I ordered the crab sandwich that was on the special board at the front entrance. It was advertised as made with real crab on a roll. Received the sandwich and it was a horrible tuna sandwich on a hotdog bun. Unbelievable. To make it worse their were two if them. They were inedible, thankfully i ordered fries and mac salad on the side. $ 11.00 fries and mac salad. Don’t order the tuna, i mean crab, sandwich.

Don’t go here if you value your hard earned money!!! Two plates for $ 20! Im thinking not bad, since I know the normal portion sizes at l&l. Boy was I wrong. The plates were the size of a leftover mini container you’d get from Denny’s. I’m not exaggerating either! Ridiculous! If you’re going to charge that much for spam and eggs, it should be extraordinary (it wasn’t). I love l&l but something is seriously wrong with this location. Never again

FISH NOT FRESH WARNING !!! Today me and my mother came in for the first time since the new management has taken over. We were hoping to have a meal like we used to when it first opened. But instead we’re greatly disappointed and ended up with what could have been a very bad case of food poisoning. If it wasn’t for the fact that I caught the problem before my mother ate the rest of her meal. They served her fish that has been freezer burned. She Ordered a mini white fish plate in received two pieces of mini white fish begin to eat the first piece of fish and said that it tasted very rubbery and elastic like and had no flavor at all. Knowing her that is not uncommon being that she is on chemotherapy to treat her cancer and food does not taste like it used to. noticing the state of the fish and she cut into it I stop her and noticed that one of the pieces was dark black and grey on one side. It almost looked as if the batter burned or was bad in that area. Not until I picked up the fish and realized that it felt like rubber and it was completely freezer burnt in the area. She took her order back up to the gentleman up at the counter he asked her if she would like something else but at that point she was so upset she just wanted her money back. He asked if she wanted a full refund butt she made him give half a refund because she ate half of the piece of fish that had been tainted. He told her in front of a full restaurant that she had had fresh fish in front of her and that it was not freezer burned and that he would give her money back but he would give her something else if it was just because she didn’t like the fish. I will never go there again nor will I suggest any friends family or any other people to go there especially if you’re the going there for fish. They were advertising fresh Pokey on the door. Anyone that is familiar with it knows that it is raw. After my experience today I am very sure that whatever they’re serving may not be as fresh as their advertising.

Tonight was my first time at this establishment and Its good, but not the same great taste explosion I had at Ono Hawaiian BBQ on yesterday. I ordered the Chicken Plate from the Healthier Plate Menu, while my wife, having been here before, ordered her usual BBQ Chicken Bowl. My Chicken Plate was good and the salad that came with it was decent as well, but the rice left much to be desired being very dry.
I’ll be back to give them another try though, I’d like to try several other items on the menu and my wife seems quite happy with their BBQ Chicken Bowl. Service is friendly but the wait time was too lengthy, maybe 20 minutes. And in all fairness to the staff, we were there right at dinner crunch time.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I are regulars. We walked in one day not knowing what to order, we tried their specialty the bbq mix and it is to die for. Everything here is good.

Great service & awesome yummy food. I’m addicted to this spot. I highly recommend this place for thier short ribs and macaroni salad.

This is a nice spot for your typical Hawaiian bbq… Ive been here a few times and the food is consistent and tastes good. I love that they have Hawaiian tea cans (I really loved drinking them in Hawaii). The macaroni salad is on the side and really yummy. The bbq chicken is also very good. The only down side is that it can very easily become a pricey meal. Food is worth trying and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable.

My first time here was quite satisfying. The rice was flavored with garlic and chives and the portions I got were a decent size. Overall it was very good! Would come eat again

Clearly the negative review we read was wrong! This food was so worth it, & the service was good. I got fried shrimp combo mini. The shrimp were huge! Best kept secret in SCV! The macaroni is fresh. The white rice is even very good! I will be back.

Sad to say that the food has drastically gone bad since the new owners. The chicken katsu is dry and tasteless and so as the BBQ chicken. Loco moco is okay but they overcook the egg. The egg must be runny in Loco moco. The only thing better than before is the mac salad. Must tastier than before. So disappointed since this was one of our favorite food in Santa Clarita.

I went to the L&L on Oahu and loved it so when we moved here I had to try this place and loved it! Food is always fresh and hot and the customer service is great. I’ll definitely be back. Love it!!!

Service was bad before new management and i did not go back because of small portions, the crazy sauce policy and the overall vibe of the place that is so opposite of ALOHA. I ordered for the company around April of this year and our total order came up to around $ 270 something dollars. When i asked if they can give us plates, forks, spoons and napkins… i was told that they will charge me extra $ 10 for that.
Yeeessshhh.
I would have given them more business because we do a lot of big orders for corporate parties but i am not willing to give the business to those who nickel and dime their customers.

Came in and got greeted with a smile and friendly hello. Ordered the BBQ chicken plate and a spam musubi. This is my first time here so to me the chicken tasted good. The spam musubi was sooo good! I can see it being very addicting.

NEW MANAGEMENT /​new owners, and the food is amazinggggg. Thank you for making the food better and tastier, just as good as the L&L i remember as a kid! The Chicken Katsu is crunchy delicious!

What. The. Hell.
I left this place feeling sad and unsatisfied.
Being born and raised on Oahu I definitely know what L&L is supposed to taste like. This my friend is no L&L. Nothing more then what a mainland interpretation ephod be. Chicken didn’t even looked marinated and the Mac Salad was kinda watered down, like they didn’t drain the noodles well enough. They need to have someone from Hawaii come train them on the right way to make some of our local favorites or they should change the name and not represent the L&L franchise.

Not sure what to say about this place with the new management and all. I’m sure these guys are much better tho’. been to other Hawaiian joints… the bbq combo here a little skimpy on the beef. almost like a Costco sample compared to other Hawaiian joints. the spam musubi on point tho 3 stars…2 stars for the bbq combo.

I wan invited to come back by the new owner to make up for Joyce’s terrible service (previous owner) and he even offered me a ramen burger combo meal for free!
The place has a better vibe over all!!! Food is great! I’m so glad there’s a new owner! Excellent customer service makes a huge impact on how you run a business. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you! Wishing the new owner best of luck! It’s a great restaurant!

Service was SPECTACULAR. We just moved into the area and decided to stop by and grab some Hawaiian Bbq. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a Huge smile and a warm welcome. It was easy to order from their Menu as I ordered the chicken Katsu and my Boo ordered the BBQ mix. he didn’t want the Mac so they allowed us to substitute it with whatever we wanted so he went for an extra scoop of rice. EASY.
They have different varieties of Original Hawaiian Drinks and a huge selection of Fountain drinks as well. We were given a complimentary drink with another HUGE SMILE as he introduced himself as the new owners. I do not know who the old owners were before but this new management gets 5 stars if not more from me. I would definitely come here again. Fresh food, excellent service with a smile.. You can’t beat that.
