We are a sheep and goat dairy specializing in handcrafted cheeses, both raw milk and pasteurized. As an integrated agriculture ranch, we also raise pastured chickens (and eggs) and heirloom pork fed whey from the cheese making and finished on acorns. For several years we have also offered a Farm Stay, similar to a B&B, including breakfast with products from the ranch and garden. We are also an event site for weddings, tours, and educational activities.
History
Established in 1999.
Rinconada Dairy was founded to raise dairy sheep and goats and produce handcrafted raw milk cheeses. We were licensed by the state of California in 2004 and added pasteurized cheeses in 2012. The whey by-product of cheesemaking became an excellent food for heirloom pigs in 2008, which are finished on the acorns from the native oaks. We have always raised pastured chickens for our own consumption and sale to the public. In 2008 we opened our home to people looking for a farm experience, and have since hosted tours, weddings and concerts.
