Brought my car in on a saturday without an appointment due to a rough idle. Garrett helped me out in a pinch. Checked my compression, did some troubleshooting. very knowledgable and affordable. Glad to have found him.

I got a few quotes for a catalytic converter replacement on my 2007 Toyota Prius and knew I could trust Garret because of our interaction. Garret was extremely patient… he ran the car diagnostics in front of me, showed me the error messaged and explained what it actually meant. He also gave me a history of his work with Toyota, which really gave me confidence in his knowledge. After that he provided the estimate for the part and answered all my questions on why I received so many varying quotes on the same job! In the end, his price was not only the best, but his service exceeded all my expectations. Not only did he fix the original issue I came in for, he performed a thorough inspection on my car for any other potential issues.
I really appreciated being treated like a human being and will only go to Garret for future auto needs.

Garrett is super awesome! Very intelligent and diligent in his automotive practice. I keep forgetting to write a review, but finally I got around to it. The owner and co workers are all super friendly and filled me in on some info on my car I wasn’t aware of. I called a day early to schedule an appointment for an oil change, a day later I was in and out within 30 – 45 minutes. My car requires synthetic oil so I think it was roughly 60 bucks.

Tiger Motors is excellent!!! I stopped by to look into having service done to my 3 series and they fit me in right away. Garrett got the parts delivered immediately while the other mechanic Alex started working on my car. I’m skeptical about taking my car to non-​dealer shops as I’m use to Peter Pan BMW. I’m definitely taking my car back to Tiger Motors as you can’t be the price as well as the Coors Light! ;)

Garret is awesome! Always takes great care of me. Love this shop. Super trustworthy and such a great staff. Got me and my car on the road and back to business fast. I would recommend them to all my friends.

Garrett is amazing. My boss needed an oil change ASAP, I called him up and he said just drop it off and I’ll squeeze you in. Within a few hours he called and it was ready. Super friendly, and very affordable, I highly recommend Tiger Motors!

Garret is very knowledgeable, easy to work with and friendly. His prices are reasonable and he doesn’t push any repairs that aren’t immediately needed. He’s the type of mechanic I like, because I am pretty knowledgeable about car and just need somebody to do the work I need and diagnose things that are beyond me. I had lost brake pressure on a trip home on the 17. Pulled over and added fluid and it helped a bit. This lead me to believing I had a leak in the brake system. Garret confirmed my brake lines were worn and not holding pressure. On a 25 year old car, this kind of thing might happen.
Garret was cool and said «Your car is pretty clean for 300K.» I really like my LS400 and intend to keep it on the road, so it’s good to have Garret/​Tiger Motors around the block.

This is the best place in Santa Cruz to bring your car. Garret is efficient, honest, and great at his job. He explains everything that needs to be done and all available options-​like a good doctor-​a great car doctor!

Garrett and his team came highly recommended and did not disappoint. They are professional, highly qualified, prompt, straight-​forward, honest, understanding and their work is reasonably priced. My husband and I drive from San Jose to have our cars serviced and a family member drives from Felton. Worth the drive!

I needed to get my 90,000 mile service on my Toyota, which is a major service. And very expensive. So, I shopped around calling on auto service centers with high ratings on Unilocal.Garrett from Tiger motors suggested that I drop by and check them out. So, I did.
When I went to Tiger Motors I was pleasantly surprised when Garrett, the owner, came out and greeted me. He was very cordial and did a few things for me for free while I was there. I scheduled an appointment and He added a bit of oil for me because I was going on a trip over the weekend before I was going to get my car serviced. He noticed that one of my tires was low and put air in it.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I am happy to say that I went with Tiger Motors it’s really nice to be able to talk to someone who can explain what the problem is with my car in everyday language. The price that they gave me was competitive and they were extremely friendly.
I highly recommend Tiger motors especially to Toyota owners – Think about how nice it would be to have your car worked on by a person instead of a technician with a number that you never get to see.

Garett Cotton is the man to trust with any Toyota problem. He has given me flawless advice on repairs from 80’s Toyota work trucks to Highlanders Hybrids and Priuses.
I would rather take my vehicles here than the dealer. He knows them that well.

Honest, reasonable, accommodating and friendly — these are all the things that Garrett proved to be. I was referred here by a friend when asking for a recommendation on where to get my brakes done. He not only worked with my schedule but gave me a great price and was thorough and just provided good vibes overall. It is hard to find an honest person in general in this day and age and to find one in the car repair business is a bonus. Will go back for additional work. Thanks Garrett and team!

Garrett is a very down to earth, realistic, and nice young man. He fixed up my ford ranger for significantly cheaper than the other shops in town estimated. He also talked me through everything he was doing. Very professional, very courteous, highly recommended. Don’t take your car to the schmucks at dealerships that often will sabotage another component to get more work. Tiger motors is the real deal.

I came to Tiger based on a client’s recommendation when my car started acting up. I had just bought a used car and Garrett went over everything he found, showed me how it was tested and explained my options. He was very upfront and honest. He has great prices and is a genuinely good guy. I definitely will continue using him as well as send friends and family here in the future.

I’ve been to a lot of mechanics… my Lexus has 288K miles on it… and Garrett is the best. He explains things and shows you what he is doing. He got the work done exactly when he said he would at the promised price. He offered to pick me up or drop off my car. But the best thing was the price. He did a timing belt at a third the price of other places I’ve been to.
He really knows the car and pointed things out to me that no one else has.
Oh yeah: he finds you the best and cheapest parts. I had a steering wheel motor burn out. That would be $ 400 plus anywhere else. He took it apart and found it was one gear that was stripped. He got on eBay, found the gear and fixed the motor while I watched. That’s when I knew I was dealing with a pro who knew the best way to help customers.
My only fear in writing this is he will get too popular and I won’t be able to get in when I need him… but wth… have to help the guy who helped me and help y’all find a mechanic you can trust.

I go to Tiger Motors every time i have any car issues. Garrett has been very helpful and consistent with his work. I go to UCSC and he always finds a way to work around my schedule to help me with my car.
