Dr. John Baron graduated from University of Texas Dental School in 1972. He practiced dentistry in the military for two years before doing Dentistry full time. He opened his practice in Santa Cruz in 1990.

John Baron earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas in 1968. He then became a D.D.S. at University of Texas Dental School, Houston, Texas in 1972. He went into full time private practice in Houston, Texas from 1974 — 1977; Eugene, Oregon from 1977 — 1990; and then in California from 1990 — present.

It really saddens me to see that two reviewers have given this office anything less than the 5 stars it deserves. This office is extremely professional, beyond friendly, honest, and very informative. Dr. Baron is an excellent dentist, and Nancy is an excellent hygienist. I should know, Dr. Baron has been helping me get rid of all of my old, cracking fillings and replacing them with new crowns that look and feel great. And, the front office is always so accommodating, helping me to work around my insurance, and helping me make the best decisions for both my financial and dental health.
Furthermore, if you’re a nervous patient like me, this is the place to go. I have had some less than comfortable past experiences at other dentist offices, and they have made me a bit tense. But, as I continue to see Dr. Baron and his professional staff, my nerves have calmed tremendously. They are so gentle and their first priority is making sure you feel at ease. Nice staff and dentist. Got me in the schedule fast and they had complimentary coffee, tea, water, juice available in pt. fridge and gave me IB profin and warm towel at the end.

My husband and I went to Dr. Baron and I was told that i had many cavities that I made an appointment to get filled and when i arrived realized that the cavaties were actually replacing my existing fillings, not necessarily new cavities. My husband who also got cavities filled had his jaw lock up and was in extreme pain for several weeks after getting work done. I also wasn’t too keen on the ‘upselling’ on the cosmetic services he offers for veneers. We simply wanted to get our teeth cleaned and examined so ultimately decided to switch to another dentist.

If you are looking for a top-notch dentist you need to visit Dr. Baron. The staff in his office are incredible! The front office is caring and efficient, the dental staff are all excellent. Sherri has been cleaning my teeth and my husband’s for 25 years and Nancy takes care of my son’s. Dr. Baron is incredibly professional. I have total confidence in his expertise and abilities. I am so happy to have such a great dental office in my area to take care of my whole family.

I was recommended to Dr. Baron because I needed some cosmetic work– the replacements for very old veneers. Not only did Dr. Baron do the work in record time, the end result is beautiful. He is a true artist. Thanks to Debbie and Dr. Baron for great teamwork on these front veneers– it was painless perfection! He is very knowledgeable and professional, and his staff is friendly and worked seamlessly to ensure my comfort. He’ll now be my regular dentist as well!

Dr. Baron and his entire office staff could not be nicer. They are all very professional and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Baron is an excellent dentist and any and all procedures have been pain free and turned out beautifully.
The whole «Baron Staff» actually make a visit to the dentist a fun experience. :-)

Dr. Baron was recommended to me by a long time patient. She was right. He and his staff is great. Amy and Paula are very nice and I had a partial emergency. A split tooth, and went to my FORMER dentist, and they did not even clean it, only sat me down with the insurance person to arrange payment for a costly procedure. Dr. Baron took time to explain, and I felt it was for me and not insurance purposes. He gave me a referral to a nearby dentist for procedures he does not do, and I will officially change my dental issues to him full time.
