Khoobsurat Threading Salon

I would give this place 4 stars based on my previous eyebrow threading visits. It’s a clean, well kept place and the staff is always friendly.
However, I came in to get my brows threaded today and have never been so unhappy with how my brows turned out. I don’t know her name, but I came in around noon on 1÷13÷16 and was out in just over 5 minutes. Granted my eyebrows are slightly asymmetrical to start with, but she did a terrible job on my left brow. She made a very unnatural straight line across the top and she did not even trip my hair with scissors after. I’ve never had my brows threaded or waxed without it being trimmed afterwards. I did not feel like she took the time or care with my brows. Very disappointed in the service.

I have been going there for eyes brows and upper lips which is good and tried for facials but it was not what I thought of at $ 45 !
It felt the girl was filling up somebody’s place and didn’t do much. The facial for me was applying different creams for 10 mins with no proper facial strokes and then 15 mins face pack.
I am so disappointed I could have done this myself and not pay this much for a basic facial.

they are so bad for a haircut, dont even go there if you are thinking about a haircut! it took me 5 months to get my hair back to go for another trim. the lady made a mess. I would highly doubt if they have skilled workers

I prefer this place over anything mainly because of its location. very suitable for me. & its nearby Safeway… for my family could do grocery while I got pampered…
Very friendly staff… especially the person who took care of me… in a very timely manner. I made reservations… so no waiting… Good price too…

Recently visited Khoobsurat, Rivermark and got a fine service done after a long time. Thanks to ‘Karima’ for giving me a good & satisfied experience with Threading & Waxing services. I used to come here before for the same services and get them done with Salon’s other staff (don’t remember their name) and was not greatly satisfied. Finally, found the right attendant for me.
Service — Karima did a fabulous job on my eyebrows. When it comes to facial care, I’m usually careful and can’t easily convince myself if it gets bad. Thankfully, I got my eyebrows shaped perfect right on my 1^st try with her. And she did a decent job on waxing too. She also gave useful skin care suggestions and tips which I really appreciate it.
Ambience — This salon maintain their service areas neat & clean. Pleasant ambience for sure.
Price — From my experience with other salons in the bay area, this place is definitely expensive, almost double the cost what others charge.
Reception staff — Staff at the reception could be more welcoming. I’ve seen different staff every time. Some staff were attentive and some were not. Those unfriendly staff don’t even give a stand by response to customers waiting in line.
Overall — I still recommend this salon as I’ve not entirely got a bad service till date. Will come again to check their other services.

Said I wanted a clean up and got half of my eyebrows taken off. Going to take months to get back to normal.

This place says its open up to 8pm but even if you come at 7:30 and they have enough people inside they kick you out. I have wasted my time driving to this place twice. Its not worth the ambience. I have been to many better places who treat customers well and take them in even if they come sharp 7:59.

I have always had a good experience here. I have gone to other threading salons, and I really like the people here. Their prices are reasonable. I had my whole face done (neck and «sideburns» included) for $ 35. The ladies there are quite personable.
Note: If you are considering threading for the first time, I would trust them. I have had waxing on my face (upper lip, chin, and neck usually) for 20 years and have always had problems from acne breakouts to chemical burns. I have very sensitive skin. I do have some acne after, but nothing even close to waxing! I hope you have a great appointment.

Not a bad place for threading. Took 1 star away because the person they had to my upper lip had no idea what they were doing and took over20 minutes just to do that. Next, when you walk in its a great nicely decorated and kept place… But there was a lady (seems like 1 of the employees) sitting in one of the chairs with her sunglasses on and mean mugging… Gave the business a very ghetto feeling. Hopefully the experience will be better next time to update the review.

This place has the worst customer service ever. The girl who used to do my eyebrows is suddenly only «managing» the place. My second choice has been doing someone’s eyebrows for half an hour and just chatting away. It’s supposed to take 5 minutes. They have hired all these new people who don’t know what they are doing. One of them gave me a bad rash.

This review is for Farnaz. I was in this salon last week for hair coloring. Farnaz is a hair stylist/​artist professional there. I truly loved my hair color. She knows the colors very well. She carefully listen to you and care about what you want.

Sorry had to update the rating AGAIN — because the customer service on the phone for this place is extremely rude and Tina supposedly NO longer is available for waxing or facials.
I don’t know if this is true but I hope the owner realizes that other ladies who work here are totally messing up her business.
Now I see ads in the paper for discounts at this Khoobsurat location. I think Momma-​bear from the Sunnyvale location needs to come here and get this straightened out.

She is the only person I go to see. i googles this place 5 years I use to drive from Sacramento just because she does such a great job. she listens to what you want and is a perfectionist

The salon itself is well maintained and quite plush. I think the pricing is pretty much the same that I find in many other threading salons. I have just tried threading services here and on all occasions by Surjit. She does a good job.
I take one star off for the staff continuously talking to each other, and it can get irritating when they talk while threading.
Also, the first time I was there I was annoyed that the lady at the front desk asked me if I wanted to add a tip. Then I found out that they swipe your card for the exact amount (the charge + tip) when they swipe.

I’m pretty convinced I will NOT be returning to this salon to get waxed ever again.
First of all, if you’re going to charge $ 20 for half arms, $ 15 for under arms and $ 30 for half leg then you should be able to afford disposable spatulas and not use one spatula to double dip. It’s freaking disgusting.
Instead of spending all that money on décor, I would rather be in a salon that has invested in hygiene.
The lady (Surjit) who did my wax was sweet but she didn’t check the wax temperature before scalding my under arm skin. Seriously, it’s under arm– so you know how delicate the skin over there is.
The front desk girl (Tina) had absolutely no customer service. When I’m paying, I don’t need you to ask me «do you want to leave a tip?» It’s customer service 101.
They also did break a LOT of State Board Requirements. Your waxer has to be a licensed aesthetician and they have to have their license hung up in the wax room. That was nowhere to be seen.
Also, in any salon, your trash has to be covered and labeled which these guys didn’t have either. But obviously if you’re ripping people off then I guess they can afford to ignore these things.

I’ve been coming Khoobsurat for my threading needs for quite a while (to the Sunnyvale location before they opened this one), and as long as Tina is working here, I can’t see myself going anywhere else.
The only qualm I have is that sometimes, depending on who helps you, you might experience someone talking to a co-​worker while working close-​range on your face. Which means it’s quite loud. Like someone yelling in your ear.
Four stars because despite the loud chit-​chat, they’re inexpensive and do a fantastic job.

Obviously very clean and spacious. Rates are the same as those at Sunnyvale branch, except threading. But since this place is new, there’s a 10% discount on all services for the first month. Very tempting, isn’t it?
Went in for eyebrows. Wasn’t disappointed.
Definitely coming back, now that it’s SO close!
