Our Mission at the Santa Cruz Bujinkan Dojo:

To help people as much as possible to enhance their lives with martial arts.

History

Established in 1992.

We have had a school of the Bujinkan in Santa Cruz for years as well as a club up at UCSC. Our new location, right across the street from our old home, is big, airy, and we love it. We have been studying Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu under Maasaki Hatsumi, with the 9 traditions of ninjutsu as our core curriculum. Mark Roemke is the head instructor of Santa Cruz Bujinkan Dojo and has been in this area since 1991.

Business Owner

Mark Roemke has been training in martial arts for over 30 years with Black Belt or higher ranks in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (14^th Dan), Enshin Itto Ryu Battojutsu (1^st Dan), Kempo Kung Fu (2^nd Dan), Tae Kwon Do (3^rd Dan), DeCuerdas Eskrima (1^st Level) and Seibukan Jujutsu (1^st Dan), Mark served in the 10^th Mountain Infantry of the United States Army. Mark loves the ocean and surfing, climbing, shooting, archery, running, dancing, yoga, weight lifting, and having more fun and then more fun. Mark says «I have been studying healing arts such as massage, different forms of meditation and energy work to enhance all aspects of my life and the journey continues to be a really fun and beautiful process».
