James smogged my car awhile back. I was in and out after calling ahead in like 10 – 15 minutes. Very reasonably priced and you don’t pay if you don’t pass. Check him out if you need a smog or other work

Went in for a smog (walk-​in), took about 30mins. Great rates! I have a 94 camry — total cost for the smog test and certification was $ 55! The guy was really informative and nice. In two years I’ll be back for another smog!

I walked in and asked if they could do a smog on my toyota dolphin which the guy (an older man in a blue tank top) had just seen me park. He seemed flustered and said normally they only take motorhomes on saturday but since it was a small one he could do it after the car he was working on. But he did not seem happy about it at all.
ok thanks i said and walked to my vehicle wondering if i should take it somewhere else, nah he’s just having a bad morning i thought. i walked back in and sat in the waiting room.
one minute later he walks in with his back to me and literally SLAMS A CLIPBOARD AS HARD AS POSSIBLE on the counter!!! and immediately walks back out.
what the hell…
i immediately left
later in the day at another smog shop the dolphin earned the rating of gross polluter, other than that its been charming day…

I called from work to make an appointment to smog my car but they told me that it was walk ins. When I got there after work, they told me I’d have to come in the next day and put me down for 3:30. The next day I called because I realized I’d left my DMV paperwork. They told me «no problem, come in tomorrow, same time.» When I got there, a man turned me away, saying that the machine had already been shut down. I don’t know what it entails to turn it on again, but apparently the fact that I had an appointment made no difference.

The time of operation said 8am. I got there early, waited for the guy and everything. As 8am approached, I headed to wait by the door until they opened. A Man pulled up, parked his car… noticed I was there and said, «Sup bro?» I said, «Hey, just waiting for the doors to open.» He said, «Hm, well…»
ANother car had pulled up, and he got in it and left.
I called the place and on the voice mail it was the same voice as the guy who just spoke to me… a low smokers voice.
I have to assume that was the guy who should have opened the shop up, especially when a customer was ready for service.
Bull shit.
I left and went to Bobbys Auto Stop. They were great! Best service in town.
I will never again go to King. I can see where the priorities are…

Called Blake to see about my check engine light. He was very nice and told me to bring my car over. He had time to read the code and told me to bring it back the same day, at 1 pm on a Friday. They were full and he said they will do a tune up with Spark plugs. They did not get to it on Friday, but no worries. He called me with the estimate and said they will be done in about an hour on Saturday. I walked down to the shop, and as they were checking the distributor cap, they found a broken screw. They had to drill this out and ran out of time on Saturday, so I will be going back on Monday. I am appreciative that they fit me in, and hope I am the first one on the lift. I will let you know how it went.

I took my 2005 MiniCooper to get diagnosed as the «Check Engine Soon» light came on. Blake told me to bring it in and they would do a $ 90 diagnostic on it and tell me exactly what was wrong with it. I had to leave it over night but the next day, I was told what was wrong… the oxygen sensor and they charged me $ 45 instead of $ 90 since the 2005 Mini’s have an extended warranty on it and will be changed by the dealer.
They are the best and very honest… hope they always stay like this!!!

This guy is fabulous, obviously values our business. Very nice and when we had a problem with whether we needed «Test Only» or just a smog check, he handled it with Sacramento. Also very reasonable pricing wise. The BF was so impressed, said these guys had a ‘customer for life’.

Been taking my cars here for last 2 years based on recommendation of Paul at Classic Honda. Never had any problems with these guys. No BS… no hassles… usually not a long wait (call ahead first)…50 bucks and its done! Taken 4 different vehicles here with no issues. A++
