By far, working with Kim (and TOAST) was the BEST decision we made with regards to the wedding. I’ve already been dreaming about writing this review because Kim & her team were the most wonderful people to work with from day 1 of planning — through the few days AFTER the most perfect wedding week.
We moved to Chicago shortly after we got engaged — and knew we’d need help planning a wedding in Santa Barbara all the way across the country. Not only did Kim fulfill my craziest dreams, she added her own creative & innovative ideas to make this wedding more of a fairytale than anything that I could have ever imagined.
Kim saw my vision from day 1 (even with LIMITED descriptive words … and being incredibly new to Pinterest boards). She literally brought my New England roots (fall in New England) to my October wedding at the Fess Parker in Santa Barbara. Her relationships with the vendors are unmatched — it was so adorable & funny every time we walked into a new place: it’s like they knew she was coming in with a new, crazy, seemingly impossible idea that would be exciting for EVERYONE to try to accomplish. For example, we literally had an overhanging of fall leaves (just like in New England) hanging from a 50 by 50 foot structure resembling beautiful foliage for the ceremony, that transformed to a tent of a thousand + lights for the reception. I’m serious. She also is extremely conscious of your budget — working with specific vendors & materials that are within your range which you discuss at the VERY beginning when she puts together an overview of the budget you’re working with.
I was ALL about the details — and thankfully, so was Kim — maybe more than I was! She listened to EVERYTHING I said — and with all of my ridiculous, outlandish requests — I thought SOMETHING would be forgotten along the way … but no way, this team literally brought my dream to life … x100000. From the drink stirrers, to the cocktail napkins, to placing little bouquets of flowers on the tables for my newly engaged best friends, to a sign that had a picture of my dog who wasn’t able to be there welcoming everyone to the wedding, to In n Out burger goody bags (tied with glow sticks & a business card with the address to the after party) delivered at the end of the reception, to the printed materials all themed together, … the list could literally go on forever. They were so on top of things — I called her at midnight on the walk to the after party concerned that we needed more drinks than we had planned for — within 10 minutes, Tamara was at the door with cases of drinks & a special drink for my dad. It was incredible. I won’t even get started on the flowers — some of the most beautiful arrangements that I have ever seen. It’s so great that Toast is also the florist — so they can truly capture your vision with flowers as well. And they certainly did — like everything else at the wedding, far greater than my expectations.
But Kim & her team deserve far more credit than the physical materials that made the wedding so beautiful. She was SO incredibly organized, worked with all 4 of our parents (all with their crazy requests… including organizing golf trips for my dad the week before the wedding, shipping all of my mom’s packages the week after the wedding, etc), was kind and courteous, so warm & welcoming, and I honestly FEEL the passion in how much she cared about making my wedding the dream that I envisioned from the beginning. Also — this review does not even INCLUDE the BEAUTY that she organized for our rehearsal fiesta at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum! With a much smaller budget, it was truly a wedding in itself. My guests asked if we were getting married that night because it was so elegant, beautiful, and felt simple — despite the hundreds of candles, perfect flowers, tables, linens, bartenders, food… it was truly perfect & the weekend could have ended there.
I could honestly go on forever — so I’ll try to stop here. I am so beyond grateful to have serendipitously found Kim & TOAST when I was touring the Fess Parker, and I honestly cannot imagine having planned my wedding without her. My guests said this was the best wedding they’d every attended — and I credit Kim & her team for that.
I’ll finish by saying that they say brides are supposed to be stressed on their big day. I felt ZERO stress knowing Toast was working with me — they’d check on me periodically to make sure I had a drink (!), the right food, and just to see if I was enjoying myself! It was truly amazing — and my parents would write this exact same review. In fact, everyone at the wedding would.
If I can offer you ANY advice for your wedding, WORK WITH KIM & TOAST!!! It’s worth every penny & memory.

Kim and her team were lovely from the very first phone call, and there were many. She has incredible taste, understood what I was looking for right from the start and the flowers were gorgeous! Our wedding was beautiful and that cannot be accomplished without the help of an A Team of vendors. Aside from knowing her flowers and their seasons, Kim’s taste is what really shines through and her design talent is incredibly au courant. Now I know why she’s considered one of the best in the business. I recommend hiring her sooner rather than later, you won’t be sorry.

Kim and her team were great. This is your event planning team. She knows all the venues and vendors and how to negotiate the lowest price. Her team is on top of every detail. You won’t be disappointed.

Kim and her exceptionally talented team at TOAST did a truly amazing job for my wedding flowers. After a great phone call, Kim got back to me very quickly with a super reasonable quote and she was flexible with some changes I wanted to make. She always answered phone calls and emails within the day and was extremely friendly and professional.
TOAST created the centerpieces and personal flowers for my wedding and I was astounded at just how beautiful they were. I got comment after comment about how gorgeous the flowers were — from guests, the photographers, the wedding coordinators. Everyone was blown away. My bouquet was stunning… simply stunning. Kim took inspiration from my Pinterest board and then created a bouquet more beautiful than I had ever seen.
I was extremely, extremely pleased with the work done by Kim and her team and would highly recommend TOAST for any event.

Kim and her team at Toast are excellent and the flowers and design elements they provided for our wedding last month exceeded our expectations. Kim was a pleasure to work with and I really appreciated her advice during the planning process. Relative to other vendors I researched, I believe Toast offers very competitive pricing and the quality of their work is top notch. We worked with a lot of great vendors in Santa Barbara, but Kim was definitely one of the best. She took time to understand my vision but also provided her own ideas and insight. I’m so glad we found Toast and that they were a part of our wedding day!

Kim and the ladies of toast are incredible to work with. They just finished creating beautiful centerpieces and bouquets for my wedding ceremony and reception. They were able to use multiple pieces over and over from our wedding events Friday day to Saturday evening. They are innovative in their approach to design of flowers, tables, lounges, ceremony focal points and everything in between. They are extremely knowledgeable about what flowers work best during different times of the year, indoor/​outdoor and that will last through multiple events. Kim took the photos and my ideas that I gave her and recreated them only bigger and more amazing than what I started with. They were always on time, easy to correspond with, full of ideas and worked hard to get me the best value for our dollar. TOAST DESIGN STUDIO EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS!
