Terrible service Everything else is good. Food is good. Beer is good. But really turned off by the people who operate behind the bar and register. Newsflash: customer service actually does matter! Doesn’t have to be perfect, but shouldn’t be horrific. It’s not busy here at the time I arrive. First attempt to get a beer I’m standing 1 foot to the right of a stoic a-hole who won’t acknowledge my existence until I speak up(like I’m just standing there for my health). Then once contact is made he won’t look me in the eye and looks past me while we are talking like I just offended his mother and he has to hold his tongue for fear of losing his job if he reacts. I ask for suggestions about a beer and his answer is «I dont drink beers from that brewery». Ok pompous a-hole! Thanks again for nothing!! Finally I get thru the agony of my order with that guy and sit down to wait for my food. During the meal my girl asks if she can get a side of the hot sauce on my salad(traditional) so I go back up to make that simple request. I purposefully avoid the first guy and wait for the girl. She approaches me at the counter while looking past me and says«sup»? Ok… did I offend everyone’s mother today? Seriously, I don’t complain about service. I always make excuses for people and give them the benefit of the doubt. But I can’t ignore this crap. If the owner cares at all about the service of his/her business, both the people working on afternoon of 6÷25÷16 are promoted to customer.

ORDER wings on wings on wings got them IPA too . bacon n wings sliders . spicy . It’s getting harder and harder to remember places you’ve been when there’s so much going on in between. I do remember a game going on. I do remember not caring because of the teams. I do remember the wings were spicier than I thought and were pretty good. Beers on tap was a decent selection as well. O yes, now i remember. we were watching some team try to pummel the Steelers. a field goal away from doing it too. Terrible towel. terrible fans. but not terrible taste. This place was kinda cool for our large group of 12

Wings were big and juicy. Had the honey BBQ, plain and Thai wings. They put a ton of sauce on the wings. I f you dont like them drowning in sauce as for it on the side. Make sure they give you the right rance or blue cheese last 2 times they give me ranch instead of blue cheese

This place is WAY over priced for the quality and quantity of food. I ordered a western burger that barely had any barbecue sauce on it, when I asked for more barbecue sauce on the side they wanted to charge me for it, the hamburger patty was dry, it said on the menu basket of fries but instead the fries were served on a little plate, the wings were OK do yourself a favor and go to hooters for some good wings, and two fountain drinks all together $ 34! Do yourself a favor and go to Inn n Out burger, better cheeseburgers and better price.

So overcrowded you can’t walk from the front door to the bathroom without going outside and around to the other door. Been waiting a half hour to have the table cleared from the last guests. Loud AF don’t come to hang and talk to friends.

Smoke eaters is a good spot to go after work to watch the games, eat some wings, and drink some beers. Big selection of micro-brews. I went there 3 nights in a row and had the Buffalo Tender Salad. On the other nights I had wings and sweet potatoe fries. So goooooood and they give you a good portion of food. The staff was friendly and prices are reasonable. Patrons are nice too. I was down on business and appreciated my time there. I’ll definitely go back.

We have been here a few times and it is OK. Their hot sauces are made with a sweet base, so we are not that fond of them. Otherwise the food is pretty decent, and we go when we are in the mood for something different than our regular haunts.

After a night of bowling my best friend and I decided to hit up this place as per recommendation of one of her friends. The ordering process is pretty easy the food came out in a reasonable time and the food was tasty. They even gave us extra wings which is why they got an extra star.

All Smoke Eaters restaurants are a 5 star for me. I’ve never had a bad service experience here, even showing up at closing time they’re super nice. Help you with your order. And the wings are literally the best. I havent seen competition. Drinks kinda overpriced tho haha. Highly recommend!

Check # 319233 ordered the«Traditional Death» Wings and every time I order them, they just make it even better. Remember, think before you order this and level up, it might burn. Though last year I successfully ate their Inferno Chicken Tenders with ease and that could be because being an Asian Indian, spicy food runs in our blood Very nice place to hangout for Beer and Wings especially during weekends and game days 5 wings would cost you under $ 7.50 but the wings are definitely worth it… go for it

Save your money and skip this place! Maybe it’s what we ordered or maybe it was an off day who knows but the chicken tenders we NASTY. They were so dry and overcooked and then had so much sauce on them I could hardly find them. Also got the atomic sauce that was not spicy at all? It was literally just bbq sauce. The mozzarella sticks had water or oil dripping out from the middle when you bit into them! Discussing. The only good thing was the beer and maybe it’s because they didn’t cook it. On top of everything else it’s expensive. Worst worst lunch I have ever had!

We ordered 5 wings option from Menu and also Onion rings. We were asked the option of sauce on the wings or on the side. We chose on the side. When we came home and sat down to eat there was no sauce on the side and there was no ranch with the order of wings. Onion rings were fine though. We won’t be coming back here.

Ordered take-out from here during the afternoon of the Superbowl. I’ve also eaten in before a couple of times at this location. I think I also like the Cupertino location more than this one. But I don’t think I’m coming back anytime soon even though this is the closest wing joint /sports bar to where I live. Problems: 1. They jacked my order… didn’t get my garlic fries that I ordered and paid for. 2. Garlic wings… not real great. Kind of weird. 3. Value just isn’t there… it’s too expensive for what you get. Redeeming qualities… 1. Honey BBQ wings are great. 2. Nice bite-sized, cut pieces of celery(more convenient than full stalks). 3. Beer selection is not bad. Sorry, Smoke Eaters, it was good at one point in recent memory, but now it’s nothing special.

Overly crowded place to eat lunch, no where to sit at all. The food is not good at all, i got a 5 piece mild winds and the mild sauce tasted really sweet. Maybe they got the wrong sauce or is this just how it is. The fries were only served as a child’s handful, 3.00 really! Ill stick with Wing Stop for my wings.

You guys close at 12AM, but act like little bitches when we come in at 11PM. You close in ONEHOUR and that’s what time your suppose to close. So why you gotta stand behind the kitchen and mug the customers? I would understand if it was the last 20⁄30 minutes, but again. ITWASANHOURBEFORECLOSING. And plus, we called at 10:30 a few times to order for pick up but nobody want to pick up the phone. Rude workers. No stars for the service.

It’s fried chicken. Fried makes everything better. Wayyyyyy Too much celery. More than enough to make a rabbit on steroids happy. But a Meat eater unhappy and ready for an In and out burger next-door. The blue cheese is like liquid salty sauce with no hint of blue cheese or chunks of blue cheese. Mystery white sauce. Bleh. I’m hungry still.

If you’re looking for a large beer selection with a selection of wings from traditional to fuego, this is your spot. I get atomic. Not too hot. The music is loud but I don’t mind it at all. Flat screens all over the place. Oh yeah! It’s a great place to hang out with friends or family. The employees are friendly. I wouldn’t say excellent customer service but I have no complaints.

It’s pretty loud here and the food isn’t great but it’s conveniently located in the movie theater plaza so if popcorn didn’t cut it or you want to grab a beer it might be worth stopping by. They have several TVs and quite a few beers to choose from. I can’t comment on the garlic fries because they mistakenly gave us curly fries instead and they were nothing special, no different than Jack in the Box. Same for the tater tots, which were pretty bland and no better than what you pick up from the frozen aisle. The wings were a little dry but the sauces help with that. I was actually more impressed with the chicken tenders. They are made of actual chicken pieces rather than pressed meat and didn’t taste as though they’d been reheated. The spices range from spicy to sweet. The few we tried were pretty decent. I wasn’t crazy about the mango habanero personally as I found the flavor balance to be off. All in all, I won’t be back but I figured I should check it out since we were in the plaza.

Smoke eaters is an awesome place, it’s at a great spot where you can eat before the movies. However, I do believe that the customer service can use some work. Everyone was great except one person. When asked«How many tenders are in a salad» she replied«Read the menu» I felt that it was a bit rude. Nonetheless, I would eat here again. It’s a clean, affordable and a convenient wing fix. The salads are my favorite as well as the 3 piece tenders. check em out.

Smoke Eaters is THE place to eat, drink some beers, n watch some sports games on TV in Santa Clara. we were bent on watching the Patriots vs. Broncos game last Sunday so we searched for a place to meet our friend. Smoke Eaters was the place we picked cuz it was in the middle of our homes n they have A LOT of large sized TVs on every wall. it is located on Mission College Blvd. in the same plaza as AMC20 Mercado so the parking is never an issue there.(might b tight at night when ppl r there watching movies.) the ordering there is fast n simple. they have a one page menu with everything they make n there’s also a Specials menu board behind the front counter. after u order n pay, they give u a pager so u will b alerted when the food is ready. all the food we ordered was delicious n filling.(partly cuz of the beers.) the beers they had were all good too. compared to other places, they cost a bit less. there was a lot of ppl there just for watching the game(Patriots lost. wahahaha) so it got loud n pretty crowded after a while. that’s fun if u r into the game. there were also ppl coming in who just stood around waiting for tables to empty. it’s not a super large restaurant like Yard House so it’s better to get there early if u want to watch a specify game. Buffalo Tender Salad: this was presented in a HUGE bowl. we shared this between 3 ppl. it’s definitely a good mix of Buffalo Wings n salad. worth the low price for sure! Basket of Tator Tots: these were on the Specials board. I love Tator Tots so these were a no brainer! u really can’t make these wrong. it was a pretty large sized portion. 10 Wingers(Mango Habanero, Honey Honey BBQ): u can pick 2 flavors for a 10 piece. the Mango Habanero is perfectly spicy while the Honey Honey BBQ is sweet n sticky. u really need A LOT of napkins for these wings. they r large sized also. not the tiny kind.

Rainy Saturday evening not very crowded and it took me 15 mins to get assistance and I was AT the bar! I finally got fed up and walked over to where everyone was standing around at the register and asked if I could get some assistance. If this establishment wasn’t apart of SF Beer week and they didn’t have Goose Island Bourbon County stout on tap I would have left.

Smoke eaters will always have a special place in my heart since I always visited Cluck U next to Santa Clara University. And things seemed to have stayed the same since the name change. I love Tuesdays because 85 cent wings might be my favorite thing about Tuesdays. I usually do take out for their wings, but eating in is a great idea. There’s a ton of TVs and beers on tap. Their original line of spicy sauces will always be classic, and I appreciate that they’ve branched out and offer new sauces.

I’m not a huge fan of wings, couldn’t tell you if they’re good or not, but I’m a big fan of beer, and the beer list here is exceptional. It’s unfortunate that they have things like bud, but there’s a good dozen taps of other stuff. Mostly toward heavily hopped west cost beers, but a few stranger things like sours. If you have a friend who likes beers and hates sportsbars, but you like sportsbars and don’t care about fancy beers, here’s finally a place that blends. Have your cake and eat it too !

The squad and I were on a mission to simultaneously watch the Sharks, Warriors and NFL Playoffs, so the bf and his coworker suggested this spot. Located inside of the AMC Mercado Shopping Center Plaza, this Smoke eaters is definitely better than the one in downtown. Their setup allows for larger groups to sit together. I also appreciate their large selection of tap beer. Though we were bummed that after having one glass of Grapefruit Sculpin, the keg tapped out, we did enjoy the Sierra Nevada Tropical IPA. As for the food, we enjoyed their garlic fries and naked tenders with a side of Asian zing and nuclear sauce. Though the garlic fries were greasy as hell, they were still tasty. The chicken tenders were on point though. Overall, if you’re seeking a great option for some greasy food, craft beers and lots of tvs to watch your favorite sports then definitely make your way here.

What? 3 stars? Lies! I love everything about this place — and I’ve introduced multiple people to it who ALL feel the same way. Each has been back after discovering this deliciousness. Their sauces are SOGOOD. As are the tenders. And the salads. And the selection of beer. And the ambiance for games. And the staff. What’s not to like? They earned 5 stars in my book. What else could I want? Well… a veggie substitute for the tenders. But maybe that would be too much amazingness in one place. Try it. You’ll love it unless your taste buds are dead.

My co workers and I went here yesterday for dinner. I immediately noticed that it wasn’t as packed as the downtown location, which is kind of good for me because I like having my space and two there wasn’t any annoying obnoxious college kids being annoying loud next to me. I ordered my wings and went to the table. I like their WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE selections of beer. Food came out within 10 minutes. It was nice cooked and a little crispy. I like crispy. I haven’t been to a smoke eaters over 3 years and its even better then it was before. Good job smoke eaters keep up the good work

Great place to grab wings, beer, and catch a game. It can get pretty rowdy and loud. I typically grab the Gilroy Garlic chicken sandwich which has lots of garlic and cheese, oily, but pretty tasty. Their fries are just okay.

I had the garlic wings and fries with barbeque. Quite tasty. When I walked in I heard Nas playing. Then they went to Biggie then Reasonable Doubt Jay Z. Props on the music. I don’t hear these tracks in LA. I have no problem with the wings being too soggy. Love the 49ers memorabilia. The fries were a bit soggy tho. If I want soggy fries I’ll go to In and out!

While we were at the Mercado theaters, we stopped into Smoke Eaters to grab some food before our movie started. Since the restaurant just opened up, we didn’t encounter much lines or much of a wait. We ordered a bunch of wings and beer. The cashier was good to make recommendations on the beer and helped us with our wing area. The wings were tasty and beer was good. No complaints so I’m a happy wing eater.

Not sure why the mixed reviews. To me these are the best wings you can get in the Bay Area. The Traditional sauce is the way to go. The wings are very tender and meaty. Definitely better than Buffalo Wild Wings by far. Highly recommend this place. Make sure you try out the traditional sauce. It’s addictive.

Came in for some fries and the free entertainment lmao, they had many TV’s broadcasting NFL and in HD quality. It was kind of busy at the time(12PM) Sunday, and everyone was watching the game. I ordered a side of fries with two sides of hot sauce. The Inferno was definitely hot and completely masked the flavor of the fries. However, the atomic was tangy and sweet. Not overly spicy at all. Fries were cooked right and crispy, salted well. Place is clean and staff is always picking up plates /cleaning the tables. Overall, I will come back to try out their veggie burger sometime in the future. Also, I don’t recommend getting inferno sauce, since it masks everything. If you prefer to not enjoy your food, be my guest. I’ll stick to atomic.

Lots of mixed reviews here, as far as wings go, I enjoy this place a lot. The wings themselves are huge and meaty, I have gotten several different flavors and have never been turned off by one. The music is super chill and always has a reggae flare to it. Who ever the man is that works at the bar gives the best advice on his beers on tap and offers samples before you purchase.
