Did not have regular pedicures or manicures until I met Quynh… now I never miss an appointment. She is a true joy and extremely professional. The entire experience is unbelievably relaxing — she takes incredible pride in doing a thorough job and ensures that it’s the best part of your day. No hesitation in highly recommending Quynh!

Got my first pedi here today. Quynh is the best! Super personable, friendly and professional. She did a great job and gives a very thorough massage (hot towels, hot stones, hot oil-​the works). Go to Quynh if you want to sit back and relax while the nicest nail tech ever pretties up your piggies!

Quynh is amazing. She is very detailed and thorough, and always does a great job shaping my nails as I get a lot of chipping. She always takes her time, and I never feel rushed like I do in most salons. She also has such a pleasant demeanor and extremely patient with me even when I change my mind on what I want.

This salon is wonderful and Quynh is amazing, she did such a great job. She removed my old acrylic that was done poorly without harming my nails and did a beautiful gel manicure. I could not be happier, I will definitely be returning.

This is all around a great place. The customer service is great, they’re all genuinely nice people. And they do a great massage. Thorough, not rushed and great massages!

Amazing place! I finally found a place here in Santa Cruz that does amazing nails. I have tried about 6 places since I moved here and have been sadly disappointed. Quynh is the Best Nail Tech ever! I was lucky to have been given a gift certificate to see her in this little salon tucked away off of Seabright. She really cares about me and my nails. She uses sanitized equipment, always puts in 100%, is a super-​friendly good person, and my nails always look amazing when I leave. I won’t go anywhere else for manis and pedis ever again!

I walked in here to ask if they had any availability and they were very rude and sent me away. There’s no excuse for treating potential customers this way. A smile goes a long way, as does encouragement to come back when you are less busy. As a long time Santa Cruz resident, when service and experience are good, I spread the word. I just don’t get it why you would want to make potential customers feel unwelcome.

I was lucky enough to get a walk-​in appointment yesterday. Got a gel manicure from Emilie and she was fantastic!

If you dont have an idea of what you want no worries she will give you something amazing that will keep you coming back. Not just your typical manicure you will leave feeling great with AMAZING nails you will always be complemented on.

Katessa is ahh-​mazing! I have been going to her for nearly 5 years and her attention to detail/​design is empecable! I truly appreciate how she makes time for me when the unfortunate happens and I brake a nail, she takes me in ASAP! She is a true artist, what you see is what you get. Katessa is simply the best! I have been seeing her consistently for years now and cannot say enough. Her nail designs are always creative and thoughtful. Katessa as a person is creative and thoughtful. When I say she is a nail artist, I mean artist. No matter how glitzy or subtle the color/​design we choose, they always catch the eye of strangers who can’t help but compliment her beautiful work. They are just that gorgeous. My appointments with Katessa are something in my schedule that I look forward to and enjoy. She’s a complete doll and values her clients in a very genuine way. No matter if you become a regular client of hers or decide to treat yourself for a specific occasion, this woman will adorn your nails with attention, care, and mad skills.
I’m attaching a photo of my current nails. One year ago Katessa did my nails for my wedding day. At my most recent appointment when I mentioned my one year anniversary she suggested that we recreate my signature bridal nails. It was the perfect touch and they are bringing back all sorts of sentimental, lovely memories. Having the right nails can work wonders…

So I’m updating my review after coming here frequently over the last few months.
First make sure you call the shop and make an appointment. All of the women who do nails here are great and everyone is really friendly. Personally I recommend Emilie but everyone is great.
They do such an amazing job here on your nails and the shop is really clean and inviting.

Rude. I walked in to see how much a mani/​pedi was… $ 75 is what I was quoted. I kindly declined not because of the price,(I’ve worked in the beauty industry for years and know how much a higher end nail place is) I declined because of the snotty you probably can’t afford it response to my question. Slow your roll, you aren’t that much of a step up from one of the cheaper places… I’ve seen your work.

— No awful chemical smell
Cons
— There’s gel paint all over the cuticles and fingertips.
— My simple ombré glitter design did not come out very well (see pics)
— My manicurist multi-​tasked a lot… she even took a wax appointment while my hands sat in acetone for 20 min.

I recently went to nails 2 Envy after being recommended by a coworker. As terrible as it sounds I was pleasantly surprised when a Caucasian women answer the phone, not because I have anything against the other women, just that it’s nice to be able to communicate what it is I’m looking for. I booked an appointment with Emilie for the very next day.
I was running a little bit late, so I called ahead to warn Emilie and she was very gracious, telling me to take my time. As much as I truly do hate to be late, it seems that I am late quite frequently! So, you can imagine how this gave me some relief and I could take my time getting there without wanting to kill everyone around me. Although my coworker did recommend the place she had never been there herself just had heard good things, so I was still apprehensive about the quality of work and if they were going to be able to do what it was that I wanted.
I am VERY particular about my nails and have sadly grown accustomed to someone TELLING me what I want instead of asking. Once I finally arrived and was sitting at Emilie’s table, I was so happy, excited and relieved to see that she was a true professional. I was about to have my nails done, the way I WANTED, for the first time in years! Moving forward, from start to finish, the entire experience was my idea of picture perfect. I absolutely love my nails. Everything about them from the shape to the color to the texture. did I mention that Emilie is also an artist and can do any of the cool designs you find online?! Amazing.
We laughed & exchanged stories (we’re both in the beauty industry) and all in all it was a great experience. The one suggestion that I would have is for the business to post larger & brighter signage so that people may locate the building more easily. Outside of that, keep up the great work!
