AutoNation Acura Stevens Creek

It was a good dealer 10 years ago when we bought our 2005 MDX. We had all our maintenance done there, even the timing belt was replaced there last year, until recently the car turned 130K, we started to locate a good mechanic who saved us several hundreds every visit when this car turning old (I do love that car so much and thought I could have it forever — how naïve).
Unfortunately, my car was in an accident and considered total loss last week. We went in to check used car last Wednesday. The showroom was like a dead water. The Sales rep was nice but couldn’t help us to find a good car suit our needs.
Yesterday, my husband found a used MDX just arrived that meet our target (low mileage, old style) from their website. We rushed there, the sales rep was again kind of «cold» at the beginning. But my husband was too eager to get that car (bad sign), he didn’t care. Then, comes the Finance guy, he was «showing» he has been helping. The car price is good. The extended warranty and A1/​A2 service package are okay. With a high credit score (over 800), I don’t understand why the APR they could offer was unbelievable high (3.99%) for 60 months. Increase the down payment didn’t help. Then he said okay okay to make you happy we give you (3.49%). We have our problem, we were too eager to get that car.
This review is to warn whoever want to get a used car, you will be better off to get your car loan in advanced somewhere else. We are applying refi through Chase, today’s rate is 2.17% for used car, 2.32% for refi (60 months). We should be able to get the discount for already banking with Chase, 0.25%, and for auto-​payment, another 0.25%, hope it turns out below 2%.
By the way, just for your reference, the total interest difference is around $ 1600 (3.49 vs 2 @40K, 60mths). All I can say, congrats to this dealer’s strategy, they might seem give you a better deal in car price, but they can get it back easily through many other area.

I think Alex was trying to help and he did his job. Cesar also did a good job and had the duplicated key ready so fast. Mike was always smiling and helped us to find out how to update the map. sorry to Chris, Mike got our call and greeted us, so we bought the car from him. also, the most important thing, the car is a good car! I’ve nothing more to ask/​blame.

Worst experience shopping for a vehicle. I wanted to buy a a new acura TLX, I was met by a salesman while i was walking outside, he was cold and not helpful at all. When i asked for pricing he told me to look at the car window for pricing. He asked me what I was trying to achieve that day, which i told him i wanted to buy a car that day. Even after that he was rude and even asked me what my ethnicity was. We did walk inside and he showed me pricing for a different vehicles. I told him i wanted a black car with black interior and they did not have this vehicle in stock he kept pushing for me too look at cars they did have in stock which i did not like. We left the dealership because I did not want to purchase a car from a rude/​cold salesperson. I went to the Acura dealership in Los Gatos and purchased a car that same afternoon. (Even-​though Los Gatos did not have the color vehicle I wanted they made a dealership trade and had the car ready for me the next day)
Will never go back to Acura in san jose!

In order to write this review I had to give this dealer at least one star. If I could, I wouldn’t give them any at all. In 2012 I had purchased my mdx here, love the car, convenient for my family and I. I still remember the sales rep trung Nguyen, nice guy. Financing rep was good too got me to purchase Acura care for the car.
Now recently, I had an accident which resulted in a total loss to my vehicle. I called the dealer inquiring about my warranty, because the warranty covered me up to 7 years or 70k miles on the car which my vehicle did not reach yet. Sales rep said they could help me cancel the warranty and get me a refund on what was remaining all I had to do was bring in proof of payoff to the car and proof of mileage. 12÷10÷15 I went there with all the documents, I was helped by Jonathan Martinez. He helped me complete the cancellation documents and informed me that I would be receiving a check in the mail for my refund within the next 14 business days. 1÷10÷16 I received nothing so I decided to email him for an update. No reply. I called him no callback. 1÷25÷16 I decided to contact the rep trung Nguyen. He sounded like he was really willing to him help me, asked for all the documents that I had given to Jonathan so that he can review the file to see what was going on. I didn’t hear from trung after I sent him everything so I decided to email him again for an update. He replied in an email to Jonathan cc me on there to contact me with a follow up…
Like are you serious? If u didn’t really want to help don’t waste my time emailing you my documents, just say you will have Jonathan call me.
I really wish they could’ve taken ownership to this situation. It’s now 2÷10÷16 and I still haven’t heard from any of them. I just want to know what’s going on with my warranty.
I ended up purchasing another mdx but for sure it wasn’t with Acura Stevens creek, I went to Fremont instead

Worst service ever, will never come to this location for help again. I was ordering car parts and was trying to name them off and Jamie (?) was ridiculously rude, would cut me off and talk down to me. I’m not a mechanic, I’m trying to get help, the very least you can do is listen to me and not lecture me and talk down to me, Have some patience. I was asking for two brackets, was sharply told there is only one bracket and whether I wanted it or not, when I said okay I’ll order the one was asked left or right, like hello! if there is left and right there obviously two brackets…

I am not sure if the credit should all go to the Acura Dealer. But my experience was in particular with the Assistance service manager Adam Esquivel. I had a Tire pressure monitoring system light on my 2006 Acura even dough the tire pressure was fine on all of them. Adam was extremely helpful to listen and try helping me with the issue.

We were very pleased with our experience buying our brand new Acura in 2013 at this dealership. We had a great deal on the car with a warranty service package, we always come back for oil change or tire problems and the service took really good care of us.
While waiting in the lobby they offered us a shuttle ride to the mall or anywhere we wanted and will pick us up after the check up of the car is done. The service is excellent and the manager was very professional and helpful.

Poor service… they ruined my MDX as I have been taking it for servicing there for the last five years.

Excellent service, me and my two kids were buying a brand new MDX and Paul Laguna was excellent. Non-​pushy, answered all my questions. We found the car we wanted online and Autonation gave us a fair price and had the color combination we wanted.
HOWEVER, in response to the user below, (ABE M)… I’m glad you commented. Me and my kids were at the hot coffee machine getting water and snacks and heard you yelling and called the manager a**holes… If your going to do business anywhere please refrain from your words with small children around. We were sitting in the desk near you and heard your conversation. It seems the managers gave you the same treatment they gave my family which was respect with your rudeness. I too got a little frustrated with price discrepancy cost but Christian kindly showed me the disclaimer on Acura’s website that says price may very due to installation and such other cost a dealer incur like shipping and handling.
I hate to say I bought my floor mats from eBay but was delighted by the running boards and roof rails when they were installed… And the fact they are covered for 4 years was a treat to hear!!! Because the website says only one year if purchased else where. In any case I will be sending all my friends and fellow co-​workers! Thank you to the manager Jose and Christian for being so kind to explain the details of leasing a car without getting frustrated because I’ve never leased before.
It is interesting after reading all these reviews that people complain about simple things. I own a couple of restaurants here in San Jose and Foster City and sometimes stuff happens beyond my control that clients blow up to proportions…
What I loved about this dealer is they were pretty up front and friendly!!! They went out of the way to get my first choice color.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I took my car here for a recall on the airbags. A few days later my airbag light comes on. So I take it back to the shop.
CEASAR tells me he’ll look at it, but if he finds out that it wasn’t from the recall, he’ll charge me $ 180. If it was from the recall then they’ll fix it for free. WHAT THE F. You can’t just look at your work? If something does happen, you’ll be liable for more than $ 180 asshole. The airbag light was never on before the recall. #endrant
I will NEVER do business here ever again, and if you want half decent service, you shouldn’t either. I will only go to Fremont from now on.

Not even a one star but I have to since the Unilocal doesn’t allow you to give them a 0 or nothing. Bad customer services on the sales guy. I was looking forward buying a new 2016 TLX but the services at this place suck which didn’t make me what to buy a car from here. It seems like the sales person doesn’t want to make a sale. Everybody please save your money and go some where else. Trust me…

Bought vehicle care package (pre-​paid maintenance) for $ 445 a while back, but decided I didn’t need it due to the low amount of driving I was doing on the vehicle and wanted to cancel. There was a bunch of language built into the contract designed to minimize the amount refunded.
I aired my frustration, but what happened next was a bit of a shock. Rather than try to help me out, or even just show a bit of empathy/​understanding, the person handling this delivered an all out defensive response about the package and an overview his driving habits as if that was of relevance to my situation, and asked me several times not to interrupt him as he went on and on about how Acura’s maintenance minder works, and blah blah blah. I could have done without this. The package is what it is, valuable to those who need more maintenance, but not to me, and this point never quite registered with the person handling this. As a current and potential return customer, the employee handling this did not do any favors for this dealership over a difference in opinion on how a couple hundred bucks was spent. I canceled the program to recover the little amount I could salvage and will unlikely return for a future purchase.
My car buying process (4 years ago) was smooth, the lady processing the cancelation today was nice, but just one person, whether he was just having a bad day, or just wasn’t great at customer service ruined my view of this dealership or any desire to step foot in it again.

I have to give one star because i can not give anything below. Customer service sucks. I bought my new car here but every time i come back or even call them regarding service or just questions, it is always terrible experience. Their attitude is almost always not welcoming if not hostile, choppy, not helpful. These people just do not give a shit bout customers, especially service department; other department like parts are terrible too, and that not all. I can go more but the bottom line is do not go to this place. I ll get my all my info and go somewhere else for my service.

This review is purely for the service received from online chat. I was helped by Tiffany L, who a) could not identify the right vehicle as I specified; b) could not provide me with a price quote; and c) close the chat before me.
We are looking to close the deal within 2 days and definitely not happy with the ‘sales’ services received. We are looking for a MDX with tech package and she provided me with a link to a standard MDX and said it comes with the technology feature… Big joke…

Brought my 2014 mdx for a b1 service and decided to get it detailed. Told them I need it before 3. Called at 1:30 and was told will be done in an hour.
At 2:13 called and requested a shuttle pick up. I live literally 8 minutes away. Shuttle came at 2:55, I would have ubberd it if I knew it was going to take that long.
Anyway get the car back and every tire has a different air pressure! Called back today and was told maybe tire pressure machine is off they’ll double check. Bring it in. Reality is they cut corners and didn’t do it. Now I have to waste my time and drive it back to get the service done right. The service and detail the day before was from 8:30am-3pm, think they had my car long enough.

What a horribly 5 minute shopping experience. Walked in and Phillipe doesn’t get up and show any interest and instead waves over to have a seat while he does fumbles around with another case. The secretary (who is the only thing pleasant here) goes and gets Mark to help me with a test drive. Sadly, despite giving him my drivers license and cell phone number he insisted on having my email address. Supposedly that’s now a requirement to test drive. And since when did an email address become a requirement? Wow. Willing to consider another SUV to buy this season as a result.

It this place could receive zero stars it would. Horrible unethical people here. They put through bait and switch twice. I asked for an OTD price quote on a 2016 Acura AWD RDX. Once they gave me a formal email quote and I asked to confirm the specs. They did so and confirmed it had AWD.
I then came in to ask more questions and we ended up negotiating a deal with an add on. I was not paying for it that night so they told me to sign a sales quote, counter signed by sales manager, to have the car brought in next day. On my way home, they the sales guy called to say he made a mistake and did the pricing on a FWD. he said the Sales Manager was going to revise the price (again, after we signed). Fortunately, they only asked me to come up 500 so I agreed on the phone.
I show up the next morning ready to pay and a different sales manager says no way, the price is too low and I need to give another 1000 above the 500. Otherwise, no deal. He didn’t offer anything in concession, only sorry that the salesman and the other sales manager did the math wrong. And that if it were him, he would not buy the car. But other than that– doesn’t matter if we signed a quote, doesn’t matter if we agreed to a price, doesn’t matter what anyone else said and I won’t even try to go above me to ask. Pay me 1000 more or don’t. I told him to send me an email response with the GM copied saying they were not honoring the deal struck and he didn’t even blink– email sent.
My father was with me and almost had a heart attack yelling at these people in the middle of the showroom. They didn’t even ask us into a private room.
We went down the street and bought a Lexus on an honest deal within 1,5 hours. We told them what happened at Acura and they did it right.
I would not trust anyone here. Autonation should close this place down or swap out the entire management and sales team.

I have Acura MDX 2014, I had very bad service experience with AutoNation Acura twice in the row, first time I let it go thinking it was mistake,
I would have given zero star if i had choice.
If you are self respecting person and value your time don’t go to AutoNation Acura Sunnyvale.

Despite some of the negative reviews, my buying experience here was far from bad.
Through numerous searches and phone calls, i finally came across the car i wanted for the right price. After not being able to make a deal with a different dealer just the night before, i came here expecting the same outcome. However, michael c. (salesman) worked with me and was willing to negotiate until we both met in the middle. I was so relieved we were able to find commongrounds in order to proceed with my purchase. Thanks for being so patient with all my first-​time buyer questions and concerns, as well as your efforts to find the bargain which i was comfortable and happy with.
Huge thanks to henry, who agreed to stay back and follow me home to drop off my current car, then take me back with the company car so that i could drive my new purchase home on the same night. It was also nice of you to physically run through all of the functions of my car so that i wouldnt be left clueless.
A final thanks to trung, who helped me choose the right package deals which would be beneficial for my new car while helpful towards my savings. You rock! Thanks for being so efficient as a team and having me out of the door all within 3 hours from the time i arrived.
All of those horror stories about bad dealerships/​pushy salesmen/​tedious hours of paperwork may be true somewhere else, but definitely not here. Very quick and painless. Im beyond happy i chose this company to do business with. Thanks again!

I wrote this while I’m on hold. What happened to this dealership?
Scheduled an appointment a week in advance for a recall repair. Dropped off my car and left only to be told the part is not available and I need to come back another time. This was a waste of time.
I called 2 other times to get price estimates for car services.
Something is wrong with their phone reps or they are just really busy. They kept forwarding me around and it literally took 15 mins to talk to the right person both times. Put on Hold, someone comes on to me on hold. Try it.
And as you probably know, dealership service is 1x to 2x the cost of independent Acura mechanics. If you are getting timing belts or any major repair, that makes a big difference.
