Helpful and honest used car dealers! Terry was a great help when we moved to Santa Cruz and needed figuring out how to buy a car (we’re clueless Europeans). We got a great deal and a lot of help. Aloha motors is a friendly, honest business and I can highly recommend it!

Good vehicles for good prices, they were very willing to help and have a great deal with a mechanic! Aside from some minor miscommunication this is a good place to buy a car

Everyone knows the stereotype about used car salesmen, and I was not looking forward to my experience but Aloha Motors changed my mind! I researched all the dealerships in the Bay Area that had the exact used car I wanted, and Aloha Motors was the only dealer (out of nine!) whose listed price was within the fair range on Kelley Blue Book, so I decided to email them first. Both Terry and Josh were incredibly responsive — they usually got back to me within the hour — and I booked a test drive.
When I got to the dealership, I was surprised by how small the actual office is. Aloha Motors is basically a two man team in a two room building! Josh is the owner and Terry is the sales guy. Their lot was filled with clean, shiny cars, and ready to go on the driveway was the car I’ve been looking for.
Based on a few negative reviews on Unilocal about used vehicles failing after leaving dealership lots, I booked a pre-​purchase inspection with Water Star Motors (also highly recommended) which was five minutes away and Terry drove the car there for me. The car came back with a clean bill of health — WSM noted that the car was very well maintained for its age and that the tires were new. I later found out that Josh and Terry were the ones who put in the new tires, which gave me confidence that they took care of their inventory.
Terry was extremely personable during the test drive and knew his cars! I felt like he was getting to know me as a person rather than trying to gain information from me to help make the sale. I discovered during our chat that Terry doesn’t actually make a commission; he’s a salaried employee that gets paid regardless, and this translated to my entire experience at Aloha Motors. I never felt rushed, and I felt informed and that I was treated fairly the entire time.
I love my new car, and I would not hesitate to recommend Aloha Motors to anybody else. I’ll be back the next time I need a used car!

What a great experience !! Buying a car from these guys was nothing like going to the typical auto mall lots. There was no haggling, no games, no bullcrap… just relaxed one on one.
I worked the whole time with Josh and he was awesome !!! He was the only one working that day and not once did I feel rushed or unimportant. He was patient with me and all my questions. He worked calmly with me see if I could even afford the car and made sure I understood everything he was doing.
Then the magic happened…
Josh went above and beyond working with me and the finance company to make sure I got the car I fell in love with and it would not strap my budget.
Fate took me to these guys on Friday afternoon, and Monday afternoon I was driving off the lot with a big smile.

I was in the market for a used, reasonably-​priced Toyota in the Santa Cruz area. When searching through Aloha’s inventory, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of Toyotas and Hondas for sale in great condition and reasonably-​priced. I wasn’t looking forward to going to any dealership to car shop, but when I arrived at Aloha, I was free of the high-​pressured salesmen pitches and felt at ease in checking out the vehicles at my own pace. Josh was very helpful, yet not at all pushy. The Corolla, which I ended up purchasing, was in excellent condition and very low miles for the year– perfect commuter car I was looking for! Best car buying experience I have had yet! Will definitely check out Aloha’s inventory for my next car.

I had the worst experience buying a first time car for my daughter 2004 Ford Mustang recent it had so many problems every month there was a big expense I bought this car for 5,000 it ended up costing me double if not more sales man said the last owner took care of it that was a lie I finally ended up buying my daughter a new car from Marty franich ford were they take good care of me this car was dangerous and the worst part was they said it was safe and a great car for my teenage daughter put her life in danger. This was a joke not to mention it was her birthday present who would let someone drive a car of the lot and put there life in danger for a sale

5 Stars for a Used Car Dealer? Yeah, I think they deserve it — so far. Found a Craigslist ad for a 2001 4Runner they were selling. Priced it out on NADA and Kelly’s Blue Book online. If the vehicle was decent then the listing was at a fair price. That interested me because I thought either they were lying or there was something wrong with the vehicle. And if they were not lying then there as a high likelihood I was going to buy the car because I had been looking for about 5 months.
Well I checked the vehicle and it was solid for the year and the mileage — no leaks, clean fluids (yes, they change the oil once the car comes to the lot), no rust, everything works, upholstery in excellent shape, newer tires. We took the vehicle for a drive over speed bumps, around a bit of Santa Cruz, and Hwy 1 — no noises, transmission shifted properly, timing was good, suspension good, started right away, and so forth.
After dealing with places like one particular nameless new car dealer in the Capitola area for new and used cars over the years, this was a very pleasant experience. We sat down to negotiate and we settled on a price I thought was fair. I’ve seen numerous ads for 4Runners being sold by owner grossly overpriced. I probably should have taken this car to my mechanic but I thought the offer was fair and at that price it wouldn’t last the weekend. So — everything was smooth. Signed the papers and picked up the car. My gut feeling was this was an honest place and because it’s a small dealer the cars have to be priced fair or they’ll sit in their small lot. If it turns out there are serious mechanical problems, I will post an update. But I don’t think I’ll have to do anything except change the timing belt and water pump only because it’s almost due for that.

Not finding what I was looking for on Craigslist, I went here not expecting much. I was asked what I was looking for and given 3 options they had in stock. Terry was very pleasant, without any pressure we test drove all 3 cars in my price range. We reviewed the pros and cons of each car and I made an offer that was less than they asked for. Terry called the boss and advocated on my behalf, getting my offer met and doing all the DMV paper work for me included ! They don’t do that on Craigslist…

I got a great deal here. I bought a 2001 Durango at a great price. Runs great looks good and fun to drive. I had a basic idea of what I wanted and what I was willing to spend. The whole process went very smooth. I drove off and Josh took care of everything. I could not be happier with the deal I got. I will be back and I tell everybody looking for a car to stop by aloha motors and see if they have something you like they will put you in it.

So I came here earlier looking for a Subaru WRX. Not to many options locally for this type of vehicle but it is exactly what I wanted.
The first time I came in i checked the vehicle out with a guy named terry and he took me on a test drive up 17. The car handled good and didn’t have any noticeable issues. I had the car checked out locally by my mechanic and he gave me a good bill of health with no issues to be concerned with immediately.
This place is a smaller dealership so there wasn’t any donuts and coffee for me, but I did get a better deal than what was being offered to me at the bigger dealerships.
