Food drinks dancing, it’s crazy. Love my girls for taking me out when I’m stressed about family, friends, dumb boys, and just stupid shit not worth being upset over. BYEFELICIAAAAS. PS: Want something worth the trouble? Uh, just write a lovely and honest review and you’ll be rewarded with something amazing! It tastes quite good! It’s green, it might be REPTOR from Rugrats or kale juice.

This is a crooked establishment and management does not care. I was cheated by a female bartender. I tried contacting management multiple times and but they could care less. I think my next step is going to the better business bureau. The staff was very unhelpful and unprofessional. I got cheated and when I stood up for myself I got my neck pulled on and hat knocked off by the bouncers. I told the bouncers about my hat and they were negligent to retrieve it. They also refused to let me talk to management. I called multiple times to report to the owner the incident and left an email for the owner and never got a response back. This place definitely lacks class and management. I don’t know how this place can still be in business when they do not take responsibility for their actions.

They should change the name of the club to distasteful. Worst experience ever. You couldn’t get me anywhere near this place even if everything was free. I would not give them a single star if I could. I was never treated worse in my life by the staff, bouncers, and management than any other establishment I been to in all my 33 years. One bad event followed by another. Due to their staff. A bartender lied and said I did not pay for the drinks I paid for. When I stood up for myself and said I did. She started raising her voice and making a scene. The bouncers came over and I explained that the bartender was lying and robbing me but they chose to believe her. The female bartender gave a smug look as the bouncer grabbed me by my neck and escorted me outside when he could of just asked me to step outside. In the process my new 30 dollar hat that I just got from out of state was lost in the process of the bouncer grabbing my neck. I asked to speak to the manager and the bouncers refused to let me talk with the manager. I made a quick video as a memo and the big bald black bouncer with an attitude problem grabbed my phone out of my hand. I wasn’t even in the club at this time. I called the phone number to report the problem and I didn’t get any response back. I also wrote to report the incident to their email address and I did not get any acknowledgement. I would never return to this horrible place. I would be ashamed to own such a crooked joint. Double thumbs down!!! Update. One week later and still no word from management. They obviously don’t care about the customers or the obnoxiousness of the way the customers are treated. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this distasteful place.

The taster menu is cool. I recommend coming here with a few friends whose down to drink will be fun. This place is kind of hidden though.

Taste… we used to be pals, but oh, how you’ve let me down. I’ve been to Taste multiple times — ranging from maybe two years back to recent times. It was a really solid venue for happy hour — convenient location(really out of place spot, but in close proximity to many tech companies), decent happy hour, solid food, clean/chic décor, and two nice patio areas. Strangely, there aren’t a lot of good happy hour spots within a less than 10 mile radius and somehow I discovered Taste. I spread the word to coworkers/friends about this«secret» place(everyone seems to only know about Pedro’s, St. John’s, Parcel 104, Faultline, etc), so we would frequent this spot for after work drinks and appetizers. Fast forward to recent times — no more happy hour. Say wuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?! With their location secluded and many other establishments in prime areas offering happy hour, why on Earth would you banish your happy hour? I almost choked on my water when all the food menu items were $ 10+. No drink specials. What a bummer. We tried to order fries(not on the menu, but they had it before) — initially we were told they don’t offer it(huh), but they made a one time exception and fried us up a batch. This was the beginning of the end for my relationship with Taste. Oh, as they were pouring my beer from the tap, they ran out. Another ding — but at least they salvaged it by giving me a ¾ full glass on the house. Sigh. They also changed their seating structure — folks who aren’t eating dinner will either need to sit in the patio areas or at the bar. We were stuck sitting outside in the semi-cold. Needless to say, it wasn’t a good experience for us. On the bright side — our server was adorable and really patient. Unfortunately, I don’t think he was well trained or had much experience in the service industry. We had a larger group, and the place only had a few other customers around, but he had a hard time keeping up. We didn’t order an excessive amount of stuff, but the wait time for appetizers/drinks was longer than expected. I heard there have been some management changes. I don’t think I’ll be coming back — no happy hour, expensive menu items, no fries, and restrictive seating. I hope the owners look at the feedback…

It was terrible service despite having no customers other than us and another party. Never checked on us. The happy hour drink menu is non-existant. The only deal is 8 dollars(rather than 10) on some apps. No thanks it’s not worth it. Bring back dollar taco night then MAYBE i’ll consider coming back. It was dead, guys. like… sad dead.

Review is for the nightclub only. The $ 20 cover is a real bummer even if you have guestlist. Not everyone can show up before 10PM. Taste is a very pretty at night if you stay in the restaurant area or around the dance area if you have bottle service. There was nice, calming décor with a few seats and a bed(yes, your buzzed friends can catch some shut eye if they’d like) in our area. If you avoid the dance floor, you can avoid the stuffiness and the mess associated with most night club dance floors. There’s no coat check! I think it would really benefit the people if they had that. The bathrooms were well kept.

Taste nightclub, You can’t pretend to be an amazing club when you can’t even meet those standards.(You act like your shit don’t stink) I would explain the bad experience I had but I’d be wasting my time. To all the security guards, EATSHIT! I hope your business goes down soon.

A disappointing 3.5 overall. 5 stars for the food. 1 star for the failed reservation service. Add ½ star for the table service even after they lost my order and had to restart it, even after the others in my party of 8 had already been served. So I had to host a party on a Tuesday night @ 7PM and needed to make reservations on Monday, when they are closed. So Monday I messaged them my reservation here from Unilocal, left my phone number for them to confirm. I also called them and left a message with the same information. Tuesday comes, they open at 4PM, and by 5PM still no call back, and no message from Unilocal. So I call them. I talk to the manager(?) who states he has no reservation under my name but that they’ll reserve a spot and will set everything up. He gets my name and my time and my party size. So we arrive at just before 7 and guess what? NO reservations on their iPad. NO table set up but plenty of apologies for not getting this arranged. «We’ll get you set up.» Drinks at the bar was fine and our table was set up, orders take from the very nice menu. And I ordered their Paleo Burger, but for some reason they lost my order and while all others at my table were served properly, I was informed after they were served that my order needed to be remade. By the time it came out, nearly everyone at the table had finished their meals(with big thumbs up all around). Thank goodness they had these delicious fresh-made potato chips both at the bar and generously provided at the table that I was NOT able to stop eating. So I was not starved by the time I was served. Thanks to a great cook in the back, the Paleo Burger was excellent; a no-bun juicy burger served on raw baby spinach leaves, topped with sliced avocado and a side of «carrot fries». The carrot fries were not like the sweet potato fries that I thought they’d be, but rather like fry-shaped carrots that were flash fried so that they were still crisp-tender. Excellent. Our table waiter also chose to apologize for not following up on the order sooner and even provided a glass of Cabernet from the bar. His service was otherwise pretty good. All told, the food and the dining was good but could have been better had I known sooner, as the host of the dinner, that Taste was more prepared and that they could have gotten my order right and spared me the awkwardness of eating potato chips while my guests were eating their dinners.

We went in for a late bite… servers and food were very good. We just ordered off of the app menu — scallop roll: excellent /guac: meh /empanadas — excellent /Mac-cheese pretty good. The hot chips that were brought out very good. The troubling thing is the environment… is it a sports bar?(Lots of TVs showing sports — no sound) is it a restaurant? Food is good but environment very casual and bright for the food choices and prices. Seems like they have a severe identity crisis. The dance club attached looked super cool but a little sketchy… only because there was a shit load of bouncers preparing on the outside — for what? — at 10pm when the club was still empty. Seemed a little scary. But it did look cool and the restaurant was good.

Came out to Taste night club for NYE with my friends and was greeted by a very rude security guard at the door named Edris. He was threatening to not let me in for no reason cause he couldn’t take a joke. I was in such a good mood and had high hopes for this place but because of him and ruining my entire mood I have to give this place a one star. The place is nice and great atmosphere but unprofessional staff. Thanks to Edris, I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again.

Came here for a birthday dinner, and found it to be okay. Nothing amazing, and nothing to complain about. Taste restaurant is good for groups, as we were able to be get outdoor seating for a party of over 10. For dinner, food ranges from around $ 12-$ 20. Drinks hover at around $ 10 and up as well. I ordered chicken teriyaki strips with rice and veggies. Others in the group ordered steak, burgers, and pasta. After the restaurant, we hit up the club. No cover fee on Fridays, yay! Overall a good experience-food kind of pricey for what it is, but great club.

********************* 1164 ********************* This review is for the restaurant and bar only, NOT the club. My customers and I have been coming here for Thursday football and I’m loving it. $ 1 taco and happy hour all night long on Thursday night. The veggie, chicken and beef taco, all good. However, they don’t list it anywhere on their menu, you must ask for it. The empanada is also good. Love how they serve you a brown bag of fresh potato chips! LIKE! The service can be hit ore miss. Last Thursday, our server was this Asian guy and I asked him for Pico de Gallo, and my business associate and I repeated 3 times, he still didn’t understand! We flagged him down several times for service. Finally we got attention from our previous server, a Mexican gal that was so wonderful, we will request her next time! Plenty of big screen TVs through out the restaurant and bar, you can watch the SF Giants, football, and Shark at the same time, cool. DJ live on Thursday and it can get so lound that you CAN’T talk to each other!!! They should tone it down just a notch! Well price for happy hour wines and cocktails, 1 of our favorite place to watch football now.

This review is for the restaurant only! I was staying at the Embassy Suites this past weekend after spending a day at Great America and wanted less than anything to go further than the parking lot for dinner, and I’m not talking about Jack in the Box. It was nice that there was a tasty(pun totally intended!) restaurant within walking distance. First of all, the décor was beautiful. I would love for whoever did their décor to do my house. Secondly, our server, Tuan was awesome. So attentive and had great suggestions on wine. He even brought me a free dessert for my birthday! Okay, let’s talk about the food! Five out of six of us dining had the petite surf ‘n’ turf. A 6 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, au jus, and prawns. Everyone practically cleaned their plate because of how delicious it was. Everyone’s steaks were cooked perfectly to order, too. My fiancé got the pesto pasta primavera with prawns(say that three times fast) and that was tasty as well, and a really hefty portion. The wine that we ordered was Tuan’s suggestion and it was an Uppercut cabernet. It went perfectly with the meal! And finally, for dessert, I don’t know if it was crème brulee or flan or cheesecake but DAMN was it tasty! And the ice cream that accompanied it was made in house. Perfect dessert to end the night. If I’m ever back in the area, I would definitely come back again!

Exceptional service. Plenty of parking. Thursday is hh til 10pm and it’s known as tequila night. Plenty of chairs and tables indoor and outdoor for you to mingle with your friends. Flat screen tvs in every angle you look at. Great selection on food and drinks. Bigger bonus: food is delish and the discounted drinks aren’t just the usual house wines, draft beers and boring well drinks… all the cocktails are happy on every hour of happy hour too!!! Oh and they make their own potato chips. yum!

You wanna know where all the cool kids are kicking it at for happy hour… TASTERESTAURANT and Nightclub that’s where BUSTAS!?! The ladies come here decked out with their booty shorts and apple bottom jeans trying very hard to Keep Up With The Kardashians. Then you got the fellas always keepin it fresh to death with their extra medium shirt and as much hair gel as possible to keep the swag level at an all time high that even Fonzie would approve of. Now that I’ve broken down the dress code, let’s talk about the restaurant: ~~~Seating~~~ Outdoor Patio(plenty of comfortable couches and tables to accommodate 40 – 50 peeps) Bar Area(2 – 3 different bar areas, not all the bars are open every night) Dining Area(pretty big, can seat parties from 12 – 15 to as small as 1 if it’s just you and Lonely Larry there for happy hour) ~~~~~~ ~~~Parking~~~ Full Parking lot and some street parking ~~~~~~ ~~~Food&Drinks~~~ Taste Sliders(must have item) Chicken Wings(better than that junk they serve at Hooters) Tacos(only $ 1 on Tequila Thursdays) Handmade Empanadas(so-so) Skinny Fries(damn goodz) Ciroc Passion(drink to die for, damsel in distress good!) ~~~~~~ ~~~Atmosphere~~~ Casual Vibe Mon-Thu Club Vibe Fri-Sun as the DJ turns up the music so you can twerk into the night as this place is open till 2am. #TurnDownForWhat#NotHere#NoWay ~~~Side Note~~~ Also this is one of the few nightclubs where you can keep ordering food almost close to closing. No need to run down the street to McDees or Jack in the Crack, get your Grub a dub dub on at Taste and don’t forget to order them sliders with some Ciroc Passion ~~~~~~

Taste is a great addition to Santa Clara. I have been here twice now and definitely plan to return. It is located in a prime location for lunch, as there are many businesses close by, including mine! Lucky me :) I imagine this place will be a hot spot once the new Niner’s stadium opens up as well. First of all, the décor and the vibe is so modern, everything from the chairs to the HUGE patio is beautiful. The cool teal and brown theme is so aesthetically pleasing. The bar in the restaurant is huge and there are TV’s all around with all of the sports channels going. All of the employee’s are pleasant and happy to be at work. My first visit to Taste was for the Sunday brunch buffet, what a steal! $ 20 bucks for a huge variety of food. I had cinnamon french toast, pork chops, pancakes, hash browns, fruit, different salads, tri tip and so much more! The food was delicious and it was presented very nicely. The chef was in and out of the buffet area making sure everyone was enjoying what was presented. Great customer service! My second visit was for Happy Hour. LOVED It! I think I’ll be back every week. We ordered a ton of food, because everything sounded good. $ 1 steak, chicken or veggie tacos, empanadas, sliders, and three different types of chicken wings. There was a lot of things on the menu which is so awesome for HH! The $ 1 tacos are SOYUMMY! Close second was the sliders, yum yum. The drink menu is also quite extensive, but I cannot steer myself away from their Ciroc Passion. Trust me when I say order this! You will not be disappointed. Overall, Taste was an easy 5 star review. The customer service is always superb, and the food is great. I will be back!

Happy hour is awesome! The drink prices are really good! And on Thursdays they have $ 1 tacos! Can’t beat that!!! The food I ordered was the taste sliders, you get 3 of them and they look small but they are high in flavor! I also got 5 tacos which were only $ 1 each! They aren’t very big but they are delish! You can choose either chicken or carne asada. The food here is , I highly recommend coming here to grab a bit to eat. They have a lot of TVs so you can catch a game and they have a bunch of tables for any size party you may have! They have Wine Wednesday’s: $ 20 bottle of wine and appetizer Thursdays are happy hour Friday they just have dinner and the club opens at 10, and there’s no cover!!! Saturday there’s dinner then club at 10 with a $ 20 cover And just wait until football season… there should be a brunch type dillio starting up! It’s a real fun environment and has only been opened since last November! So get going! What are you waiting for???

I know nothing about the club part but the bar and restaurant area plus patio is pretty nice. Got the brisket with slaw sandwich. Came with skinny seasoned fries. We split the chicken and waffle bites and the complimentary potato chips are solid. Our server checked on us regularly and we had a good meal. The locale is definitely off the beaten path a bit but if you like varied American fare this is not a bad option

I visited here recently with some coworkers after work and you would never know it used to be the Peppermill unless you took a tour of their dance areas and saw the old fireplace. Amazing remodel since the Peppermill closed down years ago. The dining area is only for the bar area and the outdoor patio, but of which are really relaxing and nicely decorated. The go to drink is definitely the Ciroq Passion. Light, fruity and just delicious. We tried a variety of appetizers and the best were the chicken wings and empanadas. SO good. Another yummy dish was the mac n cheese with bits of bacon. We also ordered dinner. Most of the table went with the trout(one friend wasn’t a fan), I chose the cheeseburger on the brioche bread. I wanted it medium well, but it came out a little under. I ate most of it, but this kind of place is mainly for appetizers and their drinks. They have two great patios if someone wanted to host a cocktail party or a work function. We’re definitely keeping this place in mind for one of our work get outings.
