I hired Benomix for my wedding and he was very involved with the entire process. He helped to ensure that my entire music selection was perfect and provided me with different music options. I was able to sample his music style and he knew exactly what type of music I wanted from hearing the type of songs and artists that I currently liked. The Dj’s music at my wedding was a big hit and everyone loved the music that was playing in the background all night long. When it came to dancing everyone danced to all their favorite hits. It was perfect and I recommend him to everyone I know.

Beno was our wedding DJ a few months ago in Sonoma. He did a wonderful job and we only have great things to say!
We were referred to Beno through a friend who had seen him at other weddings. We were planning the wedding from out of state and Beno was very helpful and flexible throughout the process. We only flew in on two weekends and he was able to meet with us on one of those trips to get to know each other and go through details. He also visited our venue on his own.
Beno’s very organized and had great suggestions for wedding timelines /​music choices. We were upfront about not being too knowledgeable with music and Beno was able to determine what would be best for our guest demographics and laid out a plan. He’s very experienced in picking music that caters to your audience, and he got most of our guests out on the dancefloor. It was surprising seeing young cousins and older relatives dancing throughout the night! THANKS!

I was introduced to Beno by a friend. He was very good at asking questions to ensure he understood the audience at my wedding. I appreciated him asking me these questions because it meant he was thoughtful about the choice of music he was going to play and that he could prepare a library of music.
He also emailed me a list of top songs (based on various genres of music). He also included a section for top songs playing in Ireland (because my husband and a lot of the people at my wedding are from Ireland). He gave me a questionnaire to fill out to help him better understand what my husband and I wanted him to play and when to play the songs. The questionnaire also included what type of music would help my guests get up onto the dance floor, and also how he should take in song requests.
He also made sure that during the ceremony, the officiant was mic’d properly and the crowd can hear the ceremony clearly.
Beno even took the time to check out the venue days before the wedding to make sure he had the right space and outlets needed to DJ at my venue.
He did a great job with setup, planning, and more importantly making sure people were enjoying the music at the wedding! I was super happy with Beno. He is really organized, and I really appreciated him taking the time to make sure he was prepared for my wedding.

To be honest, my music repertoire is almost nonexistent so I handed that over to my husband to figure out all of the wedding music. But boy was he a happy camper at the end of the night~
The music was on point from ceremony to the last dance. Beno is intuitive to know when a song does or does not work with a crowd, so he’ll know to end a song early or get more songs in of a particular genre. Actually, Beno was like our VJ/​DJ since we had some video elements that he helped coordinate for our wedding.
Such an accommodating, low maintenance, organized and all-​around good guy to work with.

Beno was our DJ at our 30^th birthday party last week. We had an awesome time, much thanks to him! He showed up well in advance, played the kind of music that we liked and made sure the guests had a good time dancing. He was very easy to work and I liked it how he gave us a spreadsheet beforehand to fill out and how he had playlists available for us in google docs. Would definitely hire him again for another event! FIVE stars for Beno!

Beno was our DJ at a walk community event last month and he did an incredible job! He supplied fantastic music, he was flexible and able to accommodate changes in the program, and he really knew how to read the audience to keep them engaged. Additionally, the event emcee and event director found him very easy to work with.

Beno is one awesome DJ!!! We hired him to do our wedding this past June 2, 2012! He definitely got the party started! He is very detailed oriented, and knows his music!!! He made sure to include all our specific requests for the reception music, and even helped us out and cut, and remix some songs for the ceremony music too! He was so flexible and reliable! He is quick to respond via email, and via phone. He is a true professional! His prices are very fair compared to a lot of the other DJ’s around the bay area, and definitely has skills on the turn tables! I highly recommend Beno if your looking for a DJ!!!

Benomix was the DJ for this wedding I recently attended, and they were really top notch!
Throughout the reception, they read the crowd perfectly and adjusted their music in a super smooth way. As if providing music wasn’t already a full time job, they facilitated both the music AND the wedding speeches (even helping the restaurant set up their sound equipment!!!). Right after dinner ended, tons of guests started filling out the dance floors because they love the music and couldn’t wait to dance!
They were also professional, lively, and great with entertaining the guests. I would definitely recommend them to DJ for your events!

Love this DJ! Heard his music recently at a wedding and it was goooood. He played all the recent hits and even threw in some throwbacks-​the ones that never get old i.e. any Michael Jackson jam =) His music library also goes beyond just english. He has some international jams as well such as british, korean and indian. You know a person loves music when he has international tastes. He was also super easy to get along with and had a cheery attitude about everything. A lot of people went up to him for requests and he played every song, no matter how weird or off beat it may have been. So his transitions were smooth also. His equipment was pretty high tech, at least from what I can tell. Let’s just say it didn’t look like he bought it at target.
All in all, loved dancing to his mix and would recommend him to any venue, whether wedding, bday party, company party, slumber party or whatever. 5 stars all the way.

He DJ’d my wedding and several other friends and friends’ friends’ friends’ etc weddings. He definitely has experience and gives you tips and provides expert questions to help you figure out what you want and what to watch out for in terms of music and flow the day of the wedding. It makes it so that as a bride you have one less thing to worry about knowing that the DJ will proactively remind you of things you need to figure out for music and MC-​ing. Aside from that, he’s a really nice guy and very professional.

We worked with Beno as a DJ for our wedding. Since we were fronting the bill; I was a stingy bride and whacked all sorts of budgets. Originally my idea of having music was slapping an ipod onto my cousin and telling him to occasionally hit play. As time wore on and I realized how ghetto that was, I started looking around for DJ’s to quote out and provide music for our event. I even ended up adding in a dancefloor for our banquet.
Beno was a breeze to work with. We had a preliminary appointment and he had a very thorough worksheet for my fiancé and I to work on. We listed songs that we liked and we hated and using these suggestions, he put together a great playlist. Prior to the event, he met up with me and my site coordinator up at Yank Sing to take a look at the outlets/​location/​floorplan in order to visualize what his set would be on the wedding day. I was thoroughly impressed since he drove up from the South Bay into the heart of the Financial District in SF ON A WEEKDAY = CRAZY INSANE TRAFFIC. It shows how dedicated he is to his business and his clients in order to provide a perfect wedding.
I’ve been to my fare share of Asian weddings and usually the dancefloors are fairly empty or you have a few young people dancing awkwardly. Not my wedding. We had the floor packed and my aunts and uncles were grooving it up and a cousin even breakdanced. Awesome!

Beno is a great DJ to work with. We worked with him for our wedding at Ruby Hills and Beno worked with us weeks before on song selections and on the day of wedding, showed up on time with all the equipment and even helped rent a wireless mic so people can hear our vows since it was outdoors. Whole evening went very smooth for our music. He’s very professional, hard-​working, friendly, and all around great person. Highly recommend him for any occasion.

I worked with Beno for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Since I was the Wedding Planner, I had already confirmed with him on time of arrival and timeline. I was very impressed by his professionalism not just his demeanor but also his appearance. He not only showed up on time, he brought a helper with him to assist with moving equipment and setting the stage for the reception. He was great with everything from background music, to keeping the dance floor completely filled. It was truly a pleasure to work with him and I would enjoy working with him in the future.

I have first seen DJ Beno mix it up at a wedding in 2000. I didn’t believe it at first when I met him that he was a DJ. I mean, how many DJs do you know who’s been mixing since high school?! As of now, he’s been DJ’ing for over 17 years… and it shows. He’s also very technical as he’s main job is an engineer. With his musical (multiple wind instruments and piano) and calculating engineering backgrounds, he makes a very sound DJ. He’s creative and yet very precise in his mixing.
I’ve witnessed him Dj’ing weddings and parties. I’ll first start with weddings. He meets up with his clients and gives them very reasonable rates for what he offers. He custom mixes his clients’ music, making dancing more personable and exactly what the clients need. He can cut music short or lengthen it… match it to your choreographed dance. Some DJs can do this. But can he also mix? He has pre-​planeed dance sets according to the couple’s desire but also takes requests and integrates them in on the spot when he can and with smooth transitions. Now this is tough, because not all requests fit into his sets. He thinks hard where to put the requests in without destroying the sets. It’s so that everyone can enjoy the dance. He’s very accommodating.
Because of his numerous wedding experience, DJ’ing at parties have been comparably easy and fun.
DJ Beno has the most up-​to-​date equipment (Serato) and scratches music to suit everyone’s taste. He gives his clients most bang for the buck since he does this part-​time. He’s definitely under market for the amount of experience he brings to the table.
If you truly want your special event to go right and your music and audio (yes, he does accommodate for live music and provides audio as needed for wedding ceremony and reception), don’t hesitate to hire him. Don’t go for some young kid wannabe DJ that costs few dollars less than Benomix. You’ll regret him ruining your event. Now can you go back and fix that? Your wedding insurance doesn’t cover bad music!
Oh, and DJ Beno’s super nice and friendly. Don’t take advantage of him!
