I have been coming here for about a year now and Chanelle has been doing my hair and knows exactly what I want and has always been on point. She always takes her time and is very attentive. This place also has 3 TV’s to watch while you wait. I highly recommend this place.

My husband got his hair cut by a young lady there named Frenchie and he came home like this. I felt so bad for him! He did think it was a weird that she didn’t show him the back. He wasn’t aware that she had cut him up like this. If you don’t know how to use a straight razor… please don’t.

This was my first time getting my haircut at this barbershop and all I have to say is, wow! They really know what they are doing. So often I feel like I am getting over charged for a haircut, but not here.
I got my haircut by a gentleman by the name of Steven and he did a phenomenal job in making sure every detail of my haircut was excellent. I was blown away that I got the haircut that I did for the price that it was. It was a steal considering the way my hair looks now.
They also have big flat screen tvs and play a movie while you’re in there. It has a laid back feel and is a comfortable place to come and get a hair cut and rest.
Definitely coming back again to get my haircut. I will no longer be using the services of big haircut companies – over priced and not a good enough job.

I’ve sampled a bunch of barbers since moving back to the area and this is where i stuck. Staff is nice, facility is nice, and they do a great job.

First time getting my haircut here, I would say I’m pretty satisfied. The girl who cut my hair was friendly and did a good job doing a fade on the sides, although I’ve had better cuts in the past. The place is clean with nice couches and tvs for entertainment. Also there was no wait when I came, WIN.

Thank once again Sergio my kids loved the haircut I truly recommend people to go best customer service and friendly! You won’t regret it thank u again Sergio !

I moved out to the area and had trouble finding a decent Barber. I recommend Serg. He’s been doing a great job.

Been coming here for about a year now after leaving my old barber shop in Whittier since I now live in la Mirada and I love it here! Matt has been cutting my hair since the first day I came in and he never disappoints! After every cut everyone at work compliments my cut! I love it and I can always count on Matt ow giving me a nice fresh cut

Too bad they give nice haircuts, but they don’t have a sign-​in sheet or anything like that, so you have to hope they remember you came in before someone else did, or they’ll have you waiting until the new year or something. Another thing, there’s 7 of them and they all work insanely slow. I’ve waited over an hour and a half for my boyfriend to get his haircut. The main reason is because they all talk too much, a little too much that it’s uncomfortable, and are easily distracted. We’ve been here numerous times, and I’ve noticed they like to stop in the middle of their job to check their phones, or like to stop just to talk to one another. Very unprofessional. Easily could have been a 4 – 5 stars, due to location, price and interior, but little things like that can ruin the rating.

I have been a regular client for almost 2 years and now it’s time to review. I work in the area so I come for my regular cut and theres a reason why I come back each month: great service and good atmosphere. Allow me to elaborate. I’ve been to quite a few barbershops and usually they’re small, crammed with at least 10 other clients waiting for their turn, shoulder to shoulder, elbow to eblow, or sometimes there won’t be a place to sit so some clients have to stand. And let’s face it, it takes at least 45 minutes to an hour to have to wait crammed like sardines for a haircut.
But The Takeover is different. Their shop is large enough to accommodate 15+ clients at any given time with plenty of seating plus you can watch TV while you wait. They don’t just have one TV, THEY HAVE 4! Never in my life have I been to a barbershop with 4 TV’s. When they first opened up, they have 3 TV’s so adding a 4^th is a welcome addition. The owner is a great guy with a strong work ethic and cares about the clients and his staff. The wait is usually a pleasant experience here because I have enough room to lounge on the couch, enjoy a movie or sporting event on the TV, and chop it up with the barbers. If I’m going to wait at least an hour for a haircut, I’m going to do it comfortably on a sofa watching TV right here at The Takeover. I really can’t imagine going to any other barbershop. Cheers.

Wasn’t satisfied with how one of the barber there cut my hair. However, Brianna the Barber fixed me right up. Very sweet lady.
I will still be returning there regardless of the experience. I would recommend sticking with Sergio, the guy next to Sergio (forgot his name, I think it was Brian), and Brianna.

I’ve been here a couple times now and the atmosphere, talent, and price is way on point.
Matt cuts my hair and does a great job each time. A series of unlucky run ins with local barber shops and a recommendation from my bud led me here. I’m glad.
Each time I come in I’m offered a water or beer. 3 big comfortable couches and 3 – 4 flat screens coupled with a free beverage makes any wait time a breeze.
This is a great barber shop atmosphere without being douchy like a couple of the other ones I’ve been to.
I’ll be back guaranteed.

Been coming here for a while. I’m fairly new to La Mirada so it was hard for me to trust a new place. Until I found The TakeOver I would drive my son to Long Beach or Santa Ana for his razor fades.
I usually go with Mike he’s the guy with the handle bar mustache. Always polite, attentive and ready to work. Every time we’ve been here always makes it a point to offer us a drink and make sure we a happy.
Sent my now husband here for our wedding day haircut. I knew they would do a great job and I wouldn’t have to worry about his hair for our wedding pictures.
