Established in 1976.
The Liquor & Wine Grotto was founded in 1976 and was located at 1269 Coast Village Road in Montecito California. On August 3, 2009 Brian Brunello, certified sommelier, Montecito native and former private winemaker, and Jason Herrick, Santa Barbara native and experienced liquor retailer, purchased The Liquor & Wine Grotto located at 1271 Coast Village Road, next door from the original location.
Since 1976 The Liquor & Wine Grotto has offered a unique selection of wines, champagnes, liquors, beers, and liqueurs in all price ranges from its location on Coast Village Road in Montecito. In addition to carrying wines from local boutique wineries and from around the world, The Liquor & Wine Grotto special-orders hard-to-find wines, provides delivery services, cellar consultation, and hosts beverage services for weddings, corporate parties and special events. Business Owner
Jason Herrick, a Santa Barbara native, has spent his entire professional career operating wine and liquor stores and refining delivery service offerings that cater to the full spectrum of clientele needs. Brian Brunello also a Santa Barbara native and certified sommelier, who shares his last name with the famous red wine from Montalcino, Italy, developed knowledge of winemaking and a nose for fine wine by having worked in the family winery from a very young age. We are excited to continue the history of this Montecito institution and reintroduce the community to a store with not only outstanding selection but unmatched customer service.
