Unveiled Makeup & Hair

Unveiled was an absolute DREAM to work with! As a bride, the team at Unveiled made me look/​feel like the best, glammed up version of myself. I felt like a princess! The team I worked with, Leah (makeup) and Belle (hair), were so lovely and talented. I did a trial with them a few months before the wedding (which I highly recommend) and we tested out several looks. The trial gave us the opportunity to get to know one another so on wedding day, I knew I was good hands with them. Leah and I particularly bonded and I just loved how she did my makeup – elegant and understated, not too cakey — but enough to pop in pictures. And my eye makeup was my favorite part! For my hair, I like big hair and often tease it/​put it up in a bouffant, and Belle gave me the perfect wedding poof. I got so many compliments on my hair!
My bridal party also looked absolutely stunning and they couldn’t stop raving about the Unveiled team. Several of my bridesmaids mentioned that they felt hair/​makeup teams don’t typically spend time on the bridesmaids and rush through the makeup. This was not the case with the Unveiled team. I can say that I’ve never seen my friends look more stunning. Also, I think makeup can be challenging at times for moms — but both my mom and the MOG were so happy with their makeup and have never looked more beautiful! Leah, Belle and Amanda were the team that worked with them.
In addition to being talented, the Unveiled team were such cool ladies! So easy to talk, calming and responsive to my requests/​needs, as well as my bridal party.
Finally, Jenny and her team were very responsive throughout the contract process and worked with me on a schedule for day-​of that worked best for me and my party!

I worked with Casey, Sheila, Shanie, and Emily for my Santa Barbara wedding on January 16, 2016 and overall I was very happy with my experience with Unveiled. I loved my hair and makeup and my Mom and most of my bridesmaids echoed the same sentiments. Casey Robinson did my makeup and she is FANTASTIC. I absolutely loved the look she created for me and more importantly, I think it is really important to surround yourself with good, fun, positive, sweet and calm people on your wedding day which becomes hectic very quickly. Casey is all of those things. I fell in love with her at my makeup trial and was really looking forward to hanging with her again on the big day! Sheila Stone did my hair and I thought she did a wonderful job as well! Sheila is very mellow and helped keep me calm amidst all the chaos of the morning which I very much appreciated, especially because I know she could tell I was getting nervous! She curled my hair and then did a very simple /​soft bun up-​do to hold my hair, but loose enough so that I could take out the bobby pins and where my hair down after the ceremony. It worked great!
The entire team was professional, sweet, and generally just a pleasure to work with. Their prices are competitive (at least when comparing to the other companies that my wedding coordinator recommended) and I would definitely recommend them to other brides-​to-​be. I suggest doing a trial to make sure everyone is on the same page about the look you’re going for before the big day, and it gives you an opportunity to get to know the girls a little better! I could not be happier with my experience with Unveiled. My wedding planner recommended them and suggested I use Belle, since she would be able to do both my hair and make-​up. I was having a small, last minute wedding and Unveiled and Belle were both very accommodating to my schedule for trail make-​up and our wedding day. I don’t usually wear much make-​up and my hair is flat and difficult to deal with, but Belle knew exactly what to do. She listened to what I wanted and gave me advice about what would work best for photos and the look I wanted. I was so happy with her work, I would absolutely recommend Unveiled and Belle for anyone wanting to look amazing on their wedding day.

I had Katie and Shanie do my hair and makeup for my wedding last month and I could not have been happier with the final product– I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life! I did a trial with both before the wedding which I highly recommend. They both did a fantastic job listening to my ideas, asking my opinion, and taking my feedback into consideration to find the perfect look. I have had my hair done in the past as a bridesmaid in weddings and I have never liked the results — I was skeptical that anyone would be able to accomplish the look I was going for (waves in my fine, straight hair), but Katie really worked magic with my hair and it was beyond my expectations– I loved it so much! Shanie was equally as amazing with my makeup, not only was I absolutely in love with my look — but she made my mom and sister look their absolute best too! I couldn’t recommend these two enough, and the company itself was wonderful to work with, Jenny was incredibly responsive via email!

Beyond amazing! Sheila was my hairstylist and she did a fantastic job with my short (bob cut) hair. My wedding was vintage themed and she created the perfect look to match my dress and veil. Her demeanor was also very calm and soothing. Jenny (one of the owners) was able to do my make-​up and wow, just, wow. I absolutely loved her! She is such a sweet personality to work with and knows how to create a look you’ll love. Both of these wonderful ladies made sure I was part of the whole process by asking questions and making sure the look was exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much for making me feel like a queen on such a special day!

I had such a wonderful experience with Unveiled Makeup & Hair. Jenny Hopwood did my makeup and Sheila Raye Stone did my hair. They were punctual and talented and my bridal party and I had so much fun hanging out while getting ready. Wish I lived in Santa Barbara and could get dolled-​up with them all the time! I had a great experience with Unveiled for my wedding! Leah W, Katie L, and Brianna did mine and my bridesmaid hair and makeup. They were all so sweet and fun to work with, and they were great about really understanding each girls specific style and look. We were all very pleased and felt beautiful! I loved working with Unveiled. The women were very professional and asked my bridesmaids their preferences so that every girl was so happy with their hair and makeup! It is hard to please so many women. I loved my look! I got so many compliments and could not have felt more gorgeous. Both stylists made adjustments based on the preview and were so accommodating. I would highly recommend booking them for a party or your wedding.

I had the most fantastic experience with Unveiled. I recently got married in Santa Barbara and Katie and Jenny were amazing to work with. They are both incredibly talented artists and made me feel and look my best. They did my hair and make-​up for my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and also did my 3 bridesmaids and 2 moms. If we could give Unveiled more than 5 stars, we would! Jenny Hopwood and Katie Lee did a phenomenal job with hair & make-​up for my wedding. Jenny also did my mother’s make-​up, which my mother was quite nervous about. Jenny did such a beautiful job and my mother looked so beautiful in all the photos! I wanted my make-​up to be natural but noticeable and Jenny totally nailed it. Katie thought a lot about how to do my hair and tried a couple styles on the big day. I worked with Jenny, Katie, Norma and Leah for my wedding in Santa Barbara on 3÷7÷15 and they were absolutely wonderful. Jenny and Katie did my make-​up and hair, and it looked perfect and exactly how I imagined it. We decided my hair looked even better than it did originally in the trial! I didn’t work with the other two women personally, but I can tell you that all of my bridesmaids looked beautiful and were very happy with their services.
Unveiled came to our hotel to do the services there, which was very convenient for the 10 of us getting services done. The girls were super nice and fun, but also professional and great at their jobs. Their pricing is fair and everything was straight forward and easy. I am very happy I worked with them on my wedding day and I would recommend their services to everyone!

Love love love Leah. I am not a huge make up person, and make up was one of the last vendors that I booked for our wedding because I had such a hard time finding someone that made me feel beautiful but still like myself. I had 3 different make up trials before Leah and I thought I was just crazy, maybe too picky or just not comfortable with a lot of make up on. One of my friends recommended Leah, and when I met with her, she spent over an hour with me prior to the wedding to do a trial. She listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions, changed my make up a few times to get it just right… it was so helpful! She was sweet, patient, friendly and a true artist. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and I can’t emphasize enough how great she was!

Kristi from Unveiled did an amazing job with the hairdo for my maid of honor and myself for my wedding. She was able to create what we wanted from pictures we showed her. I had a slight destination wedding so I didn’t know any stylist from Santa Barbara. I found unveiled online, read great reviews, and decided to try them. I could not set up a trial appointment because of my schedule, so I was a little concerned. But, Jenny, who coordinated everything is a great communicator and was there to answer all my questions anytime.
When Kristi came over the day of the wedding, she was very sweet, calm, and professional. She put me at ease immediately. Everyone loved our hair.
I highly recommend them and would use them again! :)

Unveiled was great! I used them for my wedding in August 2014 and would highly recommend. They are reasonably priced and do a fantastic job!
I REALLY liked Leah who did my makeup. We didn’t get it quite right on the trial run so she gave me a deal on the second trial run to make sure I was fully confident before going ahead. She did individual false lashes which I highly recommend as they look and feel more natural. They lasted for 2 days afterwards too!
The rest of my bridal party loved their gals too. They did a great job
The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because one of the makeup artists was 30 minutes late on my wedding day. :/​Luckily the others were able to work as a team and help out so it wasn’t a big deal.
Also, if you have trouble getting ahold of them try contacting with both email & phone. I found that Rebecca (who managed the team of artists) was very respondent via text messages.

Love these girls! Casey and Allie did my wedding this weekend, and they were amazing. They were a total pleasure to be around. They really make an effort to listen to what people want, and are extremely friendly and personable. They arrive on time, and work very efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. And Rebecca made the whole booking process super smooth. She did a great job of answering questions and responding quickly.
All of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous and I felt beautiful.
I don’t wear much makeup, so I was a little nervous going in to all this. I did a trial, and they made me feel totally comfortable. They explained what they were doing, and started small, adding color, curls, etc as we went. This way, I never felt I was totally unnatural looking or overdone. I looked like myself, just better :-) Oh, and the studio where we did the trial was filled with natural light, which was perfect, because I could see what I would look like for an outdoor wedding…
Cannot recommend them highly enough. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

We had Leah, Sherry, Shannan, and Kristi for my wedding hair and makeup squad and they were everything we had hoped for! They were on time, professional, and super easy to talk to. It felt like a great party with friends while we were all getting primped for the big day. I loved my hair (Sherry) she took her time, yet got everyone done ahead of schedule, and my hair stayed perfect through the windy ceremony and dancing the night away! Leah did my make up trial as well as the day of, she is a true artist and so easy to talk to. We had a great time coming up with «the look» and she was open suggestions/​changes leading up to the real thing. My make up stayed put all day/​night and I got so many compliments. I truly felt like a beautiful bride! Thanks ladies!!! I highly recommend any of the Unveiled artists & stylists!

I have now had the PRIVILEGE of working with Jenny and Unveiled twice. I first met her over 2 years ago when I was planning my wedding. I had booked a makeup trial with a very well known salon in town and came out hating it! It didn’t look like me at all, makeup was so heavy and dark. Jenny was referred to me through a friend who used her for a wedding as well. Jenny came to my house for the trial, did exactly what I asked for, and was so fun and engaging to work with. She ended up doing my bridal makeup as well as my 4 bridesmaids. Everyone LOVED their makeup — it was natural but pumped up so we all looked our absolute best — and of course Jenny is a doll to be around. When my bf got married in September, there was no question as to who we would call to be doing all our makeup. Needless to say, we looked fantastic, felt amazing, photos were beautiful, and again Jenny was so fun to hang out with while we were getting ready. For any future event, Unveiled will be the first and only place I call.

I’ve worked with Drea and Jenny on multiple occasions as a photographer in the Santa Barbara community, and they never fail to deliver EVERY SINGLE TIME. The girls do flawless work and they are always professional.

I just had Leah do my makeup for my wedding and she was fantastic! She was affordable, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. She listens to what you want, but can also be trusted if you give her full control!
Our pictures turned out great, and the makeup stands out but looks natural. I had 3 of my engaged bridesmaids ask for her information because they loved all of her work on the bridal party. I would highly recommend Leah for your wedding day!
