We were happy with our food but must’ve come in too late in the day. Some things were out. It was also time for the employees to start cleaning up. We were sitting at a table for two kind of in a hallway. One of the employees stacked the mats from the kitchen area up where I was sitting. I had to walk up on them(climb) to get some more water and when we left.

Unilocal lied. Based on the description««American(New), Vegan, Gluten-Free,» I was expecting a vegan, gluten-free restaurant. But I guess that was naïve of me. They serve meat and wheat. It’s a sandwich, wrap, breakfast & juice shop that has a couple vegan/veg items and you can sub gf bread in their sandwiches. Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than most places, but I’m always on the lookout for places that are safe to take my gluten-intolerant vegetarian partner to when she’s in town. But they do have cage-free eggs(not as good as pastured eggs, because cage-free and free-range chickens aren’t much better off than the caged kind) and I think some organic ingredients, so at least they seem mindful of ingredients. So still not a bad place. Just not as unicorny as it sounded from the description. And they have a take-one-leave-one book shelf. They had Upton Sinclair’s the Jungle, a Johnny Appleseed children’s book, and a bodice-ripper lol. My biggest complaint about this place is no air conditioning. It’s probably part of their granola-y concept, but in the middle of the summer… I was about to pass out from heat stroke. Everyone was pretty friendly and the food came out quickly. Bathroom was clean and had an interesting light switch that reminded me of the nose on the bad guy in Unico in the Island of Magic. The chicken Cali Wrap was pretty good, and comes with a side salad of micro greens in addition to the lettuce inside the wrap. I liked the sauce inside the wrap better than the salad dressing but both were good and tangy, and the dressing was served on the side, which is good for portion and distribution control.

Just compared pretty much the same juice(beets, carrots, etc.) with their Boba neighbors. Eat Real is a clear winner for me in regards to taste and quality. It reminded me of the juices I had in the Yucatan, fresh and quenching. Price was about .25-.50 more and perhaps a tiny bit smaller than at the other place, but I believe ERC uses organic produce. However, a smile would be nice, energy and cheeriness couldn’t hurt, maybe a description of the menu or an up-sell on items that could improve health benefits??? Boba does have them beat on ambiance. I think ERC is going for a shabby-chic/au naturel look, but it feels dingy, dark, and cluttered. Overall, I’ll definitely be back to try more of their options…

Fifth time I’ve come in and they’re out of key elements to make their juices. This morning I picked an alternate juice and boost because they were out of kale. Wtf?! Hummus cup with celery and carrot sticks. Hummus was fine but the carrot were completely dried out as well as the celery. Celery looked like it had fungus spots. I was very unhappy. I’m starting to go to Panini Palace down the road for juice and healthy foods. 3 out of 3 visits they’ve been great.

Came in for an early lunch on a Wednesday and ordered the power chicken grilled sandwich and revive juice. The juice was almost $ 6 for just 12oz… Yikes! It did taste great, but that’s too steep for me to order again. The chicken sandwich was ok, but would be easier to eat if it was cut in half… Chunks of chicken just fell out of it and the bread disintegrated, so I opted for eating it with a fork. Next time I would try the wrap instead. Really wanted to like the place! Hoping the prices come down a bit and the food gets better.

Came here for a breakfast/early lunch since I havent had anything to eat after my 8am class! Came here with my bf but he didn’t order anything. First of all I was so excited that there were a lot of vegan options on the menu!!! They have a great variety of options for vegans! I got the vegan breakfast burrito — I believe it was called the scrambler? It. Tasted. Amazing. I’ve never had a vegan breakfast burrito and this was perfect since I was really craving a breakfast burrito and have not had one since I turned vegan!!! This burrito did not let me down! :) The«eggs» in the burrito looked so real! It was tofu scramble though ;) I wish it came with salsa but that’s ok because the burrito was just tasty as it is. I also got the Long Island strawberry tea. It wasn’t sweet so if you don’t like unsweetened tea then this isn’t for you. It was a green tea with a hint of strawberry. So refreshing!!! The service was amazing and the employees were so kind and awesome! I can’t wait to come back to try more vegan dishes :) Would definitely recommend to all my friends because there are non vegan options as well :) There’s something for everyone! UPDATE: I came back here for lunch and ordered the vegan wrap. The vegan patty was too peppery. Was not a big fan of it!!! I think I’ll just stick to the vegan breakfast wrap!

I really want to love this place because their mission statement and what they aim to serve is so awesome! I love that they strive to provide fresh, organic ingredients and simple, homemade meals that are healthy and delicious! Plus they are a local business and serve local produce, but I don’t know, it just seems that they aren’t quite there yet. They need better structure on a management level, I suppose. Customer service is ok, it’s decent, but it could be better. Last time I was here they messed up a woman’s order and it was just like they didn’t care. They took care of it, no question, but their attitude was like, meh whatever. As for the food, it’s great but not excellent. My other half ordered a chicken panini and half the sandwich was empty. My tuna sandwich was out of this world, I loved it, but my coffee was burned. I guess I can’t really complain, it was 3 after all haha! But like I said, it’s just not perfect yet. Little things that they could improve on would make this an excellent establishment. I will say that their baked goods such as their scones and vegan brownies are delicious, and they really excel here as well as with their teas. Overall, I will continue to go here because I do think it is a great place with great food but they do have their shortcomings. The amount of Unilocal stars can be kinda difficult to choose so on a grade scale I would give them a B.

This review is long overdue! Eat Real Café is a gem hidden in Newhall. If you are looking for delicious, healthy, organic food-then look no further! There is plenty of parking and service is quick. I highly recommend the Cali Wrap and the Spanish Rice Wrap! Also must try is the Peach Tea! The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Awesome spot for brunch!

Definitely 5 stars from me. Everything from the cute décor to the fantastic friendly service to the menu and delicious food was great. After ordering from very helpful employees, our food was delivered super fast. I had the veggie wrap which had a slight kick to it and really tasty. It was served with with a side salad. It was the perfect portion and all of the ingredients were very fresh. I’ll be back to try other menu items for sure.

1st visit was today. Had the Turkey Chili Bowl. It was really good, the quinoa was excellent in it. I do wish it was a bit larger but It was delicious. I also had a fresh juice that was delicious, I think it was the Cleanse with Cayenne and Turmeric. Will be back.

ONCUSTOMERSERVICE: My workmates and I have been ordering drinks and lunch here for nearly 2 years. Most times we even call in our order so we can just pick it up. We’ve been so happy with the food and service that as managers of our departments, we’ve even ordered lunches for our office. Our standard drink order has always been the same: a regular sized CLEANSE&BEHAPPY in a 24 oz cup with extra lemon and over extra ice. It’s been such a regular order for us that we can bring in exact change: $ 6.27 Today as we ordered, the young man who took our order(Tom) charged all of us for extra lemon and extra ice after which our drink order cost over $ 7.00. We’d never, in the nearly 2 years we’ve been visiting this restaurant been charged for extra lemon or ice. The extra charge pricing was no where on their board or paper menu. I’ve even looked up the drink menu online and nowhere does it mention the extra charge for ice or lemon. Needless to say, all three of us were very disappointed, and had we not just walked a mile to get our drinks, would’ve probably walked out. Again, NO complaints on the drinks, but the too-cool, hipster, HS employee with NOCUSTOMER service was a BIG disappointment.

Cash never returned — It was the way that is has been handled. Even though it was simply 2 items the appreciation of buying all of the time was not considered. This has not happened once or twice, it has been various occasions. When giving our personal information to have the owner call us back the gentleman taking the information did not want take it. While laughing over the phone; Until this day 01÷26÷16 almost over a month we have not received a refund, phone call nor an update to have the money returned. Nor has an apology been presented for the actions that were given. — I’m not going to tell you the community to NOT go to this place but to be carful while receiving your orders. If things are forgotten please ask for it because they charge you and don’t provide your order correctly. — They have lost a customer that attended about 4 times a week. Very sad to add a negative comment to a Place that has great food. But after the way that things have occurred it took it to the top to not attend ever again.

On our way to Santa Paula, we needed to grab a bite to eat. By experience, I preferred to eat BEFORE getting into the Fillmore-Santa Paula area. Thanks to Unilocal,we found this great little spot just a mile from the I-5 Freeway. The service and food were outstanding. I ordered the vegan wrap, the vegan bowl and the ¨flu shot¨. It was the best. Delicious. Healthy. Perfect combination of flavors in the wrap and the shot as well. Clean. Friendly. Nutritious. Delicious.

Found this place nestled in a big shopping center. Ate there with my husband for breakfast. The food wasn’t anything special, nothing we could rave about. Prices are too high for the small portion you get. Lyfe kitchen has more options for the same price. Won’t be eating there again.

Another big thanks to Unilocal today for helping us find this awesome organic place! I ordered the Buffalo grilled chicken and my wife had a vegan bowl and we both decided to try some Winter Rooibos tea. Everything was delicious, organic, and you will be able to tell they use good, fresh, quality ingredients. I highly recommend you guys try the buffalo grilled chicken sandwich, it is absolutley delicious! For the place itself it’s really nice, clean, we loved the small café vibe, everything was done fast, very well priced, great location and excellent customer service. This will be added to my hot spots for when we are in the area.

I arrived at 4:59pm the Open sign was in the window. I had researched the place and driven 15 minutes to get there. Excited to try it out and told to leave. «Mam we are closed!» Never again will I darken your door. She was not the owner or I would have been welcomed and served.

One of the reasons why I love working in Newhall is because of this place. I cannot describe to you the freshness of the food or the quality of the food. I’ve ate the veggie wrap and the chicken salad with brown rice both were made to perfection. Love this place my lunch place

My boyfriend and I visited this place when we were on vacation in Santa Clarita. Holy crap this place is awesome! I love little cafes like this that have thief own flare. I ordered just a simple salad with some hummus and my boyfriend ordered chili. We both cleaned our plates. The café offers both vegan and non-vegan items including salads, burritos, and various other items. They also offer fresh juices, coffees, and tea. I ordered an iced earl grey tea that was both refreshing and flavorful. I wish we had one of these in Phoenix!

Let’s make it clear right now, I’m not a huge fan of anything that basically promotes itself with«Organic, natural, grass-fed, real food, *insert other healthy word here*» because I feel like for each use of organic, natural, real, grassfed, or something else healthy, all items go up $ 1 in price per word. So if a restaurant was called«The Natural and Organic Grass-fed Real Burger joint» then I’m assuming a 4oz burger will cost at least $ 20. You can ask the GF, as soon as she mentions one of those words in the name of the restaurant I naturally react as if there was a smelly fart that just hit me. With that said, I did enjoy the food here. My only complaint is portion size and, yes, I get it, we as Americans eat too big and probably my food was enough. However, if I’m paying $ 8 for a bowl of food, I do want to feel like I got $ 8 worth of food. I ordered the buffalo bowl and it had maybe 2.5 oz of chicken, some quinoa, some celery, and spring mix. The ranch and buffalo sauce was drizzled and wasn’t too overpowering and done just right. The bowl itself was very good. I ate some of my GF’s vegan brownie and it was great. The service was fine. But I don’t feel the value and for that reason I’m docking a star. I get it, it’s all natural, organic, free range, etc etc. Maybe if they included something like a side dish, a pickle, I don’t know, something, I’d feel better about it. It’s probably also why I react poorly when my GF suggests Mendocino Farms. Their food is excellent but I’m basically paying $ 10−11for a sandwich. No sides, no chips, no pickle, nothing. Just the sandwich. A meal for 2 @ Mendo typically runs around $ 30. With Mendo at least though, the sandwiches are pretty big for what you get so it’s an ok value.

When I suggested to the Meateater BF that we stop at Eat Real Café for lunch on our way to Tweedy Lake, he was like«no, sounds too healthy!» But by default, we ended up here when he couldn’t find anything better. I win! :) This place gets points for offering options for both the Meateater BF and vegan me. The icons on the menu make it easy to determine the vegan items too. When it comes to vegan patties, I tend to think if I had one, I’ve had them all. But the one I had here stood out. The Vegan Wrap wowed me in such a way that exceeded my expectations. Whatever they put in their homemade vegan patty is delicious. It kinda reminds me of Thanksgiving stuffing. I know that might not sound appetizing but I promise, I loved it. This wrap also has quinoa, tomatoes, red onion, and veganaise wrapped in wheat tortilla. Pretty filling too! I ate one half and took the other half to go. The Meateater BF inhaled the Buffalo Bowl(antibiotic-free chicken, quinoa, homemade buffalo sauce). There was also a bunch of vegan baked goods on display including raw vegan bars, vegan scones, and vegan cookies. As much as I wanted to buy one of everything, I zeroed in on a very delicious, moist and chocolatey-rich Vegan Brownie. I also must mention the friendly vibe here. The atmosphere and décor has a small-town feel and the staff welcomed everyone as soon as a customer walked in. I appreciate that sort of thing! The patrons are friendly too :) I was hoping to stop here again when driving back from Tweedy Lake but we were just way too tired and wanted to get home asap. But I’m pretty confident we’ll make it back here if ever in the Santa Clarita area.

This place is so good, I can’t believe it took me this long to discover it! I thought it was just a health food place to eat at and feel good about yourself later for eating something good for you but probably not real delicious. But I was o so very wrong. I came for their teas and just had to get a scone that was taunting me at the register, but my friend got one of their spinach wraps too. We both loved our teas and food! They also sell some teas and tea paraphernalia, from a couple of different companies, one of which is our local Tea Elle Gardens. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating and funny little quotes about food on their table numbers. Can’t wait to come back for some more tea and probably another scone or two.

I was headed home from SAn Diego to the Valley and needed a food pitstop. But not like sunflower seeds and gummy bears from the gas station but like real honest food. After all, I just had eaten/drank my way through the Gaslamp District in SD for an entire four days there for a conference. Enter this adorable café right off the freeway. The menu is full of fresh pressed juices, salads, wraps, and vegan options. I’m far from a vegan but I have been on a vegan/vegetarian restaurant kick lately. We have slim pickins for that variety of food in Fresno so I had to go with the vegan wrap. And I was not disappointed. Fresh and warm mixture of quinoa and some sort of veggie patty/crumble. Comes with a little side salad but I wasn’t a huge fan of the garlic chia dressing. I got a chocolate chip scone(so I guess it didn’t turn out to be that healthy of a stop lol) which was pretty good but I wish I had tried one of the vegan desserts instead. They have a ton of yummy sounding fresh juices as well. I wish we had more shops like this in my hometown. Sigh.
