Established in 2014.

Joy has been helping individuals and families as a psychotherapist intern since January 2010. She has provided counseling for her clients through her work in private practice; with the Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara; through Tri-​Counties Regional Center Early Start Services; and at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy of San Francisco. She specializes in somatic-​holistic, experiential, mindfulness-​based, and psychodynamic therapies.

Business Owner

Joy Nickinson is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology (with a specialization in Somatic Psychology) from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where she was trained in psychoanalytic and experiential psychotherapy.
