Sun Dimmers

I highly recommend them they have done three cars, and tinted the windows in my house.
The service is excellent they’re very knowledgeable, they do beautiful work, and I will go back there with every car I own.
By the way, tinting the south and west windows in my house save me hundreds of dollars of air-​conditioning bills immediately. I highly recommend to do your windows using the mirrored tent.

I’ve taken 5 cars to Sun Dimmers in the last 7 years and they have done pristine work on every car I’ve taken to them. Sean (not sure on spelling) is extremely accommodating and professional. He and his installers have treated every car I have brought to them as though it were their own. I just took my most recent car to Sun Dimmers and it was done in an hour, flawlessly. They use only the best materials. None of my windows have ever bubbled or turned purple. For showroom quality work /​product, take your car to Sun Dimmers. I unequivocally recommend them!
That being said, I’ve also used other tint services in Santa Clarita. I had a car tinted at Black Diamond (only because the tint was worked into a deal when I bought the car from a local dealer) and had nothing but problems. The workmanship was poor, and after taking it back three times to have defects repaired /​replaced, I finally gave up and paid for it on my own at Sun Dimmers where it was done right the first time. Not to mention the difficult staff at Black Diamond and unprofessionalism, but that’s another review…

I’m in the store now and wanted to rate there perfection work here at sun dimmers. Sun Dimmers is the best tint place in Santa Clarita. No air bubbles ever. The life of the tint last for a long period of time. Therefore a good friend of mine had his tints done by sun dimmers and had them for three years and still looks new. If you want to get tints done I would advise you to do so at Sun Dimmers. There guest service is very nice and welcoming at home. Also the tints come with a warranty policy and Sun Dimmers honors there policy.

I noticed this place before and decided to take my car there considering the Unilocal reviews seemed pretty good. But I was not happy with the results… I pointed out some bubbles immediately before driving away and he said that it was normal and would go away in a couple of days so I accepted that and drove off. It took 5 days for most of it to disappear and even weeks later there is small pin pick holes in corners of the tint and some weird but small smudges that seems to be in between tint and glass in a few places, and the cut outs could have been better. I baby my cars so im probably the only one who will notice these imperfections and I didn’t have the time or patience to take it back. I’ve done tint at least 6 times on new cars over the past several years and this would be my worst experience. Consider another tint shop if you seek perfection.

I have had bad experiences at other tint shops, this is by far the best tint shop around. I bought a new 2016 mustang gt and had stripes put on it as well as had the windows tinted. Sean took great care of me. Sean runs a great shop and has top notch co workers. They did a fantastic job on my 2016 mustang GT. I am very picky and meticulous when it comes to my vehicles. A+++++ shop. They do just about everything, they tint, stripe your vehicle and even does the clear bra and more, depending on how much you want to protect your car.

Had paint protection «Full Package» installed on a new Lexus LS today. It turned out beautiful and Kelsey was great. We will be returning soon for the Pinacle ceramic window tinting too. Excellent workmanship.

Wow. What great customer service and appreciation. Kelsey and Rob were both very knowledgeable about their wide variety of products. The work itself was perfect. Cost was average. After my first car, I brought in 2 other cars. They’ll defiantly get all of my future business.

I went to sun dimmers in May to have my tint removed. They charged about $ 100 for all the windows in my coupe. Everything seemed fine until I went to pick up my car.
First thing I noticed was that not all the tint was vacuumed from my back seat– really? I also noticed that there were some areas were water (?) had dripped onto the side panels of the car. I thought, ok, no big deal they’re just a little lazy. I paid and went home.
When I got home to inspect further I noticed that a hole had been punched in the side panel of the back seat. This was not like that when I took my car in. Upon further inspection I realized that somehow someone there had punched in the small plastic cover that covers the Phillips head that holds the side panel to the car itself. I also noticed several horizontal scratches by the window. These were not their either.
When I took the car back and asked to speak to the manager all I got was attitude and excuses. First he said my car was old. So what? It’s a 2004 and it has been taken care of. I know what scratches and dents were there before I dropped of my car and the hole punched in the panel and the scratches were not there. His staff did that. Then he said that wasn’t near an area where they should be working. EXACTLY– that’s why it was so weird to me that they managed to do damage there. He also had an excuse for the scratches– he said they don’t work from side to side with the razors to remove tint. Well, your incompetent an ill-​trained staff did. Granted, the actual workers were apologetic. (The manager wasn’t until the end).
As he and I discussed the issues his staff entered my vehicle and proceeded to push the plastic tab that covered the Phillips head back into the panel itself revealing the hole that you see in the photos. The manager finally offered to replace the part and called Honda to see the cost. Honda said they would have to sell then the whole side panel.
So, looking for the cheapest way to shut me up, the manager offered instead to have me bring my vehicle back and allow his staff to remove the whole panel to find the little piece that they pushed back behind the panel. I’m sorry but if you can’t even remove tint without screwing up my car (which is what your business does), you think I’m going to let you remove the panel and my whole back seat (according to the manager that’s what they would have to do) and risk then screwing something else up? No thanks. I never went back.

Every time I need work on my car, I come to Shawn. He always takes care of me. The work is always top notch. Shawn really takes his work seriously, very professional & courteous. His staff is also top notch. I also refer all my friends here.

After reading about the other local tint shops poor customer service I decided to call Sun Dimmers. The gal that answered the call was very professional and set me up with an appointment the next day. When I arrived I was greeted by her and met the manager (I believe Rob). We talked over options and they spent time going over what would suit me best. I ended up getting tint all the way around and it turned out great! It was done ahead of schedule.
If you are looking for tint give them a call. Great price and great service what more could you ask for?

Today I Came Back to see Shawn and the team at Sun Dimmers for a little PPF for my car.
That’s Paint Protection Film for you folks that don’t know.
You apply a clear 6 mil thick stretchable material to the impact areas of your car and it keeps your paint from getting chipped up from road debris and rocks.
My daughter had been hit and run and we had the car repainted (thanks Jake @ State Farm!)
After a 30 day of curing the paint this is a must for fresh paint,
I brought the car here for the final touch, PPF.
Shawn and Brandon they did a great job from prepping the bumper so there was no dirt or debris, to installing the film.
You really have to look to see it at all, probably why its called clear bra!
They have a cool software program that has patterns for each car type and it cuts out the film on a plotter and the end product fits great!
I definitely will do all my cars with PPF.

I was referred to Sun Dimmers by the Subaru dealership. As a customer, I felt valued when they took time explaining to me the different options and pros and cons. They were not pushy when I took a little while deciding what I wanted to have done to my car. When the decision was finally made, the job was completed in a timely manner (less than 2 hours). They had very high quality, lifetime warranty window tint. I’ve had cheaper tint jobs before that discolor, bubble, or peel. I will never use inferior materials again. I made an appointment with Kelsey on the phone who was very nice. The day of the installation I dealt with Rob, who was friendly, knowledgable, and patient. I would recommend Sun Dimmers to everyone I know.

They did a great job on the tint for my car. Called around Santa Clarita and they were equal or better priced than anyone else. Very easy process, dropped the car off and picked it up a few hours later without any hassle. I purposely waited a couple months to write this review in case anything didn’t go right with the tint, but so far it is perfect. Highly recommended and I will go there on my next car for sure. I have tried two other tint shops in Santa Clarita on previous cars and they were just OK. like this shop the best by far.

This place is great! I just got a new car and needed the windows tinted. Sun Dimmers was recommended to me and the reviews I read on this place we’re great, so we gave them a call. From first phone call to dropping off the car and picking up, 100% satisfaction. The customer service is absolutely wonderful and the car looks great. The shop is clean as well so if you needed to wait in the shop, it’s not a big deal. Everyone we dealt with at Sun Dimmers was very nice.

I must start off by saying that I did not have work performed by this facility, so I can’t attest to the quality of their workmanship. By what I could tell, they appeared to be of a high quality. But high quality comes with a high price.
I walked in after scheduling an appointment only to find out that a regular window tint costs $ 240 and infrared tint was almost $ 500. I asked them why the prices were so high considering many other shops of high caliber, including Sunshield tint in the San Fernando Valley, only charged $ 225 for a Wincoos Ceramic Tint? The receptionist asked the manager if they could give an exception.
Instead, an employee came out that said it was his first day working there and that he used to work at Sunshield. He said the quality of their work was so much better and the best he could do was $ 400.
I said not thanks, a window tint is just not worth a 50% price premium. I really wish they were a little more courteous about it, but it was clear that my business was not required. Best of luck!

Rob is amazing!!! He is the most professional person ever! He takes his time explaining the process, he’s so polite, and makes you feel like a valuable customer! The tint on my car looks amazing! A coworker recommended me to Sun Dimmers and am 100% satisfied!

I’ve had these guys do three cars for me so far and they have done a perfect job every time. The Lexus, then my GMC Sierra followed by my Volt.
They are very good at what they do and the price is totally fair. I’m happy that I found this shop.

All I can say is WOW… WOW…WOW. Been considering getting my front windows tinted for months. Decided out of the blue to start making some phone calls and inquire about pricing. I spoke to a number of shops that had customer service resembling that of a soup server at Folsom.
But Sun Dimmers was a different story. From the initial point of contact to the moment I drove off the lot, I was impressed. The price was ½ of what the competitors were charging. It took less than an hour to get the car in and out, with minimal advance notice.
The manager walked me through the process, explained the business and treated me like a real human being (I didn’t know good customer service still existed?). This shop is phenomenal and will always have my business, proud to be a customer here.
Keep up the awesome work. And ps, that shop is CLLLEEEAAANNN.
