I’ve been a customer for over ten years. Gary is always helpful and knowledgeable. Gary will try find the cheapest way to ship or mail. I have deliveries sent to his location. Never had any problems with shipments or deliveries. Located on the back side of shopping center. Near the Starbucks.

The most efficient post office I have ever visited! I drive by three post offices to go there!

Had a bad experience when I went today to get some information on a parcel I had to mail. The guy at the counter was busy attending to a customer who was there before me so I patiently waited for my turn.
When my turn came, the guy at the counter was very rude to me and wasn’t ready to answer any questions unless he saw the package I had to send. Even when I was standing in front of him talking to him, he said he was busy and wanted to attend the next customer behind me. The store wasn’t even crowed at that time.
Very pathetic customer service. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to use their services.

The man working here knows just how to exploit the customer.
I have been here 3 times and each experience has been worse than the last. On my third and final trip I realized the employee working here overcharged for everything. I went in with 4 items with usps tracking codes. All four of my items are now lost and this man is the problem. His attempt at being a third party mailing packages for you is a failure of an attempt. His envelopes were expensive and he charged me for them and for a used, medium Amazon box. The box came out to $ 18! Most establishments will either give you a free box (usps) or a relatively cheap, new box.
The man then asked for my debit and didn’t tell me there was a debit fee before typing it into his iPad and swiping my card. The lack of options given to me should have been the huge eye opener before I paid. This man knew I was supposed to get free shipping and free packaging at usps but worked quickly and quietly enough to ensure he took my money without me knowing what exactly was going on.
Do not come here. This is a shady, third rate business run by people who don’t care for you. Go to a professional establishment and save yourself money. I left here feeling disrespected and taken advantage of and do not want other people to feel the same way. Another reviewer said to do your homework before coming here and I agree. This establishment is run on greed with horrible customer service. Frankly they do not care about you or your package. Instead their aim is to find the most ways to take advantage of you and swindle the most money out of you.

Went there to ship a letter to Vancouver and asked for options. He gave me a few options. 20 for usps priority mail (4 – 5 biz days), 70 something for fedex fast, ~40 for FedEx slow (~3 biz days). He gave me some time to think about it so I went on fedex website and found out that I can do fedex international ground for 20 bucks (3days). So I told him I want to do fedex international ground and he started doing stuff on his computer, and told me that he doesn’t see that option. So I asked «you don’t do fedex international ground?» Then he goes yeah I see it now. Next thing you know he says I would have to pay him 50 bucks as he needs to hire 3^rd party custom clearing. I got the hell out of there and went to fedex and shipped it for 23 bucks after tax. 3 days.
Do your homework before you go. Dude is shady.

Charged us $ 10 for handling for a DHL package that was prepaid and ready to go. Called DHL and they said there should not have been a charge.
I went to visit and the owner said he doesn’t care what DHL says and if I did a chargeback he would sue me.
Definitely not the way to do business. Misrepresent a $ 10 charge as being a DHL fee when it isn’t.
Opened a ticket with DHL corporate and they are investigating this branch

Just needed to drop off packages and they kindly took them. Even though I didn’t buy anything. I will be back to buy my shipping needs in the future. That was fantastic customer service!

The location shares the same area as a barber shop. The barbershop faces Washington and the mail service faces the parking lot. Very friendly service, quick and easy!

Mr. Mehra is very friendly and will go out of the way to get get your package ready for delivery. The only reason I choose this centre is the «Service». Highly recommended.

Snail mail is slow enough to begin with, and I despise the long lines at the Post Office. So what’s a guy to do when they have to send something? Go to the Mailing Service Center on Washington St. in Santa Clara!
It’s quick, super easy (no matter how complex the package or mail you are sending), and friendly service to boot! I’ve been a loyal customer since 1999.

gary is friendly including if you don’t have the tape for the box he just does it for you. been going for year, best post office in the san jose area.

I stopped in here today to send a large heavy envelope.
I was in and out in 30 seconds.

This place is a jewel. The proprietor, Gary, is unfailingly helpful and wonderful to deal with. He will tell you the least expensive (and also the best; may NOT be least expensive) way to send packages — USPS, UPS, or FedEx. I have always found him to be generous, even suggesting once (when I thought I could not find my checkbook) that I could «pay him next time.» And there will always be, for me, a next time. No lines, cheerful service, informed options (instead of a single choice). And if I needed tape, and he charged me for it, I’d gladly pay. After all, he had to pay for it. Sort of like — I’d pay for the ability to avoid those Post Office lines, wouldn’t I?
Also stamps and copying available, and parking is never a problem either.

I thought I needed two signatures, but Gary said I only needed one and a .10 cent copy. This saved me $ 8. An honest and friendly place to do business.

I have been using this mailing center for over 10 years and have always received the best service. When I was doing newsletters, Gary stamped and mailed them for me. When I have a package to send, Gary helps me tape it (at no extra charge) and gives me advice on the best way to ship. I was in there today to ship a package that I had questions about, and came away feeling good with the advice I received. I agree with John N. Gary goes out of his way to help the customers.

The only reason I went to this place was because they stay open until 6pm on weekdays, while the nearest post offices closed at 5pm at the latest. However, as of last week, I’ve decided to never come back. The reason is because the guy (Gary) tried to charge me for a single piece of tape. Who does that?! I have used their services maybe 4 – 5 times, but now, because of his petty attitude, I’m never coming back.

I’ve used this place for a number of years, and have always been happy with the level of service they provide.
If you need advice on how to ship something, or help with packaging or more, either Gary (the gentleman with the glasses in the photo gallery here) or others there will assist you as much as possible.
All necessary mailing and shipping forms are available, and a number of different packaging products are also sold here. They also sell some of the newest postal stamps (such as the collector’s series that the USPS releases every year) and they also sell postcards.
If you have your packages all ready to go (labeled etc) you can also drop them off here. This location accepts both US Postal Mail and UPS items.

Being a customer of Gaurang’s (aka «Gary») for roughly 20 years, I’ve had plenty of time to form an opinion him and his service level: consistently high level… professional, but friendly and flexible. Kinda like most teachers, I’m sure he doesn’t get paid nearly enough! If you’d like a break from the long lines and «efficiency» :) of the regular post office, Gaurang’s Mailing Service Center will be an oasis that gives you ALL the shipping options available… and some neat extra stuff too.
