Recognized for Over 30 Yrs of Classical Ballet Training. The Santa Clara Ballet School offers classical ballet training for students ages 3 years to Adult. The primary goal of the School is to provide excellent training for those aspiring for a a professional career in dance. For the past 39 years, students have received professional, quality instruction combined with personal attention, and many have fulfilled their goals for professional careers in dance. A significant feature of the school is the individual attention and personal corrections given to students so that they can fully develop their full potential, regardless of their goal to pursue a professional career or not.

Santa Clara Ballet School, the official School of the Santa Clara Ballet Company, offers classical ballet training for students ages 3 years to Adult. For the past 40 years, students have received professional, quality instruction combined with personal attention, and many have fulfilled their goals for professional careers in dance. A significant feature of the school is the individual attention and personal corrections given to students so that they can fully develop their full potential, regardless of their goal to pursue a professional career or not.
Santa Clara Ballet School provides students the valuable opportunity to participate in the Santa Clara Ballet Company’s full-length productions with seasoned professionals serving as role models. The experience of performing plays a vital role in the dancer’s development.

Business Owner
Josefa Villanueva-Reyes was initially trained in the Philippines with Roberta and Ricardo Cassell (a student of Vincenzo Celli). She was formerly a member of the San Francisco Ballet Company and the San Francisco Opera Ballet, and a principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet Celeste. She taught at the San Francisco Conservatory of Ballet and Theatre Arts as well as San Jose City College. Her teaching experience is enriched with classes from well known teachers in Russia and New York City and has a Vaganova Certificate. The Isadora Duncan Dance Awards honored Villanueva-Reyes with its Sustained Achievement Award for her work with the Santa Clara Ballet and for offering instruction and training in classical ballet and performance opportunities for children and Bay Area professional dancers.
