Everyone knows I love Tiger Woods and needed some balls but I bought the wrongs balls! The tall man behind the counter was very helpful and made the return transaction painless. Thank you tall man behind the counter.

I’m no Chi-Chi Rodriguez. If fact, I don’t really golf more than once a year. Which is a shame really, as my friends and I seem to have a God-given talent to cram a dozen+ beers into a single golf bag. I do have, however, a golf-crazed father-in-law. And shopping for him is a no-brainer. So I headed into Santa Cruz’s only golf shop to pick him up a Christmas offering. I’ve gotta say, for the sole«golf-only» store in all of Saint Cruz, this place is pretty pinner(small, that is). A very slight selection of golf wear and related accessories. A decent club selection for the small space, but all in all, I couldn’t manage to buy anything there, despite my desire to do so. Nor was I approached by a staff person. There is one of those golf simulators, where you can hit golf balls into a video screen, which I imagine if you are a golfer, is like a wave pool to a surfer stuck on a Disney cruise ship. Regardless, its too bad I had to wait until I was over the hill to buy the golf gift at a golf shop that actually had adequate amounts of merch, as I hate to take my tax dollars out of town. Seems like there should easily be the market for a legitimate golf store in SC…
