History

Established in 1979.

Barry & Deidre Dubin, Board Certified Educational Therapists with Masters Degrees in Spec. Ed. were trained at the nationally renowned Frostig Center in Los Angeles. After establishing learning centers in Mexico and Australia, they brought their expertise to Santa Barbara.

They are actively involved with all students and provide ongoing supervision and training to their professional staff of degreed instructors.

Deidre is the current leader of the S.B.chapter of Educational Therapists.

The Dubin Center have successfully helped thousands of students reach their potential.

Deidre is passionate about teaching whether it be as the instructor of students, training teachers or as the study group leader for the Association of Educational Therapists.

Deidre began her professional career as a clinical psychologist but found teaching to be her calling. She trained with Dr. Frostig, a pioneer in Learning Disabilities at the Frostig Center in L.A. where she received her Masters Degree in Spec. Ed. Following this, With her husband Barry, she set up a Dept. of Spec. Ed. and a clinic in Mexico City. where she worked for 2 years.

In 1979, Barry & Deidre returned to Santa Barbara and established the Dubin Learning Center.

Deidre is a Board Certified Educational Therapist.
