Action Family Counseling

I don’t usually write reviews but this one i would like to say what i thought of this place. They failed my daughter. They weren’t compassion nor have the empathy like the other reviews said. They are no guardian angels either. My daughter run away countless times from their facility i wonder why? They don’t have a plan for safe intervention when situations like this happens. They didn’t even try to follow her on any of the times she did. My daughter was blessed to run into the kind and caring residents of Santa Clarita they were the guardian angels of my daughter. I’m so thankful that these kind people kept my daughter safe. They were the ones who have to bring my daughter back to the facility because no sheriff or any staff came to pick her up. Eventhough they know where she’s at. They just DIDN’T CARE. They DIDN’T keep my daughter SAFE. They pretty much sit and wait for the sheriff to do their job because they are under staff.
This facility does not help teens with dual diagnosis. They don’t even have a nurse nor Psychiatrist. They didn’t give my daughter’s meds as scheduled. Their process for intake was a red flag already I should have listen to my instincts but i want want my daughter to get the treatment and be safe from her environment. And this place was recommended by my insurance so i thought they must be good. Think twice and do your research before you place your child in this facility. What i really want to say is this place is a joke!

Cary runs an amazing company, and his amazing and caring staff saved my life, and treated every aspect of my disease, and included my family every step of the way. Special thanks to Bob S. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me and my family. I have been sober over 5 years now thanks to everything I learned, and because of being introduced to recovery at Action. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is the best duel diagnosis program in Southern California, I had my child in 12 different programs, including UCLA, it wasn’t until I found Action that we got a correct diagnosis and treatment. That was over 23 years ago., than in 2009 they saved my granddaughter, the same way they saved her mom. They are the only program i found that actually cares about their clients and loves therm. To this day we all stay in touch with Cary Quashen, the founder, on a regular basis and are part of the Action Family. I do not believe both my daughter and granddaughter would be alive today if it had not been for Cary, in fact he actually saved my daughter’s life. Run don’t walk to this great organization, I will forever be grateful for this program and it’s dedicated staff.

I am and will always be eternally grateful to Cary and all of the folks at Action Family Counseling, for all they have done for my daughter and our family… My daughter just celebrated 18 months sobriety after a 5 year battle and many attempts she is thriving in her new life of sobriety… Thank you all for all the love and support you have shown us and many who have and still suffer from the dreaded disease of addiction… If you need help or know someone that does just reach out to the folks at Action they are there for you 24 hours a day… Remember «Nothing changes if nothing changes» Take the first step!

Very few organizations in Santa Clarita make as much of an impact as Action. While every company can get better in some areas, where it matters most Mr. Quashon scores the highest grades available. I am proud to support him and Action. Keep up the good work.

Cary Quashen and his team at Action saved my daughter’s life. They taught us coping skills, and as a result restored peace in our family. Cary is a guardian angel. He always answered his cell phone on the first ring when we were in need of support. The experienced and passionate people at Action know how to get through to difficult teens. They are truly modern day heroes.

I absolutely love action! I spent 30 days at the piru house. The stay changed my life. I was introduced to recovery. When coming in I didn’t know how to live. I was struggling with heroin addiction and I was hopeless. The staff was very caring and armed with facts on how to get clean and stay clean. I was introduced to the 12 steps. We went to meetings every night and had groups all day. I felt so comfortable here and accepted. Everyone understood me for once. I was given tools to help me stay clean and live life again. I am forever grateful for the family groups we had where my family was able to interact in my treatment and get some knowledge on my struggle. I can’t explain how grateful I am to have been given the opportunity to have gone through this treatment center. I will have a year clean next week and I am so blessed. If action hadn’t introduced me to recovery and the program who knows when I would have started to change my life. If anyone is struggling with addiction or knows someone who is i highly recommend going through Action, it will save your life and give u a life beyond your wildest dreams
