In A Nutshell:
–I really liked the non-​pressure customer service offered by all of the staff that work here — especially Victor. These guys really, really love Rolex, they know every facet and detail of the timepiece and they all own their own.
–After spending a few days doing a plethora of online research, I decided now was the time to buy my first Rolex timepiece.
–I could write a novel on why I chose this luxury brand, but you can just Google up the many reasons why Rolex is the 2^nd most trusted company in the world.
–This store has a ton of choices ranging from 5k to 70k+, so you’ll find the timepiece you want that fits your budget.
–They also offer their own 1-​year warranty, not to mention that Rolex also includes a 5-​year warranty as well.
Overall, I’m VERY happy with my trusted new timepiece. Don’t skimp on well-​built products, they are worth the money.

I’m planning on buying a Rolex in the near future and these guys are the only authorized dealers in the area so I decided to walk in and try on some watches.
I made it pretty obvious that I was not going to be purchasing a watch that day (I live in a different state that doesn’t have any sales tax so I’d rather purchase it there), but the gentleman working behind the counter was very respectful. He showed me all the watches and explained the difference between various models; he was very patient and spent a lot of time speaking to me. There was no pressure, and he treated me like a very valued guest even when I wanted to look at some of the more expensive timepieces (price tag bordering on 6 digits; maybe someday :)).
I can tell that they are enthusiasts and I’d totally buy from them if I lived in the area. Highly recommend their service!

I’m super surprised this place doesn’t have higher ratings. I had such a great experience.
We went to 2 other places before coming here, and loved this place! The customer service was excellent, and the pricing was fair. The person helping us (I believe his name was Kevin) worked with us on pricing and saved us money.
Someone came up to help us as soon as we walked in the door. They offered us water and orange gummy candies, which was very nice of them. Anything we had questions about, someone would answer for us.
The Hearts on Fire collection is GORGEOUS. It was over our price range, but definitely take a look at those.
After we bought the diamond we wanted, we started looking at rings just for fun. They still showed us whatever we wanted to see and told us any information we wanted.
I would definitely come back here for my future diamond needs.

I am surprised with all the bad reviews. This place is awesome… customer service and pricing! I love a good deal and even went to Jade Galore to compare the two prices and Jade Galore tried to sell me up on customer service because they couldn’t beat the price. Ahhh… no thank you, I’ll stick to a trusted company. Josh is the best. I do not even have to haggle on the price… he gives me the price and it’s FINAL SALE for me :)

Davidson&Licht, pricey, but the ONLY place to buy good quality jewelry…

I had purchased a breitling aerospace second hand without papers and went here to see if I could possibly get a COSC document as this was mentioned on a forum. The employee was offended that I even asked if this is possible. He looked at my watch and told me «A COSC for this watch, not possible, no way! You only ever get one. This thing is old! It is discontinued, they no longer make it. It’s not worth much since the band isn’t original» (It had a $ 250 breitling leather band not the titanium). This place is rude and unprofessional. When I asked to see the latest aerospace the guy kept it under the glass and quoted me the price and did not offer to let me inspect it. I will not be going back here and would not recommend this place to anyone!

My wife wanted to buy a Rolex watch and this is the nearest authorized dealer. Thai knows his Rolex and helped us choose. He gave us a great price. My wife was happy.

My wife and I went there to buy our matching Rolexs We just back from the gym needless to say we weren’t dressed to impress. We walked in there and there was no one in the store except three employees. Do you think any of them acknowledged… uh…NO! We looked at the Rolexs, still no one! Omg, we were there about 15 min with not even a hello. They gabbing and gigglimg, as we decided to leave, we finally got a *can we help you‘. We just kept walking right down the mall to Ben Bridge.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE! about 20 min and $ 20.000 later we walked out of Ben Bridge happy as can be. My wife really really wanted to go back and do the Pretty Woman move! They do work on commission! That was a huge commission loss for those fools. Please trust me, go to Ben Bridge!

Was greeted by everyone when we walked in & offered bottle water twice in the short time we were there.
Michelle was very helpful in helping me find engagement rings. She looked into getting a different stone for the setting and called me back the next day.
Overall good customer service.

Could your customer service suck any more? Doubtful. Seriously you ask about an item, and get the «no you are wrong, they don’t make that.» A simple «we can look, but don’t think that is available/​made.». Note I got what I wanted (the actual item) somewhere else. Also from now on my watch maintenance I will certainly go somewhere else. Fire your staff, and start over i might think of returning to your store. Just horrible attitudes.
If you care about the name/​reputation someone will read the post on Unilocal!& do something about this. It appears to be a trend on here.

Visited recently to look at wedding bands and thought about asking them to clean my engagement ring.
When I mentioned I was newly engaged, the woman who approached me just starred (no, «congratulations» no «best wishes» no «let me see your ring, oh it’s so beautiful» etc).
I asked her if they had any milgrain or plain wedding bands in yellow gold. She took me to a case of channel and pave platinum rings. When I asked again about milgrain or plain and yellow gold, she said, «oh we don’t carry that. I could order it for you».
Ya right. If I wanted to order something sight unseen, I would go to an online jeweler with better prices.

Really bummed to write this bad review. My mom’s family has been using Davidson and Licht as their family jeweler for over sixty years. So, when it was time to go wedding band shopping, my fiancé and I headed here. We did get sized up as we walked in (not surprised to read other reviews stating the same). Sure, it was our day off, and we are at Valley Fair… So yup, we were dressed casually. That doesn’t mean we don’t have money to spend. In fact, I was wearing my heirloom D and L engagement rings.
Got a salesperson to help us and we tried on a few bands, but they didn’t have the size and metal type we wanted. The salesperson said she would have to enter our information in the computer for pricing. Really? Shouldn’t you have a chart with metal type and ring size? After waiting fifteen minutes, she said they would have to call me back the next day with the pricing info. I did give her a chance to call today but not a peep. As my fiancé joked, we just got Pretty Womaned!
Right after leaving D and L, we went to Tiffany, a few doors down. I was bracing to be sized up again but a super friendly salesperson helped us immediately and cheerfully, could give us a price estimate right away, and even had our rings in stock. I guess that’s why Tiffany is so successful… They actually accept money from customers no matter how they look.
Oh, and while I can’t speak to pricing exactly, I did see how much the bands we tried on were. And Tiffany was actually a few hundred cheaper for a similar band. And not only is Tiffany top of the line, but known to appraise for more due to the name. So shop elsewhere for better pricing.

I bought a pearl necklace 7 years ago from D&L at Valley Fair. I was told it was a Mikimoto pearl necklace. They even boxed it up in a Mikimoto box. It came loose a few months ago and I took it to a Mikimoto store for repair, where I was told that it was not an actual Mikimoto piece. Terribly disappointed because I have bought many jewlery pieces here. Now I want to know what else did I buy under false pretenses

If you need a Rolex or fine jewelry in the South Bay come here. Josh was awesome! He’s the Rolex guru, and he will help you pick out the right one. He will also goes over everything you need to know. Kamal was our sales lady and was more then helpful with no pressure at any time. They have both helped our family with all our watch purchases and I look forward to doing business with them again.

I like to look at jewelry displays in jewelry stores’ windows because it’s fun and it’s supposed to draw you in. One of their pieces drew me in — a ring by Armenta.
I asked to see it and wanted to know the pricing. They said it was $ 2100-​$ 2200. I asked what materials this was made of — sterling silver, some gold, diamonds and a doublet that consisted of the bottom part being mother of pearl and the top stone being a blue topaz.
As a jewelry designer myself, I knew that ring shouldn’t retail for more than $ 1,800. They didn’t have it in my size, but I was willing to special order it providing that we could purchase the ring for $ 1,900. They wouldn’t budge, so we walked.
Hubby and I decided to stop and get a coffee at the Nordstrom Café. He ordered and I googled the designer and the specific ring I wanted.
Imagine my surprise when I found it at the Neiman Marcus website for $ 1,600.
I like to shop locally and support local businesses. I wasn’t going to purchase from Neiman Marcus unless I live in Texas.
I went to the Armenta website and found another local jeweler who sold the same pieces… sadly, they were out. However, the ring is being ordered for me in my size AND I purchased another ring from Armenta as well.
While D&L doesn’t care, they lost out on a sale and someone who would be a repeat customer. As I said earlier, I like to support local businesses and if they were priced fairly and I didn’t feel like I was being ripped off, they would’ve had my business. As it stands, I went to Earthworks in Los Altos for the rings.
On the upside for Davidson & Licht? Their customer service is fabulous and friendly, which is what saved this from being a 1 star review.
Long story short for the TLDR crowd:
Davidson & Licht mark up FAR above MSRP. They don’t negotiate. Go elsewhere for the same items.

I am looking for a new Rolex. I went into their store and found them all very helpful and kind. I asked a lot of questions and went back and forth between a couple of watches and I consumed about 20 minutes of their time. They were E-​X-​T-​R-​E-​M-​E-​L-​Y HELPFUL and kind. They knew their product well and while I had a newer sales woman helping me she was knowledgeable and well supported by a Vietnamese man who stepped in to help with some of my more technical questions. It was all done in a very supportive fashion.
This is clearly a family small business operating in some expensive floor space in a high traffic mall. I’m sure for them it’s a mixed blessing: lots of foot traffic… but lots of self important gawkers and time wasters. As I read the reviews below many of the negative ones are probably the result of the wrong customers trying to buy in this store. This is IMHO an old school quality jeweler. They will give you an excellent selection and price on quality merchandise. I suspect many people come in looking for the typical mall low quality fashion jewelers and are put off because they don’t know what to expect and are used to Wal-​Mart.
They aren’t Zale’s or some other Timex & Drill bit outfit with large low quality snow ball grade drill diamonds and schlock watches that you find in most Mall Chain stores. They are a quality shop and if you want a good price for higher quality then this seems like a good place in this part of town.
If you want to spend $ 50 or less on a diamond pendant or cheap and garish cocktail ring go to K-​Mart…

I’ve waited about 1 year to write this review. I was so angered by my experience with the sales associate that I needed the time to cool off. Well, a year later, I still think this place can Davidson & Licht my anus.
My fiancée and I were shopping for an engagement ring. The sales associate would not show us anything that cost less than 30k, which is fine, except that he was 1) Repeatedly saying that if I spent a dime less, I obviously didn’t love her, and 2) obviously trying to get us out of the door as quickly as possible. While the former is just incorrect, at least the latter worked wonderfully. We left and have not returned since, nor will we ever.
If you like snobbery, prejudice, and downright rudeness, this is your place. If you don’t, just don’t bother walking inside of here. Ever.

Their television ads are so cheesy and low-​brow /​low-​budget that I hardly
made it past the front door. They can’t decide if they are snobs or slobs.

Excellent service. My husband got my engagement ring here and Josh was absolutely the best. He worked with him patiently and they found the perfect ring for me.

Watch buyer review. Note for jewelry, it may rock (pardon the pun), I just don’t know.
