History

Established in 1993.

Christine Dahl Chef/​Owner has been doing wedding cakes for over 20 years. Published in many magazines. (In Style/​Bön Appetit/​The Knott/​Modern Bride/​Grace Ormond/​and many more) Everything made from scratch. making them beautiful and tasty. Former Four Seasons Hotels Pastry chef, as well as worked in many fine restaurants in the Santa Barbara Area.

Business Owner

Christine Dahl is the gifted pastry chef/​owner of Christine Dahl Pastries. As she was growing up in Wisconsin, Christine’s mother baked for the family every day. Christine began baking at her mother’s side at age 6 — and never stopped! This passion for baking led her to attend culinary school in Santa Barbara, and to her delicious career.

Graduating from culinary school, Christine became Sous Chef at the newly opened Harbor Restaurant. A stint at Pierre Lafond was followed by responsibility as Pastry Chef for a trio of Chef Norbert Schultz’s restaurants: Norbert’s, Brigitte’s & Oysters.

Christine followed with five years as Executive Pastry Chef at the Santa Barbara Biltmore, where she perfected her baking skills for large banquets and buffets. Wedding cakes — extraordinary wedding cakes — formed a large part of Christine’s repertoire at the Biltmore and her pastry skill blossomed.
