I grew up as the daughter of an interior decorator. Needless to say, she was quite snobby and particular, and I was lucky enough to buy most of my furniture through her while she had her business. When I bought something she didn’t like or consider «quality,» believe me, I heard about it – and our taste was VERY different. Even when she was in business, she would tell me to go to Eastern for items I wanted. I was recently in the market for a nice slim leather recliner. I did my research on what manufacturer I wanted & I was lucky they were having a sale. It is gorgeous. The leather feels like butter, and I don’t have to share it. I just wish I had room enough to buy 2! Now I need a kitchen table. Waiting for the next sale!

There are only 2 words to describe this outlet. Racist and Materialistic. I would have given negative stars if possible. Upon walking in the store, the sales person looked at us, up and down and said, «Oh, what are you doing here? You must be hanging out here !!» I was about to to reply him saying «You are the one working here and I am the one buying, that should explain the difference» But I decided against it, just to ensure I don’t stoop to their level. We came with a genuine intention to buy, and we will buy, but not from here. These people don’t deserve any business, at least not from me.
Eastern Furniture — Learn to respect people from all race, religion and color and stop judging people based on what they wear. You are in service business — Customer comes first !!

The worst experience that I have ever had in a furniture store! We walked in to the store with a strong desire to buy a few pieces from «Hancock and Moore». We had a model number and we thought that it would be fast an easy. A rep, Bob, was not friendly at all. As a matter of fact, he was simply rude to us. He started interrogating us asking what kind of a top grain leather we wanted. When we asked him to help us with the choice, he just disappeared for half an hour. All our attempts to talk to other reps were unsuccessful, they told us that now only Bob should serve us because we talked to him first. What a nice service! I read one review here, where lady wrote that sale reps gave service priority to Caucasians. Don’t worry this «business» treat all customers like crap. (We are Caucasians). I believe that the store’s business license should be revoked This «business» is a shame for the Silicon Valley!

Loved this store. Excellent selection of furnishing. We have several wonderful pieces we purchased here. Alice is a fantastic salesperson. Great customer service and very helpful and knowledgeable!

So far it is a 0 stars as I came before 4 pm, and they close at 6. The whole store is closed with the sign that they will resume sale in Thursday. Puzzles me why, but I definitely lost time in driving.

I have used Eastern to furnish two homes and have been extremely happy with the quality of their service and the quality of the furniture. Sarina is the best sales person that I have ever worked with. She also helped me with interior design of my home and did a beautiful job. Sarina helped me with my window treatments as well and I couldn’t be happier. The quality of service all around is amazing!

We were going to a Greek restaurant, and we found this store by accident. When my wife saw the furniture, she lit up like a pin ball machine at Santa
Cruz! We felt very comfortable with Ann. She was calm and really knew furniture.
The delivery by Joe & Cruz was very well done,. They are Eastern employees, and not from a contractor.

Walked into this furniture store excited to find some items for my living room & dining room and left extremely disappointed. Upon walking in, a sales associate looked us up and down and passed us up for Caucasian customers walking in right behind us. At first I thought, maybe they had an appointment or had been there earlier. But, it happened the whole time we were in the store! Every single sales associate avoided us like the plague and walked up to other Caucasian customers who came in after us! It couldn’t be because of how we were dressed, they were helping people who came in with shorts and wrinkled t-​shirts. I couldn’t believe that in this day age people are still treated this way! I am a Latina who expects to be treated the same as everyone else and was so insulted to find that this store feels otherwise!

Eastern furniture excels at customer service! My wife and I had issues with TWO orders of a sofa and matching love seat. To our surprise, Mark the owner, and Marcia Bolster worked with us to make it right. It was obvious that our satisfaction was their top priority. We now have a Miles Talbot sofa and love seat that is just perfect for us. Do not hesitate to visit their beautiful showroom and check out the exceptional variety and some very good values with display furniture.

We received delivery of our custom sectional from Eastern this week and I’ve been delighted with the process from beginning to end!
I went to Eastern at the recommendation of a friend. The showroom selections were nice but I was uncertain that any of the sectionals would work well in our space (which isn’t large). I was very skeptical when approached by an associate offering to come look at our space because … well because our home is not fancy and was uncomfortable with the idea of working with a designer. After a nice conversation with Kent, I agreed to have him come to our home. Boy am I glad that I did!
Kent took measurements, talked with me, and assessed the style of our home and the way we live. The next time I met with him at the store, he had a suggestion that was JUST RIGHT! Rather than picking something off the floor that would have been over-​sized, he walked me through picking out a custom model where I was able to select arm, leg and cushion style as well as a leather that was within our price range and just the right color to compliment our other furniture. My husband and I were also able to sit on a sample model in the showroom to ensure that we’d like the way it felt for both sitting and lounging. Kent was extremely helpful but never made us feel pressured.
Right on schedule about eight weeks later I received a call from their delivery department. The scheduler was wonderful about fitting the delivery into my limited time availability and the delivery team was friendly, efficient, and professional.
We have been sitting on the sectional for several days now and are very pleased with the quality and comfort. It’s MUCH better than what I had seen at other chain stores. Sure, we paid more but the custom service for a high quality product was worth it.

We discovered this place a few years ago, and though they had a great selection. We bought a sofa and loveseat to replace a 13 year old set. Eastern took over 8 weeks to deliver the furniture, after promising delivery in 3 – 4 weeks.
Now, about 2 years later, the terrible quality is evident. The seat cushions are permanently indented. The padding on the arms has compressed so now the wood underneath can be felt.
Regardless of price, their quality is garbage. I’ll be looking again, but never agin at Eastern.

I purchased a Bradington Young sofa here — a very good custom sofa. They did a great job — the sofa is perfect and it arrived ahead of schedule. They also beat almost everyone’s price. Only one other provider matched the price, but I had to go with Eastern due to Kent’s service approach.

Eastern has a wonderful selection and great prices. The people who say they are expensive don’t know the value of real furniture. If you want cheap Ikea crap, go to Ikea and buy a new bed every year.

Overpriced and old furniture. I would go to other places that don’t jack up the price like ten times. Never coming back again to this shit hole.

I came looking for a furniture store and i stumbled on place this while driving on Central Expressway.
I walked in and all I can say is «wow». So far (with Debby’s help) we have pretty much finish our living, family and dining room and it is great looking! (our style is transition european)
Summary:
— Great furniture selection. They carry mid-​end brands to very high end brands. If you are looking for IKEA stuff, this is not the place. This would be something along the lines of Ethan allen and Thomasville but 100x more selection and quality range.
— Great staff. I am working with Debby Marti. She picked up on our style and worked with us. She also expanded our view and educated us on what «good» furniture really is.
— Great delivery service.

Amazing selection of gorgeous furniture. Not the cheapest but definitely great quality. We’re extremely happy with the leather couch we bought from Eastern.

Easten Furniture has a beautiful collection of traditional furniture for the home. I went there looking for beds. Most are priced $ 1,000 and above. I didn’t end up buying as the items were outside of my price range but highly recommend the store.

I have been to many furniture showrooms around the bay area. When it comes to higher quality and great selection, Eastern is hard to beat. They have an excellent selection of furniture and accessories. Their service has been great, taking the time to really understand the needs and help select appropriate furniture. I’ve been very happy with the overall quality of the service and furniture.

When it comes to furniture, I find that the South Bay area is the ultra-​suede capitol of the world. I mean that in a not-​so-​good way. If you like ultra-​suede covered furniture then Eastern this is not the place for you. If you are convinced that price you pay is the sole indicator of product quality then go to Ethan Allen and find bliss. If you’re serious about your furniture investment and names like Marge Carson, Henredon, Harden, Baker and Century are what you’re looking for then you will be pleased with what you find at Eastern.
Eastern has a good selection of furniture in their showroom that ranges from nice filler pieces to investment grade, one-​of-​a-​kind treasures. They have everything from the major pieces — dining, sofa, beds — to the things you don’t see, but can often make the room — lamps, rugs, occasional tables and artwork. You can find everything you need and if they don’t have it, they can help you find exactly what you want and then order it for you.
Eastern is not inexpensive, but it has selections that are a good value to someone who wants an item that makes a room into something they cherish for many years.
Eastern service staff are also quite good. They answer the phone with a live person who can speak fluent English! They say they will check and call you back — and they call you back! Their delivery team is also great. They show up on time and are very careful.
What’s also nice is that you can walk in and go through the entire showroom without someone bothering you until you are ready for help. They are appropriately attentive without being pushy.
They offer good value and do what they say they will do. How can you ask for more?

Very nice furniture store– carrying a huge variety of brands in their showroom and can order anything you could ever want– as far as I can tell. Pleasant sales people– not pushy, knowledgeable and interested in helping you find what you want.
