Dr de lavega is my dentist she is very attentive and her dental assistant is also very nice, Dr delavega explains everything and does a good job

The staff are polite and friendly. Had service done in january and now six months later they are asking for more money. Their insurance claim process is below standard. Spoke to the insurance to inquire about it and reply when there is alternate fee, they will pay the lesser amount. The insurance person added there was no record of the staff calling to verify coverage before procedure. Im sorry because of that we will not go back. They lost four clients. The office called me. Thank you for trying to get a resolution. My kids do love the staff.

The dental assistant there is so nice! Always helpful and great with my daughter when I have to bring her with me to my appt. and always explains everything to me in detail. The dentist is always very welcoming as well! Has short but good conversations and has always did an excellent job when I’ve needed work done. The only downside is the bill I get after insurance… several people with my insurance tell me they never have to pay more than their copay but here I usually get charged copay plus more… I’m not sure how all the billing and prices go so idk what to really say about it just think it would be nice to not have to pay so much as I already pay a lot for insurance itself…

I’ve been going to Dr. De La Vega for many years and I’ve always had pleasant visits. Everyone is super friendly and I always feel comfortable going. I’ve had veneers put in by Dr. De La Vega and they look really nice and can’t tell they’re veneers. Another plus is they are open Saturdays!

Michelle and her staff are top notch! Always professional and courteous and take the time to explain the procedure every step of the way. She also sees my three children and are wonderful with them. I recommend her highly!

im sorry and i hate to post something bad!.. but like most places there has to be a pooper like me! =(i was really unsatisfied the dentist i felt had a really unprofessional attitude while she had her tools in my mouth her son was running around the office not to mention she was gossiping about someones boyfriend with her dental assistant… and last but not least she couldnt tell me a direct answer as whether she found a cavity or not… hello?.. ummm maybe like 1?.. what maybe… ummm im sorry so then im waiting to pay my copayment and shes chit chating in front of me and her dental assistant is the one thats like oh hold on help her first then ill tell you what i heard… i was like how much do i owe soo i can leave! ugh totally not satisfied and im very sorry for this not so good expierence! =/

This is the second dentist I have ever had in my life. I needed to choose another dentist now that I am on my own insurance — finally got too old for Daddy’s insurance. — Plus I moved to the south bay from the east bay. I spent weeks looking for a dentist. Out of the ones that were the closest to me, this one had a good review(even though it was JUSTONE!!!) I thought I would just give it a shot! So to compare — Dr. De La Vega’s office is SOOOO more high tech than my old one in Oakland. Right when I walk it, it almost looks like a spa. It had many tranquil plants, and even a fountain. Since it was my first time using this insurance, 16 x-rays were covered along with a general cleaning. I sat down in my chair and the x-rays were done right there. Plus the images show up on a flat screen that is located RIGHTINFRONT of my chair. So I see all the xrays as they are being taken. Later on, they took regular pics with this camera pen — again the pics show up on the screen in front of you. My old dentist didn’t have anything like this. They had the xrays that you put against the light. They didn’t take regular photos of your teeth. The staff was extremely friendly! But not only that, but there are two people helping out when they are doing the general cleaning and they are constantly checking to make sure I’m OK. AND they can tell you about the insurance information instantly. I asked if so many xrays were covered with my insurance and they knew that. Then I was getting cavities filled but right beforehand, they sat me down and broke down the charges to me — with deductibles, bla bla mumbo jumbo. That was impressive. The cavity filling process was painless — because they were so attentive, numbing the gums, THEN injecting Novocaine. Last, but not least, Dr. De La Vega explains the WHOLE process to along the way. It’s a great way to make you more aware of your teeth and gums. She explained to me the importance of flossing — instead of just saying«don’t forget to floss» If you are looking, I HIGHLY recommend Genesis Dentistry.
