Great to stop in every few weeks or so as the inventory is always changing… but have a hearty breakfast first because there is SO much to look at, try on, and look again! High end designers (they must get the Montecito consignors!) as well as JCrew, Anthropologie, and boutique brands too. If you’re looking for anything special just ask the staff because they seem to know a lot of what comes in.

Loved my shopping experience here. Had tons of fun. Never been to a consignment store prior to this but the service was very friendly. There is a lot of nice fine end clothing and bags here which are very reasonably priced!

I can shop here every day and find something new each time. That is really the great part. These ladies get the pick of the best of the best, and it seems like things just pour in all the time.
It is so much fun to see the fantastic things — it is like a fashion museum except you can buy the artwork!
I bought a fantastic Chanel bag here, priced very competitively as compared to the Real Real website.

I recently bought a pair of Loro Piana brand new boots that are absolutely a «steal». Payed $ 250 and they retail for $ 2350. You can definitely find great stuff if you are there at the right time. The reason I took a star off is because of the old fashion feeling of the store and the fact that is so crowded with clothes. I personally don’t like to dig through a bunch of stuff to find something. I’m not a huge fan of resale overall but sometimes is fun to go in and find something brand new for a very reasonable price. People working there are great and the owner is very sweet. I think if parking was better I would go in more. By far the best consignment store in town. Recommended.

This spot is really hit-​or-​miss for me. They have a lot of fantastic clothing, and the majority is higher-​end and in fantastic condition. However, the pricing system is odd to me. I have found second hand clothing from Anthropologie for more than it would cost brand new at Anthro and I have also found great deals. Maybe a little more research should be done, but if shopping there definitely Google items or brands before purchasing because they might not be a good deal.
This could just be me, but when I have gone in their staff are usually more attentive to regular customers who they recognize or older women who appear like they might spend more money, and I get a less relaxed vibe. Maybe they shouldn’t judge pocketbooks by age.

I have always had an incredible experience at Renaissance. The selection is beyond unique and the prices are always spot on for what I would want to pay for such quality choices. The staff is always available to help out with knowledgable suggestions and this has really become my go-​to store for all occasions — whether buying for myself, or as gifts for others. Highly recommended!

Amazing stuff! They have a lot of things from Banana Republic to Chanel so it is a bit overwhelming but if you have time to look you can find amazing high end designers for good prices. Highly recommended. And also, if you need to consign this is the best place in town to bring your stuff.

Renaissance Fine Consignment was founded back in ’97 and offers a large collection of clothing selection (particularly designer wear), hats, jewelries, handbags, and shoes. There is also a little sales section in the back where some items are at a slight discount. The place is very antique-​y, with art pieces and home décor spread about. The SAs are a bit inattentive, but lets you mosey around without any bother. By the cashier, there is a rack of designer wear, but most, if not all, pieces were not at deep discounts as a consignment usually is. I did find a pair of Hermes boots that were priced at $ 150, which I thought was pretty decent: P If you live around the area and come here often, I’m sure if you browse enough, you might find something exquisite and lovely. Just know that the sizes are extremely limited, and it’s basically luck! Be sure to check out the piece, as most of the tops seem to be stained with foundation and/​or lipstick: O I know that this particular shop prides in themselves of carrying a large selection, but also one-​of-​a-​kind pieces as well. An interesting place to check out if you’re in the downtown SB area.

Clearly a top notch consignment boutique. Best in Santa Barbara no doubt. Designer labels, decorated beautifully so inviting topped off with greeted by pleasant helpful knowledgable staff. Well done!

My ultimate favorite clothing store! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Service is incredible. The girls here have top knowledge of all designers and every piece they have in their store. I have gotten many items here that I treasure dearly. Items I will pass down to my kids. Items that I can wear in many different ways, statement pieces, pieces that will make people turn with compliments, pieces that make me so damn happy to wear! This store seriously has a huge part of my heart. Not only because of their special items but because of the girls that work there. They let you play dress up for hours! It’s the best!

As a consigner I really enjoy working with Renaissance. They are always friendly and helpful, and I feel I receive a very fair price for the items I place there.

This is one of the best consignment shops I’ve found since moving to the West Coast. I’ve only been here once but I spent over 2 hours here trying on clothes. It’s a big store with a lot of quality inventory.
I found several things I liked and had to narrow it down to just three dresses to fit my budget. I’m not sure if this is always the case, but when I was there they had a bunch of unusual estate vintage pieces, seemingly from the same woman who happened to be my size. I got two, high quality, hand sewn vintage 1960’s dresses and a really fun black 1980’s dress that had a wire armature in the skirt to make it hold a cartoonish, architectural ruffle around the bottom. I think I paid $ 85 for each dress which felt fair for the quality and rarity of the items. Renaissance also had a lot of contemporary designer clothing from J. Crew to Chanel, but that’s not as much my thing and some of those seemed priced higher because of the desirability of the designers.
The saleswoman was nice. She didn’t hover but was ready to help when I asked. I really want to come back here but I’m afraid of how much time and money I will spend!

Passing through on my way back to L.A. and happened upon this place. The salesperson was friendly, helpful, and she dashed all over the shop looking for and showing me jackets, per my general description, until… She held up one and I think my heart fluttered. Excited to wear it! Will definitely be back in town, as my fave chiropractor moved up here. I suppose I’ll have time for a bit of shopping, too. ;-)

I have been to this store a couple of times and never purchased anything. Some of the styles sold there target an older woman but they do have some trendier pieces also. However, some things are totally overpriced like another reviewer stated. You can buy a theory tee at Marshalls down the block for $ 20 so why would I spend $ 50 for it here?

I procrastinated until Thursday to get a dress for a holiday party on Saturday. I don’t like shopping for cloth, especially shopping with two kids. Renaissance staff Holland finally ended my almost 4 hour shopping journey up and down State Street by recommending a rather colorful form fitting wrap dress. I would never pick something like that off the rack, but it actually looked pretty darn good. Wrap dress plus a vintage necklace together for under $ 50. Next time, I am coming here first instead of wasting my time at other stores.

They tried to sell a very expensive purse for almost nothing (they sent my invoice list to the wrong address and never bothered to follow up what must have been bounced back to them.) I had to threaten a lawsuit to get it back. It was either fraud or they have no idea the value of items. When I went to pick up my things, buttons were missing from a YSL suit. Never, ever again.

This is one of the best consignment stores I have seen. They have a great selection of brands and price their merchandise well. Their designer handbag selection is usually good but brands such as Louis Vuitton or Gucci can sell quickly. I spoke with the manager who explained that they have an appraiser to verify that all items are authentic and priced accordingly. This can be challenging as there are huge price differences between different lines in a brand, such as the difference between J. Crew and J. Crew Factory or Emporio Armani or Armani Exchange. In addition the staff is very friendly and helpful but never overbearing.

Waaaay overpriced. I found 4 jackets that I was interested in base on style, all of them from chains such as J Crew – then I looked at the price tags – $ 50-​$ 60 for a used J Crew jacket? I just purchased a brand new one for $ 40 so I would never pay $ 60 for a used one, that’s just silly! I also found a nice peacoat – it was $ 200. If I wanted to spend that much, I would buy new. And not all the clothes are designer, yes there are designer pieces but they are mixed in with Banana Republic and the like, but the prices reflect all designer pieces. They were also selling an incomplete kimono for $ 200 which was in poor condition and was missing the obi – not worth even half that in that condition (well worn and missing pieces). I would not return.
