The best! We got our wedding rings here and Tina completely breathes new life into my husband’s band, which was his father’s and severely warped. She had it rebuilt and then we dipped it in white gold so it was the color he wanted. Probably one of my favorite places ever… such gorgeous pieces!

We were put in touch with 23^rd Street Jewelers by our insurer, after some of our jewellery was stolen. We dealt with Paolo. In the other reviews on this page, several of Harling’s staff are thanked by name, and Paolo is mentioned frequently with effusive praise. Well, cautiously skeptical reader, don’t be skeptical — we figure that the praise must have been fully deserved. It was in our case.
Beginning with clear explanations of the process and our options, through choosing the replacement jewellery, through 23^rd Street Jewelers expeditious handling of the paperwork, including various complimentary services and touches along the way, the whole procedure went like a charm. It was almost a pleasure. .. though we hope never to have to deal with 23^rd Street Jewelers again in similar circumstances. But in all other circumstances, normal (non-​burglarizes) situations, for whatever concerns jewellery, 23^rd Street Jewelers will be at the top of our list.

After a freak accident mangled my favorite ring, I came here to see if it could be repaired. They suggested I come back after my finger was no longer swollen so that they can be sure to size it correctly. Upon returning several weeks later, I gave my ring to them salvage. Even though I didn’t expect perfection, but I got was my beautiful ring back as good as new. The setting was repaired, the ring straightened out. It was polished, clean and shiny! It was absolutely perfect. I was also surprised that the repair was so priced reasonable. I appreciate their help.

My fiancé bought my engagement ring here, and I had the pleasure of meeting all the women at 23^rd Street Jewelers when I went to get it resized. They were all so excited about our engagement and made me feel special. They even put a rush on the ring being resized because they knew I was headed to a friend’s bachelorette party and they said, «Oh, you have to have your ring for that!»
My fiancé and I then returned almost one year later to buy our wedding bands. Once again, we were more than happy with our experience. They have beautiful inventory and both of us found the wedding bands of our dreams! The ladies make the process fun and seem genuinely happy for you!

First off, these people rescue dogs. Kind of tells you everything right there.
While the store is small, it’s filled with amazing jewelry and amazing people. We were greeted by two wonderful dogs, both rescues. Then it was off to the jewelry.
The designs are unique and beautiful. The staff is kind and extremely knowledgeable. I left the store laughing and with a smile on my face!

They took my grandmother’s stone and worked with my fiancé’s hand drawn sketch to make a custom ring, and I am so grateful. it will forever be meaningful. Highly recommended.

Okay, so there’s a ton of great things I can say about 23^rd St. Jewelers, but let me sum it up with ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Why, you ask? Well, like Randall below me, I too bought my diamond from NYC and brought it in to have them do a custom setting. The ladies were more than helpful and were more than happy to verify the diamond I bought was exactly what the cert stated. But, besides that…
…there was one thing in particular that convinced me the ladies of 23^rd St. were the ones I wanted to do business with… respect. Allow me to explain. I spent the better part of the last year understanding diamonds. Like learning CUT is probably the most important of the 4Cs or how the impact of fluorescence can help you save money (ask me and I’ll tell you). I even learned that the term «Triple X» isn’t exclusive to just the porn industry (ask and I’ll tell). It was going to be a big purchase and I wanted to know as much as I could. So, when I eventually headed into jewelry stores I was surprised how little credit the jewelers would give us buyers. Not to say every person that walks into a jewelry store took the kind of time I did, but it was very enlightening and slightly disturbing to see how some of these experts tried to take advantage of me… and no this isn’t a Triple X reference. Of the places I visited I purposely acted as if I knew nothing about diamonds to see who would feed me BS. To my dismay it happened every time… that is until I read these reviews about 23^rd St. What everyone below says about the girls is true, but was most important to me was THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE THAT DIDN’T TRY TO BS ME. They never acted as if they knew more… instead they educated and respected me, the customer.
If you want great craftsmanship and a non-​salesman like approach then 23^rd St is your place.

Many, many (15 – 20) years ago I used 23^rd St jewelry to design & make some pieces for me using some odds & ends I had, including Pearls from my grandmother. I could not have been happier with the results, & the many years that I’ve had wearing my treasures! Recently, I was given a very long pearl necklace, & debated many months on what to do with it… I wasn’t going to wear it. Then I remembered my previous years of experience using 23^rd St Jewelers & decided to stop in with a rough idea on remaking the pearls. I talked to Tina Cyre, & was amazed at how she understood my vision! She started immediately getting parts, & showing me what could be done. She placed all the pieces I had in an ordered design, & showed me how my thoughts could be transformed into a beautiful, functional piece incorporating my Mother’s Cameo, & 2 other heirloom pendants… she created my dream pearl necklace! It took several sessions to get just the perfect piece-​& it is just that-​PERFECT. I am already thinking up more ideas, & will use Tina & 23^rd St. Jewelers! I won’t consider anywhere else for any jewelry purchases, designs, or repairs! I even sold some gold there-​truly one stop shopping.

I’ve gone to them twice — once for engraving and once for fixing a necklace I broke. Both times, the service was excellent and the prices are really good. They are so nice in there and they got both jobs done within 7 business days. I’ll be going back in a few weeks for another engraving job.

My fiancé and I cannot say enough about the ladies at 23^rd Street Jewelers in Santa Monica! First of all, I brought them a diamond I had mailed out from NYC for their honest opinion, and they offered to have it looked at by their specialist and helped me though the whole process of choosing the right rock, even though it wasn’t theirs and they actually recommended I buy from the guy in NYC. They helped me design the most beautiful setting that anyone we show the engagement ring to has ever seen. The compliments never stop! The detail and quality is truly remarkable and I couldn’t be prouder to show everyone what I put on my girl’s finger. It didn’t fit exactly right, so it was sent back and tweaked to perfection, AND they wanted her to be able to wear her new ring for the weekend so they drove it to our house!
We didn’t even consider going anywhere else for the engagement rings. They set me up with a beautiful palladium ring, and didn’t try to sell us on the more expensive platinum. They actually had on the shelf the PERFECT match to my fiancé’s engagement ring, and somehow it fit like it was made for her.
If you want friendly smiles, amazing quality and total professionalism, this is the only place you need to look.

They provided a great service and understood exactly what I wanted after taking the time to talk to me and listen. Couldn’t of been happier with the results and when I went to pay they charged me less than the estimate, which is a good tactic to get return business. I moved from the East Coast over a year ago with a boyfriend. A few moths later we were engaged! To my luck he enlisted 23^rd Street Jewelers at finding the perfect engagement ring for me and now we are on to our wedding bands. The ladies have been nothing but fun to work with — they give honest feedback and have amazing unique pieces. I feel as if the jewelery I purchase from them won’t be seen on every other women in Santa Monica — it all has that one of kind feel to it. Amazing! My husband and I took our bands here to get sized before the wedding. They are heirloom bands and nearly 100 years old so we were nervous about trusting them to anyone. They also have very old engravings of dates and initials that we wanted to remain intact. 23^rd street did a beautiful job! They fit great and the engravings weren’t touched and they did the job in less than a week. They also have great customer service! From the moment you walk you are treated like an old friend. Parking is on street or in neighborhood but isn’t difficult to find. The shop is very small but clean and cozy.

Twenty third St. Jewelers is by far the best Jewelry shop in the city. They use only high end stones, but their prices are still competeitive given that. What you won’t find anywhere else are their unique designs that fill the soul. – Girls, you know what I mean! I have been a customer there since they opened, and whenever I am ready for a new piece, my husband always says – I think you should go over to 23^rd St – they are the best. There is a tasteful array of engagement and eternity bands, as well as beautiful diamond and other precious stone jewelry. They also have exceptional pieces made with unusual colored gems and diamonds. If you are thinking about remaking pieces you already have, they have books of more pieces to inspire you, and will design with you there on the spot. I have never been dissappointed. You can really get anything therre, from tiny diamond earrings to mega sized top end «once in a lifetime» pieces. Best of all, it’s always nice to work with good people you can trust. The ladies at 23^rd street make you feel at home, no pressure, and you will walk out feeling like you have made a new friend. Ask for Tina.

delicate jewelry designs include diamonds, fancy color diamonds and stones & other gems, set in platinum and gold. no unwieldy, clunky david yurman stuff here.
the necklaces, earring, & rings are subtle, yet arresting, designs you will not find elsewhere. their work in platinum is particularly elegant, & there is quite a range of it, which is unusual. i usually associate platinum with modernist, sterile jewelry, but the pieces here are classic yet traditional.
the adjective that comes to mind is ‘attenuated’, refined pieces suitable for a sylph.
welcoming & knowledgeable staff, miles from the hauteur encountered at more than one beverly hills jewelry store: to wit: leon’s on beverly, & jacques mouw/​bhdtc on brighton. [although that attitude is often a sign of the recently arrived in b.h. — acquired snottiness to cloak hicksterness.]
