Need some advice or like the comfort of knowing someone is there to help? Come in M-​F 8am-​2pm and one of our friendly attendants will be happy to help you with any questions or problems you may have.

We are family owned and operated, and between us we have over 50 years of laundry experience. And if you want to take a break from doing your laundry, we will gladly do it for you for $ 1.25 per lb (10 lb minimum, price excludes household items).

Come by and give us a try. We have free coffee in the mornings on weekdays and take pride in providing outstanding customer service. Without our great customers, we wouldn’t be here.

History

Established in 1990.

This business was purchased in 2009 from its previous owners and is working hard to turn things around and get back to the Seabright Laundromat everyone knows and loves. We are family owned and operated and so we have a personal connection to our business and customers.

This is the priciest laundromat i have ever been to 2.75 per load? Its never more than 2 $ anywhere. They don’t even have the courtesy of unlocking bathroom door for customers. Worse place ever. Their magazines are so old you can take em up to auction off for memorabilia. Newsweek from 1995.

I really only have apartment complex coin-​op experiences to compare this one to. I like that they offer free wifi and I’ve never had a problem with any of the other customers, but I have had washers eat my money, pulled dry clothes out of the wash, washers started at the same time on the same settings finish 5 minutes apart, and the machines just smell kind of old/​unclean…

My friend and I did some laundry at Seabright laundry while on our 2 month roadtrip across the west coast. I had a pair of pants that were still stained and muddy after the first wash, so I asked the owner if she had any tips on how to clean them. She proceeded to use three different products to scrub out the stains and gave me a free wash on the jeans. Not to mention the complimentary coffee she offered us when we walked in. This place is wonderful!!! Thank you for fixing my favorite pants!

WOW! Sometimes you don’t know how good ya got it until you lose it! This place literally spoiled me&my family! Now moved away, I appreciate Chris & all her personal dedication to her work! I am here for extra 25 minutes and 10.00 poorer due to a machine failing. I have contacted the address before when the dryer glass fell on my foot. Nothing. I come here for convenience nothing more. Too bad they are more concerned with collecting money than providing a good service.
I am going to contact these cretins about a refund.

I love Seabright Laundromat! It is so clean and the staff is so friendly! Cris was very helpful and patient with my family! We were able to sit and use the wifi for free and even got a complimentary cup of coffee!

Drier was really more of a «damper» — never got above «cool» and after many tries clothes were cold, wrinkled and damp. Fortunately our hotel provides an iron.
No candy machine.
Seemed kind of expensive for damp clothes. 5 minutes for a quarter.
Best I can say is it’s better than washing your clothes in the surf. At least in January.

Washing machines always break and they refuse to refund when they do. I spent over an hour and a half trying to dry clothes after the washer left them dripping wet. Never going back even though I live across the street.

Needed to wash some clothes for the 2nd half of the back trip, this place worked for what it was but we were surprised how expensive doing a load of laundry was! $ 6.75 for a wash load in one of the industrial washers and .25 for 5 min in the dryers. Felt it took quite a while for the high heat on the dryer to dry what was about ½ — ¾ load in washer. over all there was a few ‘locals’ in here and we chatted with one outside for a bit he gave us good trip stopping spots for our route south. Over all met our needs and we were grateful for clean duds.

Average run of the mill laundry mat. I haven’t used one in quite a few years unless I was overseas. I thought the prices were quite high (but it has been a long time). They have private parking lot and over all the place wasn’t dirty or dingy. Got the job done.

I have been on a hunt for a «good» laundromat while we are doing a remodel on our house. This place was clean, not too many people, and not too many «out of order» machines! The cost was reasonable, and NO WEIRDOS were hanging out, unlike many other places I’ve been. And what is not to love about a laundromat next to a burger joint, hair salon, and bar! Definitely going back!

I wanted to like this place. It’s near my home and has good hours. The problems this this place are the machines are in a state of terrible disrepair. Of the 30 or so total washers and dryers I counted 13 that are marked as out of order. And they sit that way for weeks. Today I washed my nice new black jeans in a front loader and noticed it did not fill on the rinse cycle. Apparently the machine was getting no cold water. I had to put the cloths in a top load to finish the rinse. The dryer I put my sheets in had no heat. The owner is pleasant enough but just makes excuses saying it costs a lot to keep the machines running. In all due respect, that’s not the customers problem. My problem now is that I have clothes that shrank because the washer filled with hot water instead of warm and I am out money as well. Steer away from this place. You can’t afford to ruin your cloths.

The BEST laundromat in Santa Cruz. Nice variety of washers, plenty of dryers, always clean! Location, Location, Location — who could ask for it any better than here, there are enough amenities around this place to keep you busy all day! And can I just say that the 2 associates working there are the 2 nicest people in Santa Cruz! Sometimes I don’t even mind that I have to do laundry because their kindness to others amazes me everytime I’m in there!

This place is cheap. Washers start at $ 2 per load. The dryers are standard. The best part of this place is the location. It’s next to a bar and down the street from a coffee shop, brewery, and other establishments. Do some laundry and watch a game.

Half the dryers I tried didn’t work. They just took my money and didn’t do anything after pushing start. Baffling that one can run a business this way. At least label the machines that are out of order! Seems the regulars know which ones to avoid. On the flip side you can walk to the beach from here.

This is a family owned — family run facility. The owners are very nice. Considering that most of the machines are older — a few do smell: This is the only reason I did not give the Seabright 5 stars.
To the ‘sour grapes’ former employee that doesn’t want to allow homeless people to wash their clothes. Your words have painted a not-​so eloquent portrait of your mind.

Laundromat is extremely clean and bright. SEABRIGHT BREWERY IS NEXT DOOR. Seabright beach is one block away.
Here is why I gave 5 stars. I walk in and there is a ton of open machines and clean space. The attendant gave me a cup of coffee. I put my loads in the wash and went for a beer at the brewery. I can back and threw my stuff in the dryer and then walked down to the beach. Easy cheezy.
They also have a fluff and fold service I have used, which is a nice break sometimes.

This place is gross. Old machines, half of them are broken every time I’ve been there, and the place just seems dirty. I’ve definitely seen some dirty people washing dirty things there. One time I saw this famous Santa Cruz bum (the one with the backpack, short shorts and long hair that walks around EVERYWHERE) washing his dirty undies and whatever else he has to wash there.
The top-​loaders are $ 2.25 per load and can’t hold much at all. Last time I went there, I had literally 3 towels in a washer, and the machine stopped working mid-​wash cycle on me. I didn’t want to pay extra for another load, so I took them home, sprayed off all the soap with a hose and let them air dry.
$ 0.25 for 5 min of drying. This is maybe the one good, consistent thing about the place.
After finding Surf City Suds, I don’t think I would ever come back here again.
