Mr. Hwang is very professional and accommodating. From location-​scouting to capturing kodak moments, his expertise and talent shines! The albums he produces are absolutely gorgeous, and I would definitely recommend him for all your photography needs!

First things first. I’m not one who likes to pose and have my picture taken… and neither are any of my family members. We are not a family of models, unfortunately.
Nonetheless, my parents wanted to invest in a professional photo shoot so that they could hang up a gigantic frame of the Kim family in the living room and send a few copies to our relatives back in Korea. This was back in July when it was nearing 90 degrees outside and I had an endless number of plans with friends. So, taking several hours out of a precious summer day was not appealing to me. Not to mention, the last photo shoot I participated in was for high school senior portraits, and I came out looking like a !@#$… (I’ve destroyed all photographic evidence.) I was not excited.
However, Mr. Hwang made the experience bearable. Maybe a little fun, even. In fact, the entire process was relatively quick and painless. I’m guessing we didn’t spend too much time together because Mr. Hwang is skilled with his fancy cameras and has an innate ability to turn away cheesy poses and instead suggest ones that look natural and effortless. He also made sure that my parents were satisfied with the outcome of the shoot, and the photos themselves were of great quality. Best of all, I didn’t end up looking like an ogre! Hurray!
Oh, and the prices (which differ by package) were affordable, and definitely worth the results.
All in all, highly recommended!

So glad to have found Mr. Hwang at Studio Memories to complete the task of photographing my family! (its a struggle to get my family to take pictures haha) He was very understanding with what we wanted and the outcome of the pictures were awesome. I was very impressed at the first moment when I walked in. He showed me lots of photo book samples I would say that’s exactly what I wanted. He is very professional and kind. He has not only good school back ground but also tons of experience.
We shoot photos at a nearby university and at the wedding/​reception on the same day. Both at the campus and at the wedding/​reception, he just knew all the scenarios of what’s next. During the photo shooting, he mentioned that certain location and position will be the highlight of the day, and he was right. Later, both my husband and I agreed and framed that very photo.
After the wedding, he gave us just in a couple of days the DVD of almost a thousand photos. We were also happy with the excellent arrangement and quality of our wedding photo book.
Both thumbs up!!! My husband and I are so glad that we made a good choice on our big day!!!

Mr Hwang is a talented photographer. He knew perfect places to shoot our engagement photos in SF, and he made all photos available to us on the same day. I saw him running around and working diligently on our wedding day. I am very satisfied with all my wedding pictures, not to mention price break on our wedding photo package. I even used his photos when I got to interview with SF Chronicles on getting married on 12/​12/​2012. Mr Hwang is an easy going yet hard working photographer who can capture memories to cherish.

I had my graduation portraits taken by Mr. Hwang and I was really satisfied! I scheduled a last minute appointment and he was kind enough to fit me into his busy schedule. His wedding package prices were very reasonable compare to other studios. Also, unlike many other studios he didn’t have any hidden costs and delivered what he promised and some more.

Perhaps the best kept secret in photography in the Bay Area — Mr. David Hwang is top notch!!!
Firstly, the quality of his work is beyond reproach — his patience, skill and experience are incredible. We came upon him upon our search for a wedding photographer from the community and we were astonished about how smoothly things went with him.
He worked completely around our complex schedule and had his own recommended sites to do the outdoor wedding shoot; he was punctual and could not have done a more fine job. Clearly he has been at this for a while and the album came out first class… as it did for that of our wedding!
Mr. Hwang worked extremely hard at our wedding and we could not have been more pleased with him. He took so many pictures, it seemed like there were two of him!
The pricing was excellent and you’ll find your resources well spent on him. He is a terrific honest man who wants to do an outstanding job for you — it just doesn’t get much better than him!
My wife and I did some comparative shopping prior to meeting with him and we were so pleased we went with him.
In closing I would just add that he is from overseas and it is helpful if one of you is of Korean extraction for communication purposes, but it is not a necessity.

We had a wedding picture from Studio Memories and recommended by my youngest sister. We couldn’t take the outdoor pictures during the weekdays because of my busy schedule but he was very kind to work on Sunday for us.
We, my wife and I, were really SATISFIED with his professional work and even the price of the whole wedding picture package. The time and effort he was putting on and the result of wedding book and frame work were really OUTSTANDING~!!!
We had a great time while we are taking the outdoor pictures, but little nervous on our wedding day. I didn’t even know how many pictures we had been taking especially on wedding day. After we had the final wedding picture book and frame, our jaw was dropping for his good work.
We are planning to take another picture session with him for my SON. He will be one year old pretty soon. Cannot wait~!!! We are going to have another good photo shoot day and we will be one satisfied happy family one more time~!!!
