Started as a one man shop and has grown over the years into a staff of 6 specializing in the field of automotive & light truck transmissions.

Carlos had a start at an early age working and helping out in a auto shop. He then took interest in the transmission business and learned the trade. Then after becoming a manager of a transmission shop for many years decided on opening up his own shop. Carlos is very involved with the local community and supports local sports teams

My usual mechanics were going to put a new transmission on my car. Thought it was more electrical. They were putting an 6000 bill on me. Took it to competitive transmission they did me right it was computer. Which saved me 3000. Reliable. Highly recommend

Started with some transmission problems so I started calling around numerous shops and Thank god I found Competition Transmission. Once I called the gentlemen Carlos sounded very knowledgeable and sincere over the phone so I knew I had to take them my truck. Up on arrival everyone was extremely professional and what I liked most was the shop was its cleanliness and how organized they were. So I left my Toyota Truck and he even gave me a loaner vehicle and before the day ended. I received a call back telling me exactly what was wrong. So I decided to go ahead and do the job and within 2 days it was ready. I’m super grateful with all there help and professionalism. I will definitely go back and tell all my friends and family. Thanks guys!

I received a proposed bill from the dealership and called my trusted mechanic of many years for his go to transmissions guy, Competition Transmissions. What a fantastic recommendation this became. Not only did he quote a price thousands less, but it came with a 3 year, 50,000 mile warranty. The repairs went without any problems and they washed and throughtly tested the repaired foreign SUV. Mike and his staff get my 100%, A+++++ approval and is now added to my list of auto repair contacts. Overall, I think this was a fantastic financial outcome to a potential serious expense of replacing my vehicle. Thank you Competition Transmissions.

It’s hard to find a good and trustworthy transmission shop. I took a gamble with this shop and I’m glad I did. I purchased a rebuilt transmission for my toyota pickup. I did the tranny install myself and the truck runs great. They did a great job on the rebuild, tranny shifts like butter. Don’t be afraid to try them out, Carlos is your guy! When I went to pick up the transmission, Carlos gave me a few pointers on the tranny. I also got a chance to talk with one their rebuild technicians I think his name was George, he’s been rebuilding transmissions for 20+ years. Very knowledgeable guy and shop.

Apparently, competition transmissions has paid Unilocal to get rid of their negative reviews. Competition transmissions rebuilt my transmission in November of 2012. I have only traveled little more than 50,000 miles and the transmission has failed, with chunks of metal in the pan. When talking with the manager, Carlos, he told me «We have fulfilled our obligation through our warranty. There’s nothing else we will do for you»
A rebuilt transmission should last 150,000 miles. For competitions transmission to refuse to at least pay for part of the rebuild is reprehensibl, from a professional standpoint, regardless of the warranty.
My original transmission lasted over 250,000 miles. 75,000 miles of that was in pulling a 5th wheel /​travel trailer.
It is certainly the reader’s choice to go to Competition Transmissions, but I am informing you that SOMETHING FAILED (whether it be the hardware or the labor), and Competition Transmissions is not even stepping up to even offer a pro-​rated coverage of the new costs to repair their failed work.
I have a feeling this review will be removed by Unilocal,but I will post, again.
PS…the failure happened in Indiana, so I am stuck out of state, 2100 miles away. Again, not even a small offer of help from Competition Transmissions.

This shop has a catchy name. It’s a clean shop. Carlos and his crew are all knowledgeable guys about transmissions. They work on from automatic to standard transmissions. You get guys that give you there honest opinion upfront about the problem with your transmission. George, Carlos, Jorge and the staff are all really cool guys to talk to about cars and about sports especially if your into baseball, football, basketball and soccer. Overall can’t recommend a better transmission shop in Santa Clarita than these guys. Again it’s an awesome name for a shop lol. Keep up the good work Carlos!

Talk about impressive customer service and work!
Research was extensively done while saving up for such a costly repair of a transmission, clutch, and flywheel. Competition Transmission by far surpassed other places though with their warranty of parts AND labor. Carlos and the staff were very friendly, willing to go above and beyond to meet my needs. I can only speak highly of how pleased I am with my decision to go here. A+++++

Carlos and the team were more than accommodating. They fixed our Rodeo and a few days later it broke down. They towed it to the shop, found out it was not related to the transmission, but they fixed it any way! They let me use a loaner car, too. Great guys. Anthony is a sweetheart!!! If your trans is slipping, get it there before you’re stuck!
