Considering I’ve been going to April for 6 years now, I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to write a Unilocal review for her! April offers many special, pampering services, but I always go to her for a 60 or 90 minute facial. As mentioned in previous posts, April takes special care to individualize her treatments for your skin. She also uses all natural, yummy products with ingredients that range from cherry to probiotic whey to tobacco. Everything smells so good and feels absolutely nutritious for your skin. April really goes the extra mile to make sure you leave feeling glowing and relaxed. Bonus– the products she sells are top notch, including her very own homemade skincare line. April is kind, has great energy, and is an absolute skin pro to boot. If you want the best facial in town, go see April Rose!

This last week I found myself gripped with muscle spasms in my mid-​back. I looked to a friend who recommended April Rose for a massage. My friend said that April was a natural healer. I phoned April and she made room in her schedule to see me that same day. She spend an hour and a half massaging my back. I knew that given the intensity of my pain that one massage session wouldn’t completely alleviate my discomfort. At the end of our session April knew that I was still uncomfortable. I told her I felt much better and hadn’t expected to walk out «cured». She looked at me with true compassion and said there would be «no charge». Even at her insistance I paid her; I am still completely over-​whelmed by her kindness. Not only is April a skilled practitioner she is genuinely kind, gentle and incredibly compassionate person. Needless to say I highly recommend her for her healing services.

Such warmth of person!
I had never experienced a facial until I came to April. It was not what I imagined and yet also better than I imagined in the results.
Firstly let me say how much I appreciate April’s care with the products she uses and chooses to sell– AND she’s now creating her own skin care product line; how cool is that?!
April’s personality was as much a part of the treatment as the treatment itself. I felt cared for in so many ways. And good lord!, my skin seemed to quite literally glow for the next few days after my facial with her.
If you’ve not yet had a facial, or even if you have, I highly encourage you to do so with April.

She is AMAZING! On top of her impeccable waxing skills, she is so kind and nice to be around! I went in for a brazilian and an eyebrow wax. She was quick and the process was less painful than any other wax I have experienced (which was surprising to me, since it had been months since my last wax) and my eyebrows look better than ever! The arch is so perfect and demure, I will never visit another waxing salon in Santa Cruz, April Rose is worth every penny (and she isn’t any more expensive than the other salons I have visited in town). You will be glad you went to see her!

I’ve seen April twice now. Her office is calm and has nice feeling. I was running late and even though we were rushed, she didn’t make me feel rushed and she did a thorough, excellent job. I really enjoy my time with her, she very easy to be around.

to say April is an amazing esthetician is an understatement! i’ve been a client for pushing 10 years now and her commitment to quality service and care is rare in this day and age. she listens to what works for me and what doesn’t re products and doesn’t «push» them as so may others do. i can’t say enough in praise of April. although trained, she is a natural when it comes to massage. beware: one visit will never be enough! i’ve been to many estheticians over the years and i can honestly say that April is the best. i’ll follow her wherever she practic

I have had many facial at other spas and each time I am laying there I think to my self, «This isn’t as good as April». Getting a facial from April is one of my all time favorite things to do, it is heaven! She is warm, welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. On top of that she is an amazing esthetician with great knowledge on how to help you and your skin.
I promise that you won’t be disappointed with your treatment by April.

I went to April for a bikini wax and was so so pleasantly surprised by how painless it was and how well it turned out. I’ve been to others and had pretty bad experiences so this was great! Her table is like laying on a cloud! The ambience is beautiful and warm. I was greeted in a friendly manner by the receptionist and ushered right in to her private space. Since then I have gone to April for a facial as well which I can also highly recommend. The prices are reasonable and April is the Best!

I’ve had several facial treatments with April, and have always been extremely satisfied. I have a problem with mild acne, usually around the jawline/​neck. After the first facial she gave me, my skin looked bright and clear for two months! I was really amazed. I love the products she uses, and she’s very generous with the number of applications of different products she uses in every treatment. She always tailors the facial to the needs of my skin at that time.
In addition to the quality of her work, April is very warm and approachable. Her office is beautiful and cozy. You’ll never want to leave! I can’t recommend her enough.

April is an amazing esthetician! She evaluates your skin as she goes, and uses only the best products. The atmosphere of the skin care room is serene and relaxing, and during the treatment she adds some little special touches by adding some extra treatments of massaging feet/​legs, and hands then blankets them in warming gloves. Her neck massages are incredible too! The time just goes by way too fast, but afterward your skin is glowing, gorgeous, healthy and renewed looking. I give her an 11 on a scale of 1 – 10, 2 thumbs up, and 5 Unilocal stars.

April is the best esthetician I’ve found! I’ve been going to her for about 6 years and my skin looks great! She really understands my sensitive/​dry skin and the masks and peels she uses leave my skin glowing. I have also done a series of microderm abrasion treatments and it made a big difference in the texture and color of my skin.
Her treatment room is so warm and relaxing that I wish I could come in for treatments every week.
