Chili when its on the weekly special!
