I had put off going to the dentist for several years, mainly because I moved to Monterey County. A friend recommended Santa Cruz Dental Group when I couldn’t find any reputable dentists near my house that could get me in without waiting months.
My first visit was pain free and such a relief. Dr. Robinson and his staff were so gentle and patient. They assuaged my fears by explaining what the xray images of my mouth meant and made a treatment plan.
Mercifully, I didn’t end up with any fillings, but did get a cleaning. I followed up with a deep or «root» cleaning that spanned several more visits, but each time the staff was cordial and convivial. No pain, just annoyance of having an open mouth during an extended cleaning.
I highly recommend biting the bullet (pun intended) and get back in to see the dentist! Make an appointment with Dr. Robinson!

Had a horrible toothache and couldn’t reach my regular dentist. I called around 3:30pm on a Friday, they got my information and had me come in the same day. Incredible, friendly, dedicated service. Very clean, comfortable facility. Knowledgable Doctor that took the time (on a Friday evening) to figure out the root (no pun intended) of the problem and fix it.

Dr. Robinson and his staff are a model dental group. He is so very kind and generous, and his staff, particularly Kathy, my hygienist, and Cheri, the head admin, are incredibly friendly and always remember details about me that go beyond my teeth and dental insurance!
They have great hours, and even do hygiene appointments on weekends. They are up-​to-​date on the latest technology and techniques, and also have fantastic resources for kids. My boys have grown up with them.
Dr. Robinson has been my dentist for about fifteen years. I have even moved to the East Bay, but come back to Santa Cruz for my dental appointments. Ask him about his dogs, his running marathons (he ran the Boston marathon on that terrible day) and playing the clarinet!

I’m new to the area and had a urgent matter with my dental bridge. Saw the good reviews on Unilocal and called the office. The staff was very kind and helpful. They found a way to fit me in that day. Dr. Robinson was very gentle and kind. I will be back and will recommend them too!

Other dentists tried to put me on a month waitlist. Called yesterday and Dr. Rob fixed my chipped tooth the next day. Definitely go here

Dr. Wagner and staff have been great! I have been a patient for a number of years now an I would highly recommend them. Kelsey is awesome, very friendly, attentive and helpful beyond her call of duty. Dr. Wagner makes you feel at ease, always has a smile and listens to any concerns you may have. All the dental hygienist have been very gentle and attentive. Very professional all around.

Dr Robinson is the BEST… He really cares about helping people no matter what their status, he’s gentle and kind, and does great work.

Dr. Wagner is the bomb dot com. Susan is the best for teeth cleanings and she plays great music ;) Been going here for yearrrrrs.

Just want to say I had an awesome time here after not having been to the dentist in a few years (yes, I’m ashamed to say). Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. They also answered all of my stupid questions without judgement. Dare I say I actually enjoyed my time there?!

I needed a new dentist after moving to SC for college and I could’ve not made a better choice. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
I just had my teeth cleaned today by Susan and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better cleaning in my life. She was so thorough and it wasn’t painful at all. My teeth feel the best they ever have.
I’m happy I chose this office.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in an alarming number of years and I’d heard good things about SC Dental, so I signed up to see Dr. Wagner. In the past few months I’ve had x-​rays, a checkup and cleaning, and two cavity fillings, and each experience has been great. I mentioned to his receptionist Kellsie that I don’t have a lot of expendable income, so before every procedure she’s always careful to explain exactly what’s going to happen and exactly how much it will cost. I can’t emphasize enough how awesome that is.
All the staff are super friendly and knowledgable. Highly highly recommended.

All the staff here are SO NICE! They tend to all your needs and make sure your visit with them is the best that it can be.
I was missing my delta care information, all I had was my Kaiser medical card. I knew I had dental insurance covered because I usually take care of all this in San Francisco.
So the nice lady receptionist told me that all they needed were my dad’s information and they can help me check what I had covered. And that is indeed what they did. I got all the paperwork in and they had me registered quick. The lady was quick, professional, courteous, and kind. Everything expected from a great receptionist.
The wait was not long until they called my name. I went in, did a couple x-​rays, and got check up with my dentist. Everything went smooth and each and every staff had great customer service.
If you are scared and afraid of the dentist, you most definitely will not be here.
Definitely recommend this place for any dental checkups or anything related to that matter.
