Specialties

Sari and Michael have provided happy entertainers for more than 25 years, always looking to find that special person to bring fun and excitement for your exceptional event. Your first impression should be special and we always look for that special someone to give your child the excitement of a life time. Krissie and Corbin are a youthful team of entertainers who have been with us for more than three years.

I’ve never known a kid to sit for more than 15 minutes. That is why we play games like tug-o-war and Parachute and chasing bubbles. We don’t want winners, only happy players. It is mostly a chance for the kids to get up and run around. Sometimes we’ll even add a show where the kids get to play with puppets.

Many entertainers we hire are college students from the Santa Cruz area, and they would love to bring smiles and laughs to your show.

History

Established in 1985.

In l985, Sari Mitchell found an add for a prospective clown. The audition was a success and she placed another performing feather in her cap behind TV, radio and lecture circuit successes. Check out Sari Mitchell on Bing and the books she’s published. According to Sari, «Learning magic was a challenge as few women were welcome to wear the black tuxedo and top hat. I literally had to sneak about watching magicians ply their trade inspiring me to do my own tricks including my pet bunny, guninea pig and dove. Also original facepaint designs, balloon animals, games and costumes.» From her first ad in Bay Area Parent, to her TV show on Twitter, and at least l200 parties each year in between, Sari and her husband have created puppet shows, holiday shows, unique magic, ever changing facepaint, with constant attention to the safety, and happiness of children.

Always the clown, when I was five I started giving tap dance shows, wearing mom’s clothes and making my bro pull a make shift curtain open and closed. It never stopped with ballet, highschool musicals, college stage shows and, even with four children, a daily TV show on WFLD in the loop (Chicago) that was nominated for a local Emy. On to Hollywood and a talk show at the Brown Derby, plus a comedy costarring Bill Dana and myself. Twenty four years ago, I discovered Santa Cruz and did it all again, with the delight of becoming a clown. When I met my husband, Michael, he set aside his contracting business to join me in the merriment. Over the years, we’ve changed a lot of what Most Unique Parties and Ponies Inc. provides in kid’s entertainment, but always remembered that being a kid at heart is prime.
