Description

Specialties

Last Gallery on the Right owner Linda Storm is pleased to offer you the richness of cultural diversity through art. She represents work by 13 international artists who live and create in Northern New Mexico. Here one can find large and small contemporary sculptures, miniature to huge paintings of landscapes, monsters, figures, trees, and animals in naïve, cubist, abstract and representational styles. The gallery is located in a 300 year old home, where the scent of coffee adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Often you will enter the gallery to find one of the artists working on a new painting. It is a haven for locals, as well as the tired traveler. An internationally known art collector who purchased paintings here wrote in the gallery guestbook «Last Gallery On The Right is the best gallery on Canyon Road.» Unfortunately he was in such a hurry that he couldn’t relax in our lovely courtyard. If Linda is not present, another artist will welcome your comments and questions.

History

Established in 2011.

The opportunity to become a gallery owner came as an unexpected and complete surprise to artist Linda Storm. She brushed it away, but it kept coming back. When she finally met with her landlord to discuss the lease he stated that if she opened a gallery at that location it would be the last gallery on the right. It was like a light switched on. She signed the lease, and everything fell into place as if it was meant to be.
