ThoughtBox Photo Booth can fit more than 8 people and has fun unique handcrafted props that you will not see anywhere. Mustaches, lips, chicken heads, chalkboards, clown glasses and the list goes on. We stock the prop box with new and exciting props so that the guests never go bored in the booth.

Our booth is a stand up booth, measuring 6×7 feet. The booth prints out two identical strips of 4 pictures (2 inch x 4 inch each). When the guests go into ThoughtBox Photo Booth, they will be able to keep one 2×6 strip and then put one 2×6 strip into the custom book that we provide you with. This book will have your name printed on the cover with your names on it and the date of the event. The guest will then place the photo strip in the book and write a nice message to the host. After the night is over, we will upload the images online to our website and burn the host a CD of all of the images.

My husband and I own and operate ThoughtBox Photo Booth in Santa Barbara. When we aren’t busy shooting weddings we are having fun operating our photo booths at parties, weddings and any other event in town! ThoughtBox Photo Booth is a Boutique photo booth company in Santa Barbara, California.



Alex is comfortable shooting in the studio as well as on location, carefully developing creative and distinctive shots of one of the most important and special times in a couple’s life as they begin their journey together. She realizes there is no second chance to re-​create a special moment and strives to capture the emotions and images that reflect the beauty of the day.

ThoughtBox Photo Booth was by far the highlight of my mom’s 60th birthday party. Matt and his team were incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process, giving me all the creative and logistical details I needed to know in preparation for the event. I worked with Matt to design the photobooth (open or closed layout and backdrop), the photostrip layout, and the really awesome scrapbook that he put together for everyone to put extra copies of their pictures in with a nice note. The photobooth operator was incredibly friendly and helpful, the props were fun, and it was a perfect activity for all ages. I highly recommend ThoughtBox Photo Booth for your next event!

Wow, Matt did a wonderful job setting up and manning the photo booth for our daughter’s wedding in Santa Barbara in October 2015. He went way above and beyond, even getting fabric sewn together to make a special backdrop to fit our wedding theme. He’s easy to work with, pleasant, reliable, and fun. The photo booth added a lot of sparkle to the evening. AND the photos he took look great. I highly recomment ThoughtBox PHoto Booth for your special events.

Matt and Alex are wonderful to work with from the first time I called. We lucked out that they were availalbe on short notice for our daughters wedding. They are extremely professional and very prompt. They helped to make the wedding reception fun. Our guests loved it and had fun taking home memories of a great event. The turn around on the photos were very quick. I didn’t expect such fast results. The props were fun too and Matt was very helpful. I would highly reccomend ThoughtBox for any of our special events. I posted this on the knot but as someone who just got married — online reviews were SO important in my search for vendors. I am a very thorough person and spent hours and hours pilfering through all of the possible options.
Our guests LOVED the photobooth!
We ended up going with the 4 hour package + guest book.
The props were so fun and they even let us include some cardboard cut outs of our cat that we made.
Customer service was solid and while pricey (that’s Santa Barbara for you) — they were the most fairly priced of the 20+ photobooth companies that I looked at.
Overall a great pick!
I was not the biggest fan of how the photo strips printed — we had requested four pictures but they changed it to three because they thought it looked better (this is fine but I wish they would have let me know ahead of time). Also the printed strips looked a bit off-​center and not quite aligned.
Those are the little details that I notice — our guests had the most amazing time and the photo booth was definitely worth the price for the fun that people had.
I definitely did my research — and for a photo booth in Santa Barbara — this was the best bet by far.

I hired ThoughtBox for my wedding and it was a total success! Alex was great to work with. They do custom cut-​outs as props in addition to the usual, fun hats and things. We had them do cut-​outs of our cat and dog, and my husband and me while we were making faces and things. These were a huge success. Everyone had so much fun, and I’ve been loving and laughing out loud at the photos.

We used Thoughtbox Photo Booth at my sister’s birthday party in Santa Barbara and it was so much fun! All of her friends from UC Santa Barbara went crazy taking pictures with the Photo Booth and even the adults loved it. I would definitely recommend getting a Thoughtbox photo booth because it will seriously liven up your party and give people a way to remember your special day. We are going to use it again for my nephew’s Bar Mitzvah in SB and he is soo excited :)

I rented Thoughtbox’s photo booth for my husband’s 30th birthday party and it was the highlight of the party. Everyone loved taking crazy photos and the props they provided for the photos made it so much fun! The photo quality was excellent and the booth was clean and easy to use. They arrived early and the booth ran perfectly. I have seen other photo booths at parties, and this is by far the best I’ve seen. Our friends actually ended up using them a few months later for their wedding and they did another amazing job.
