I have been successfully representing people accused of crimes for over 20 years. I practice in the Santa Cruz, Monterey, Salinas, San Jose, Palo Alto, San Mateo, Hollister, and East Bay areas.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. I graduated with honors from UCSB in 1986 with a BA degree in Law and Society. After a year skiing and working in Mammoth Lakes, I entered Loyola Law School in 1987 and graduated in 1990. I passed the California State Bar in 1990, and later that year began working with Biggam, Christensen and Minsloff, a law firm in Santa Cruz representing people accused of crimes. I started my own criminal defense practice in 1995, and have been successfully and aggressively representing clients in trouble with the law, DMV, or facing UCSC disciplinary actions ever since. I am married and my wife and I live in the Santa Cruz area.

Andrew Janecki went out of his way to help me with a minor infraction in Davis. He made sure I understood everything that was going to happen before we got there to help with any nerves. This is based on a phone consultation. Andrew is terse to the point of being rude, interrupted numerous times and had the nerve to ask how I thought he could help. Hint: the reason for calling an attorney is seek representation. On top of that is free for a traffic offense is 3x what good attorneys in the SF area charge. I would not recommend taking the time to even do a phone consultation.
