Teca Tu – A Pawsworthy Emporium & Deli

We love our neighborhood pet store! Our three dogs are always eager for the opportunity to visit Teca Tu. The owners, each very welcoming and knowledgeable, are accessible for questions but low-​pressure in their sales approach. They sell high quality products and often have first hand knowledge from trying things out at home with their own dogs. And we really appreciate Teca Tu’s ongoing generosity toward community good works — they actively support multiple local shelter and rescue programs.

We would never recommend this store to anyone. Prices are high, customer service lacking, & they are concerned with profit not your dogs comfort or health. We used to buy speciality items here over the years. Recently, we bought dog booties for our dog to wear due to all the cactus where we usually walked him. He had never encountered cactus before & went crazy screaming & jumping around when he got a cholla in his paw. Our other dogs are desert savvy and stop and act sane when they get a cholla in their paw. Anyways, we took our dog in & fitted him for booties, paid $ 81 for a set of 4 booties for a 27lb dog & off we went. After 4 days of walking him, he had raw bleeding spots on his pads from the booties. We got online & from the product site we found out that they had fitted him wrong and not used the correct sizing chart from the product site. On day 7, we took the booties and the sizing chart from the site into the store to see if we could get the right size. They were completely unhelpful. They didn’t know about the product site or its recommendations on how to rightfully size & fit its product. When we clearly showed them that they sold us the wrong size per the companies own recommendations they just said they couldn’t help us. No refund or exchange option. We left the chart there so maybe the next customers will get better service or at least the staff might be more knowledgable about the products they are selling. Good luck. I won’t shop there again.

Very passionate about your pet? This is the store to visit! Very well laid out. Great selection of foods, toys and snacks. If you are looking for luxury bedding, look no further. Obviously pet friendly and accommodating. Friendly knowledgable staff for all your needs. Beautiful Santa Fe designs displayed and sold for all sizes

I think this place may be the best pet store that we have ever been to! They have an amazing selection on both well known and unique pet items, an incredibly knowledgable staff, and exceptional service. We came in looking for a specific harness for our Jack-​a-​Chi pup, and were so excited when we found it. Unfortunately, we bought the XS instead of the XXS as we should have, but we didn’t realize that it was too big on him until hours later. We returned to Teca Tu and asked if we could exchange the slightly worn but fur laden harness for the XXS, and it was no problem at all. In fact, we bought an adorable little down vest on our second visit and would return again and again if we still lived in New Mexico. High quality food and treats are everywhere that you look, and the whole store is all about your furry little friends. Owners and staff are amazing! Highly recommended!!!

Beatiful store. Great selection of just about everything. Went to look for a sling carrier but wound up buying a front pet carrier which my Maltipoo loves. Priced right. Staff or owner, not sure which, gave great customer service. A little hard to find bit worth the search.

Outstanding customer service. Caring and compassionate. A large bag of merchandise purchased on Black Friday was stolen in the mall. They replaced everything at their cost! Wow. The selection of merchandise is high quality, interesting and complete. Check out their website too! A must stop in Santa Fe.

My dream pet store! My special dog Pampa found her collar here… complete with silver and turquoise! After picking that out we found dog treats, grooming brush and other accessories we had to have. This store is a pet lovers dream with high quality pet food and beautiful pieces crafted by local artists. A must visit pet emporium with a huge selection… I’ll be back!

Cute little store, love all the stuff in there but most of it was way out of my price range. they seem to have some pretty decent sales tho so check it out. the baked treats are really good my dog loves them

Dog collars, cat collars, leashes and dishes galore! I always prefer to shop at locally owned stores instead of the corporate places and the Teca Tu is no exception. If you are one of those jerks who likes to torture your beloved pet with goofy costumes and navajo sweaters then you are sure to find something here. If you just like spoiling your dog with high quality treats, they have a little kitchen section chock full of china and snacks. Likewise if you don’t have a pet but just want a bunch of stuffed ones, they have those too.
There are neat trinkets and knicknacks for people with or without pets. Great place to get gifts for animal lovers.
All around it’s a kickass store!
