Smog Check Too

I was having a hard time finding a trustworthy place to get my smog check. Went on Unilocal and found this place. The customer service was the best I’ve found at a car place. Andy explained everything to me and made me feel at ease. His service was quick and professional and I’ll definitely be recommending him to my friends.

I needed to get a SMOG CHECK for a transfer and renewal of tags. I don’t get much done after work with two toddlers, so I decided to try and do the SMOG on my 45min lunch break. The car passed and I was done within 20 minuntes, I even had time to grab some lunch. Thank you for the fast friendly service! You guys just made my life a little easier. :)

I was in line at AAA, about to pay my renewal fees, when I looked over my DMV notice again and read «SMOG Certification.» Yikes! I had to get this done ASAP. After searching Google for smog stations in my area, I decided to check this place out.
I called beforehand to ask the price, where the gentleman I spoke with told me it’d be $ 59.95. He asked if I had the coupon, which I didn’t, but he said he’d give me the coupon price of $ 40 flat!
The one downside is that this shop is located in a lot with several other auto body shops, so it’s hard to park without interfering with the other businesses.
This place is inexpensive and clean, and the guys who work here are easy to understand. The fast service made my day so much better, as well. I will definitely come back for future smog checks.

Okay, I decided to update my review. I realize 2 years ago I came here and gave Andy 3 stars. I’m reassessing my review and changing it to 5 stars for a couple of reasons. 1. The guy is good, he’s a good guy. 2. He cares about his work, his marketing strategies and wants to provide a good experience. You’re in good hands my friends.

I stumbled upon Smog Check Too on Unilocal while browsing for a spot before my lunch. The station is small, but expected as its a test only station. The entire process was very quick and the tech, Andy was very friendly and kind.
If asked, «What could a smog check station do to gain 4 or 5 stars?» Well, I came during my lunch and I had my sandwich with me and he offered me a chair to sit on and placed it in the shade under a tree. It was a pretty hot day and it was actually really nice to be eating my lunch outside.
Overall, a great experience! Affordable? $ 40, yes! Quick? Yeah, less than 20 minutes! Customer Service? Hell yeah, F**cking Awesome service!

This place is clean, the tech is very friendly. I felt safe in the comfy waiting room and I only had to wait for about 20 minutes. Made a not-​fun chore almost pleasant. Now I know where I’m getting my car smogged from now on which is a relief!

So I’m here at this station. Just like the review with one star before. The owner could have told me my car won’t pass due to check engine light. Again he took my money and ran the test. Of course it didn’t pass. I was told I can get a free retest, of course it’s not free since he didn’t mentioned to me (to be fair, it was written) it was 7 days only. So I came back here for no reason except to pay again. After my test failed the first time, I was told I can illegally get it passed for an additional 120 dollars. Of course I turned it down because I wanted to fix my problem not cover it up. I am retesting now and the dealershi said they resolved the problem so it should pass with flying colors. Let see if this smog tech will pull another one on me.
I only came here because it was the closest smog station to my house. I hope this is just a bad experience on my part and the owner didn’t do anything wrong. Conclusion– he knew my light was on and couldn’t pass and could have just told me. I would have brought it back.
Smog here is $ 40.00. Just make sure you ask him to tell you if the check engine light is on or if there are errors. He has a small device that plugs into your car and can tell you right away without checking.

Three things are necessary for a good smog check: quick, easy and affordable … this place has it all! And great customer service too!

In at 8, out at 8:20, certificate in hand. Reasonable price. Unlike most automotive shops, too bad I can only patronize them once every two years.

Fast, convenient, and cheap. Those three conditions are all I need for a smog check place, and this small little shop satisfies all three conditions. A+!
